Sparta is probably one of my favorites of the SORCS events. If you get the chance try to go to one if you haven't.

It's crazy how the camera doesn't even do it justice how tight it was.

My first time racing here, it was a great course.

I was racing #555 he is in my class - other riders in other classes on the trail at the same time. This was a harescramble.

I got him on the turn before, but he got me on the one that counts. ha

This was such a fun race. I don't think I've ridden that hard in a while.

Absolutely love the 4 stroke and it would be hard for me to go back to 2T. I had a Beta 250RR Race Ed. It was good, but I just love the smoothness of the 350. I will say, I do miss my lightning fast starts with the 2T, but not enough to go back right now.

This track got better as the day went on.

You looked good jumping through the air, after last year I had to keep the jumps in check. Haha, It was a tough one to get through.

Thanks! I felt so good after the race, could have done more laps. On the 2T I always felt like I worked so much harder. I should do an overview right after the race, I just always remember the race different than the video, that could be funny though.

I’ve been hearing that is helping with stalling, will have to try that.

@@auksmittyHe was clearly taking to me. You need to bump your idle down, that helps a ton.

Thanks and I 100% agree! I’m learning the 4T wants throttle the entire time whereas my 2T would freewheel.

@@auksmittyunfortunately, you won’t get to see the overlays on this one. The gps is lacking in robustness at the moment. The download process is way to cumbersome to do the full video and it times out for long videos, so for the moment, it will just be short videos. Hope to see some updates that allow quicker integrations and file transfers.

No, not on the start because it’s a dead engine start. The quick shifter only works from 2nd - up. You still need to clutch from 1st to 2nd. Now, you could if you started in 2nd but in my races I’d never need third that quick. Now mid-race the quick shift is great, it’s an instant shift. I love this bike. It’s as nimble as my Beta in the tight woods while having tons of controllable power. This bike makes tough races actually fun! It also does amazing on hills. The downside for me is that I don’t love the start button, I like a more of a button push. This last race I found myself stalling and starting while rolling so maybe I’m just getting used to it. Highly recommend this bike, the exhaust note is great and makes me want to go harder to hear the bark. Ha!

@@auksmitty I’m getting the factory edition. As for starts I start in second gear. I’ve also heard If you bump the idle up a little bit less flame outs. I might go with the Recluse clutch. Can’t wait to ride it. Awesome videos you have 👍🏻

Thanks for watching. I wish I could have seen the FE350, but around me they are hard to find. I assume it’s basically the same just with a headlight, I ended up going with the 2024 FX350. I’ll eventually get myself in trouble because I just want to hear it growl a little too much.

I just checked and I was going to cut you a clip from it, but I ducked my head to keep the roost off me at your start so you can't see anything. Nice job on the holeshot!

Haha Oh man, I knew you were letting me by and I hated I ruined it. I’m just glad we all got out of that with only bruised egos.

Haha you didn't hold me up at all, and no judging unless it's Adam! Can't wait to do it again. Hopefully I'll have a better mount for the gopro this time and can get some footage of you all if I can keep up!

He had a pretty long picnic on the big hill if you saw that part.

@@auksmitty Having to wrestle the bike on the hill just takes so much energy. Especially when it gets caught in a tree like that.

@@RedEarthMotoSports sorry to hear that. Was this your first time there? I was there in November and it was lots of fun then. The main difference between the two was that November was a fresh course and this time it rained the night before the race. There were some added sections this time but it was pretty much the same course as November.

@@johnchafin3817 No, This is the same course I caught a root last season and blew out my knee. The property is beautiful, I just make dumb decisions there. Next time I go, I will try to be a little more selective with my line choice.

I was shocked there were so many jams as well. I don't think I have ever seen that many at the start of one race.
