I think it would be good if you wear the watch in some part of the video, to see how it looks in a casual way, not only the detail shots. I’m considering to but this watch, it was really useful to know that 36 suits you well, because 41 is too big with this kind of beisel

I've got the same Seamaster. I never wear it now after getting my 36mm Explorer. It wears comically big.

I can't get my AD to budge on prices.

You should bring the watch to the AD and have Rolex fix the rehaut. The alignment is one of the common ways you can spot a fake. I wouldn’t just accept it. I’ve sent a watch back to Rolex for a similar QC issue and they addressed it. I had a wait a few weeks while it was sent back, but it was addressed no charge.

I am surprised that Rolex did not charge you extra for the rehaut fault. Nice enough watch but not as nice as the 1970/80s OPs (these pastel dials are hideous) and definitely not worth the high cost.

I recently purchased a new 2023 GMT. I am very impressed with the build quality, the look, and the overall feel on the wrist. The accuracy is absolutely unbelievable. Its build quality is very near, if not as near, as the build quality of Rolex. Additionally, I ordered the Tudor leather strap and buckle which also looks amazingly classic. This watch dresses up or down. They have increased significantly in price over the last couple of years, however, they are worth the investment and they seem to hold their value quite well after the date issue was corrected in 2020 or so.

Is there a link to this Chronomat vlog you mentioned? The Laureato & the Chonomat are 2 watches Im currently obsessing over..

I have both both the SARB033 and the SARB035. Bought them 12 days ago from a gentleman in Edinburgh who was selling off his late brother's chattels. Both watches were boxed and unused. Put straps on both for a better look. Fantastic. A great find.

I’m going to state the obvious, the diver 65 and the Aquis share the same movement. You mention that the Aquis was losing several seconds a day that still is very good and is much better then what Seiko advertises as excerptible.

I was in the gp boutique yesterday and the laureato was stunning

GP is very similar in cachet to JLC in that watch enthusiasts know it’s good, but nobody else has heard of it. However unlike JLC (specifically the Reverso) the Laureato while it may have an authentic provenance in the early 70s, looks too derivative of the Royal Oak. With the Reverso people will admire your choice of the originator of this iconic design, however sadly with the Laureato people are gonna think “he couldn’t afford the Royal Oak”, in fact I’d be thinking that myself all the time if I owned it. So much as I think this is a lovely piece, I couldn’t own it.

The OP and SMP are the best 2 watch collection ever. Wish I could wear the SMP - my wrist is too small :(

Nice purchase! My girlfriend has just got a candy pink OP 36mm and I've gone for the 41mm green OP - got them as wedding gifts for each other. Solid choices and hope they last a very long time.

Have you got any scratches or day to day wear? Just trying to find out how one should use this watch, kept in a display box or worn daily and even working outside .
