    Just installed this and have been loving the different styles on armors that were always drab. I find myself drawn to the orange style on the dwarven armor, my only wish is that more armors had the orange style! Great job with this mod!

    For options that are only enabled or disabled, is the chosen option whichever I select last? For example, I select show finishing moveable targets and it pops up it is... Disabled. But my only choice from this screen is to press x. So does doing so then enable it or disable it? Because if I go back to it afterwards, it says it is... Enabled. But again I can only press x, so I don't know if I'm changing it again. Sorry for the confusion TIA

      "XXXX is Enabled/Disabled" is the result of the option you toggled, you can read it as "has been Enabled/Disabled" or "now Enabled/Disabled" if that makes more sense to you. The x button on the message box just means to close it and exit. Some options are shown in Active Effects when Enabled, so that should make your doubts clearer.

    I'm about to start my first official playthrough with your mod on PS5. Is this load order okay? Any suggestions? 1. The Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Community Patch. 2. Survival Rebalanced. 3. Better Male Pre-sets. I think facial attractiveness is subjective, but I can't be bothered to create a good-looking character, so I use the pre-sets. 4. Water and Terrain Enhancement Redux. 5. Obsidian Weathers. I appreciate how this mod obscures the horizon and crude mountains with fog. 6. BIG Jump 2X (Jump twice as high). The difference isn't that noticeable, but it helps with ascending mountains. 7. SET for the Great Hunt. I'm roleplaying as a hunter, so this mod compliments it nicely. It spawns more animals - as well as creatures only seen outside of Skyrim: Boars, Werebears, Frost Giants, etc. 8. Archery Tweaks Plus. Disables auto aim, arrow travel distance restrictions, side-stepping NPCs, etc. 9. Realistic AI Detection Lite (better sneaking). 10. Better Combat AI. 11. YMD2 Combat Overhaul. I also got the 'Camping' and 'Wild Horses' DLC. It's not much compared to some other users, but I don't want to go too crazy. Thanks.

      It doesn't seem to conflict with anything, but as far as I know, 4 is a particularly old mod, so if you have any problems, I recommend disabling it or placing it at the bottom. The mod description says so too.

    I want to use your attack movement (slowed camera) and casting speed tweak mod. Do the tweaks apply to animals, Werebears, Werewolves, etc. as well as human NPCs? Also, I'm using a mod that adds Bear cubs (smaller) and Ice wolves (slightly larger) to Skyrim. Would the tweaks apply to them as well? Thanks.

      It does not. You can try Athletik Combat or Immersive Movement or Realistic Enemies or something, and partially override it with YMDCR Attacking Blocking Casting Movement Tweaks if necessary.

    Hey there. Thanks for answering the last question I posted 2 weeks ago. I've been loving this mod so far, but just a few things I'm curious about. 1. Does this mod also apply to all enemies in the official expansions? I have the Skyrim Special Edition on PS4/PS5. 2. Just how many things can you 'parry', 'time bash', or killmove with zero stamina? 3. Do wolves, crabs, giants, etc., have special heavy attacks you can time bash or parry if you time it correctly? 4. I've been using your combat sound and blood impact mod in tandem with this. However, I've noticed sparks or sounds don't trigger when fighting specific enemies. Is this normal? Cheers. :)

      1: Yes, because most parts of YMD2 are not editing. 2: Quote: "Finishing Move works for Human NPCs/Draugr/Falmer/Dwarven Centurion/Giant/Lurker/Spriggan/Troll/Riekling/Gargoyle. (For Gargoyle, finishing move is only enabled in third person mode.)" 3: Wolf - No, for now. Crab - Impossible. Giant - Yes. Quote: "As far as I know the rest are Boar/Chaurus Hunter/Spider/Wolf and in future updates they may be allowed but not prioritized." (From version 1.43 changelog) 4: Yes. See [Weapon Parry Spark Effect]. Quote: "Default: Sparks only occur if the Target has a weapon. Always ON: Sparks occur even if the animal is Target. Always OFF: No more sparks."

