My Copper Life
Добавлен 26 апр 2010
I am a jewelry artist and use copper wire, semi precious stone beads, crystals and other findings to create unique pieces. All of my jewelry is handmade with copper wire, some is silver plated or occasionally gold plated. The silver pieces are generally coated in an anti tarnish coating to help keep it from tarnishing. My channel is designed to demonstrate how I make my pieces, but is not a tutorial channel. I am currently not sponsored by any of the products I use. I hope you enjoy watching me create as much as I enjoy creating!

Very cool!! They are prettty!!
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed the video! 💜
What a sweet holiday project! Would be fun to use green wire and red beads. Love your work!
Thank you! Yes! There are a lot of variations one could do with colored wire. I even thought about filling the center of the leaf with transparent green UV resin. 😊
Love those earrings. They are perfect!
@@KatnySnead Thank you! 💜
Really, really like these. Looks like something I could do. I just discovered you and I have subscribed. I like your voice overs. It's much better than loud music.
@@louieedmonds6989 Thank you! I am still learning a lot and am thankful for the feedback! 💜
This is SO cute!! Thank you for sharing!! Happy Belated birthday!! Also, where do you get the silver beads?
Thank you! I got the beads off of Amazon a long while back. 😊
OMG I love the ginger man but these snowman, omg I love.Thank you so much for both tutorials. A treat as always 🥰
You are more than welcome! Thank you for your kind words! I’m so glad you are enjoying the tutorials. 💜
Wow. This is my first time watching you. I have seen a wire rose before- kind of- it was not clear what was being done where. But this is so good! Very clear. I love the rose and the leaves. Beautiful!
Thank you so much for your feedback! I am glad you enjoyed it! ❤️

@@Mycopperlifesome people can’t help but to be unkind, you just started your channel. The ornament is adorable!
Thank you!
Could the rose be glued or soldered onto a flat steel post.
It could possibly be soldered, but I’ve never soldered anything, so I’m not entirely sure. I have several clients who I know and they wear these earrings and they have held up really well. I put them in a tumbler to harden the wire when I finish oxidizing them. 😊
Those are cute! Have you tried twisting the post wire to stiffen it up?
No I haven't! Thanks for the great tip!!
Also, I forgot, I usually just throw them in the tumbler after I oxidize them, so they do harden in there.
Bello trabajo!
Thank you!
Cute!
Thank you! Glad you liked them!
Very nice!

Love the roses and bracelet! A voice over would make it easier to follow along. I hope you consider it someday.
I am definitely considering doing that. Thank you for the feedback! I just have to figure out all this editing stuff. 💜
Love the bracelet, hate the no-talking video. I don’t know why this is a thing.
Glad you enjoyed the video. Some don’t like the talking and others do. I am just starting out on this RUclips journey, so this may change as I learn how to edit and do all the stuff, but for now, they are purely demonstration videos. 💜

what do you have wrapped around your plyers?
The white coating you see on the tips of my pliers is called Tool Magic. It really helps prevent tool marks. However, it does not last forever. I have to redo it every few projects or so. Great question!
So sweet and dainty. I love roses. See you soon. (:
Thank you! 💜
I love these roses!!!!

Awesome tutorial. Beautiful turquoise. Thank you again for all you do to help us beginners plus out.
Thank you for your encouragement! I am a beginner at this RUclips stuff, so we are beginners together.
how do you keep your Parawire from the finish wearing off. especially in the sun.
I haven't had any issues personally with the finish wearing off. I don't wear the silver jewelry while doing work projects or in the shower and things of that nature as I would any silver jewelry. My copper jewelry from there I wear all the time, in and out of the shower, etc. and it holds up nicely.
I think it especially wears off quickly on rings and bracelets. Pendants and earrings aren't so much a problem.
I love your rose bracelet I didn’t understand what you did with the other smaller gauge of wire when you went out of frame. The roses are beautifully done and I would really like to make them. You are so so good with wire. You also went a little fast for me lol. Thanks for any help
Also I was wondering were you get your pliers. I have the regular nylon pliers and the round nose nylon but haven’t seen the others. Thanks for any help
I just wrapped the loops together then closed the ends. I show a freeze frame of it completed right after that part of the video. Sorry for the going out of frame. I am trying to learn to keep in frame as this is all new to me.
My tools I mainly use are the Webbers brand and then I have a second cheaper off brand. The white coating you see on my pliers is called tool magic. It's a tiny tub of a thick liquid substance that I dip the ends of my tools in and then let them dry overnight. The coating lasts through a few projects and I have to recoat them. It is really good for eliminating a lot of the tool marks.
I’ve been wanting to get good at making the rose component. The close up shots were very helpful! I have a question, your nylon tipped chain nose pliers…I have never seen them only the standard nylon jaw pliers. It would help so much to keep the tool marks to a minimum. Would you please tell us where we may purchase them? Thank you!

Mulțumesc! ❤E superbă brățara și nu cred că era nevoie și de voce, neapărat. Totul este foarte clar explicat prin imagini.🌹Superbă!
Thank you for your kind encouragement! I’m glad you enjoyed it. 😊💜
Thank you for sharing with us. I have a comment about the two little loops behind the rose, can't we join them together when we open them and then close, I think it will be secure enough without linking them with new smaller gauge wire. Just my opinion.
Yes, if your loops overlap, you could do that. I just find it easier to use the smaller gauge wire and it keeps the back a flat profile rather than a small lump from looping the two together. I hope that makes sense. I feel it makes the roses lay flatter on the wrist. If your roses have enough space in the domed part of the rose, It is possible to push it up in there, but I haven’t had good luck with getting it all flush. 😊
I wouldn't cut it at all. I would squish it down and twist it a little. If their too long you could use a smaller end of the mandrel
I’d also like to add that the reason I tie these together at all is to prevent the bracelet from pulling apart, if it were to get snagged or yanked on something.
You are so creative!! Thanks for sharing with other jewelry lovers🥰❤️!!
Thank you! I so enjoy creating and I am glad you enjoyed watching. 💜
OMG I love your work and tutorials. I just saw your rose bracelet, so I had to check your channel and absolutely love it. I can't wait to see the remaining and definitely the new tutorials. Thank you for sharing your work and time.

I love the rose link bracelet. It is beautiful! I wish you were talking during the video. I would love to follow along. I know some people are shy about talking on camera. Have you thought doing a voice-over afterwards explaining what you are doing?
You hit the nail on the head! I have not yet got the courage to do voice overs yet. I just recently(about 6 weeks ago) started this RUclips journey. I am still learning the art of video editing and such. It may take me a bit, but I will get there in time. As of right now, I am just doing demonstration type videos that may turn into more of a tutorial type video. Thank. You so much for your feedback. I am learning and hopefully grow from all the great input! 💜
Thank you for the detailed description of wire/tools needed. This is helpful. The pendant is beautiful!