    Hey, I wanted to try pairing a mod with this. It seems compatible, but I just wanted to check. Here's what the mod does: 1. Tunes every single attack cone on every attack creatures can do in game to match their animation more closely. Vanilla enemies also have a huge attack cone that will hit you even if you somehow managed to dodge the actual animation of the hit. This fixes that. 2. Tunes the turn rate for every creature in the game so they are not perfect aim-bots in melee or ranged attacks. Vanilla enemies have a really fast turn rate, which isn't a problem until you are right next to them and they're so fast they never miss. This fixes that. 3. 1H weapons are manoeuvrable, 2h weapons are less so, power attacks are even less. Casters who are channelling are slowed slightly. Archers with bows drawn are more free to aim. 4. While Blocking you are faster than vanilla. With a 1H/2H drawn you are slower than vanilla. If it's compatible, should I load it above or below YMD2? Thanks.

      Looks like DannyQ1988's "Realistic Enemies", if so I already answered that. That was the comment you deleted. My answer was "Yes, in theory. Not tested." However, if you are using "YMDCR Attacking Blocking Casting Movement Tweaks", it is clear that the mod edits the same parts as 3 and 4. You can prioritize either one.

    I love this mod the only issue I have is that I’ll try & swing a battle axe over my head to hit a guy in his face then the kill move is activated to stabbing him in the back , I’ve changed setting & still that’s the only kill move I can get

      I think I received one or two similar reports a few years ago. The cause of this is not clear, but I am planning to include a preventative measure in the mod. Edit: Uploaded as "YMD2 Minor Update File". The link is on the video description, not on the reply, as RUclips may want to manage it.

    Are the instant kill activation dependant on camera angle in third person? When the enemy is the vulnerable state (black mist) I'm having a hard time activating. But when I put de camera right behind my back it works.

      Hmm, maybe so, because the crosshair is inaccurate in third person camera. Personally, I have experienced this happening after the anniversary update, so I feel that something has changed.

    I notice sometimes that if I attack JUST before any enemy attacks, I trigger a killmove. However, their stamina and health isn't always that low. This is really cool, but I just want to understand how it actually works. Is a counter just 25% plus to your base damage or a full 125% to your base damage? I notice in 0:14 of the video, you trigger a killmove even though the NPC still has a lot of health and your weapon doesn't do too much damage. What are the mechanics behind this? Thx.

This is really cool, but I just want to understand how it actually works." - YMD2 does not change Killmove, it is a vanilla feature and sounds like it is what you are experiencing. What are the mechanics behind this?" - Trust me, at 0:14, target's health just dropped below 50%, Skyrim's HUD is weird. And since the target's stamina is 0, the Instant Finishing Move is triggered. (not Killmove.)

    This is a wonderful mod, but I have discovered a rather disheartening exploit and would appreciate it if you read this. Because using the light attack does not consume any stamina and blocking attacks reduces your hit points, you can essentially 'stun-lock' tanking/defensive enemies who are blocking you by spamming the light attack whilst maintaining hitting range. This allows you to stop tanking/defensive enemies recovering from their animations and kill them with no effort. I've done this on Legendary Difficulty with the Hardcore Aggressive AI Mod - it is a shame, because your mod is my all-time favourite combat mod for Skyrim SE on PS5. I have a suggestion for a fix that is pretty straightforward: Add an option that makes each light attack consume stamina, the amounts of which could be customisable in the settings. This way, even if you do 'stun-lock' tanking enemies who are blocking, you cannot ever kill them by constantly spamming light attack - your stamina will rapidly deplete, and you will not be able to attack for a short period. In addition, add an option that allows you to customise the stamina regeneration rate. Do you think introducing these fixes/options is possible? Please comment on this if you have the time and thanks for your attention.

      Did you delete your comment after asking the question before? Don't do that. I'm not talking to you on private messages, I'm supporting users on my mod comments. It's not a "stun-lock", they can cancel the block hit animation and attack at any time so it's a quirk of Combat AI and if it's a Combat AI mod then it's a mod issue. Even in vanilla, tank type AI likes it, especially while not 1 vs 1, and it makes sense. In my opinion the light attack stamina cost doesn't match the game so I won't implement it in YMD2, but you are free to install such mods and try them out.

      ​@@cyan4977 Hey there, thanks for getting back to me. Unfortunately, I have fastidiously experimented with many other combat AI mods (including YMD2 Tweak Plus) and this exploit still exists. If you time the light attack correctly, maintain the perfect distance, and start spamming light attacks when an NPC blocks, you can get them stuck in an 'animation loop' whereby they are forced to continue blocking - they never bash, attack, or cancel the animation - and because you are draining their health/hit points all the time, they eventually die. Trust me when I state it is not an Combat AI mod issue -- it is not the overhaul either, I think it is just the vanilla game itself. Combating single tanking NPCs becomes so easy - I only mentioned Legendary Difficulty and Hardcore Aggressive AI to highlight how effective the exploit is. Another simple fix for this would be adding a customisable option to stop NPCs losing any health/hit points if you use light attacks on their blocks. Do you think that would work or be possible in a small update? I know you probably have better things to do, but your mod is great and I just thought I would suggest it. Yes, I occasionally delete my comments for various reasons, but sure, I will leave them here if they are valued. :)

      @@jamiewatts333 It cannot be implemented as an option. But you can install blocking mods, the first one I found is "Effective Blocking" by LBGSHI.

      @@cyan4977 Oh, fantastic. :) Is that on the PS5? I've been using YMD2 Combat Overhaul, YMD2 Combat AI Tweaks, YMDCK Attacking Blocking Casting, and Combat Sound and Attack Impact. If Effective Blocking is available on PS5, what load order would you recommend for all of them together? Also, do you have any other mod recommendations to fix or at least minimise this exploit? Thanks for being so helpful.

      @@jamiewatts333 My four mods you listed do not conflict with each other. It is clear that Effective Blocking needs to be placed below (after) YMD2 Combat Overhaul. Of course, it's a PS4 (5) mod.

    Hey. I love this mod, but I'm wondering if you can help me. There's a mod I want to try with YMD2 and your Combat AI Tweaks Plus Mod on PS5. Here's the description: -removed sidestep on Archers. -turned off auto aim on bows and arrows - Archers can now lead targets, no more arrows firing behind moving targets. -use stamina when bow drawn. -bleed effect added to overdraw perk does 3/6/9/12/15 points of damage for 3 seconds. -arrows and bolts fly 50% faster and affected by realistic earth gravity. -arrows changed to 25, bolts set to 20. -NPCs use ammo - no more being forever pelted with arrows by enemy archers. -follower hunting bow bug fixed - followers will now equip bows given to them. -critical hits can pin limbs. -added recipe for ancient Nord arrows - steel perk required, under steel category. -added recipe for Nord hero arrows - advanced armours perk required, under steel category. Is this compatible with YMD2 and your Combat AI Tweaks Plus Mod on PS5? What load order would you recommend? Finally, is it true that you can counter/deal extra damage to an enemy by striking during the beginning and end of their attack animation? If so, did you ever consider indicating a successful counter with a unique sound effect? It can be difficult to tell. Thanks.

      It's "Immersive Realism - Archery", yeah, 2 days ago I just answered a bunch of questions that included that question, but somehow he (or youtube?) deleted it. That's annoying. 1: Yes, because YMD2 does not edit NPC/Perk Tree/Arrow/Bolt. 2: Yes, it works like that. No, the sound effects are for Weapon Parry and Parry Bash.

    How have you disabled kill cam? I have this mod installed and I get the kill cam like the vanilla version. Also it is impossible to get more than one finisher per fight.

      You're talking about two different things. The "Instant Finishing Move" the video showed is a YMD2 feature, not "Killmove". If you want to tweak killmove, install the killmove mod. The mod search is f, but you should be able to find what you want.

      I enjoyed yours better. Way better combat. But I am having a hard time understanding when the enemy is vulnerable for instant kill. Is it when he falls to his knees and there's a louder metallic sound? Thanks for replying and congratulations for this mod. I'm on PS5 by the way.

    Great mod, but I have a question. In the description you said that the choise of difficouly is connected with the number of crafting skills. Why?

      In my opinion, choosing one of Alchemy/Enchanting/Smithing is good for casual playing the game, especially on YMD2 difficulty. Also, this works like a character talent from a roleplaying perspective. Enchanting or Smithing can affect your weapon/armor/stats quite a bit, but at some point (early) all items you loot from dungeons become obsolete. Alchemy itself can improve Enchanting or Smithing, or everything, but the effect is temporary.

    Just got the mod, i wonder how the instant kill move works, i press X when i think the enemy's stamina is zero and health are below 50% yet no instant kill move? i tried to practice with getting a draugr down on their knee, forgive me if im being stupid lol
