    NEETdom is based if you're gaming the system for as much money as possible, are actually proactive with your time, have hustles, are learning skills and ultimately investing energy into improving your circumstances so you don't have to wageslave. Just rotting as a NEET is a death sentence though. It's a trap because the situation will progressively worsen as you fall deeper into poverty and mental decay without realizing the death by a thousand cuts. Wageslaving without progression and movement is as bad.

    What I never understood is why every stinking human needs to be employed, at some kind of school, or in training at any or all times in life. As though there was no other possible formula out there that led to a good, livable existence. Almost as if "neet" is an acronym capitalists invented to shame the disabled, unfortunate, or those awakened to a corrupt system.

Try everything until you find something that inspires you to keep going back to it. I found my profession through someone giving me a camera I had no idea how to use. Hello I'm the guy from video. If anyone is reading this. I came back to this video after long time (5 years it seems) and was surprised that it has so many comments and views. I felt like I needed to give some update, it feels weird because I doubt anyone cares but if so many people saw it then surely someone must. There are few regrets I have with the interview first I said I have Avoidant Personality Disorder. That turned out to not really be true. It's what I though I had but not really, I had some different personality disorder but honestly it doesn't matter with psychiatry diagnosis can change and they did a lot so it's not that big of a deal to me anymore. Technically I'm diagnosed as social phobic which I think fits. Also I was definitely very hopeless in the video and there's nothing wrong with that but I do want to give some kind of hope. A lot of has changed. I'm not really a NEET or Hikikomori anymore. I'm currently studying trying to finish high school. If everything goes well I graduate in a year. I also have plans to further study Psychology. My dream is to be helpful to others who struggle with mental health and to whom feel lonely, neets, hikikomori.... as I feel lucky to overcome something like that and I owe it to myself to give that back to someone. I also just really enjoy talking to people and listening to their stories, despite my social anxiety. I honestly love people which causes me sometimes great suffering but might aswell use that for something. I have made two seminars about hikikomori in different cities with a japanese person trying to spread awareness of it, as it is not that well known here yet but I already met many who would be considered such and talking to them brings me joy. Honestly it would be very long to describe how I got out of it, all I can say is, even if it feels pointless and hopeless try taking tiny step into taking care of yourself. For me I actually didn't brush my teeth everyday only once every two days. I prommised to myself to try to do it everyday. I was surprised when I sticked to that and it honestly felt amazing and motivating, yeah I know that might seem silly its such a little thing but if we don't compare that to others and to ourselves only its a huge step you can be proud of. I believe that was my first step into improving. Finally I must say not all is rainbows while I definitely improved and honestly I'm quite happy with myself, I still have some way to go. One of my biggest issue still is loneliness. I have no idea if that ever will be solved for me and to be honest I don't exactly understand why many people don't stick with me but hopefully one day. As much suffering as that brings all we can do is move forward and hope for better. It's a big sacrifice to help yourself but do not wait, no one will magically appear and help you but you have yourself and that's who you need to care for even if you think you don't deserve it. That's all from me. Hopefully this will reach someone and have a good life y'all.

    I can relate to this guy too much, almost feels like a second version of myself, not to mention that I myself played only MMOs over these years, even during high school while I was already socially distancing myself as much as I possibly could, I am into Visual Novels as well, which is quite a niche in itself. Social anxiety, depression, maybe some form of PTSD too. Still want to find a suiting psychiatrist, but I can't bring myself to make the first step and calling around. Can't bring myself to go back to university, I have a hard time talking to anyone, I always wish that I am not crossing a single soul if I ever must go out. The thought of ever having to work somewhere (excluding home office or smth) makes me wish I just never were born in the first place. But usually I even skip the supermarket visits. Because of my restlessness I take adderall, which literally makes me playing the same game for sometimes 30 hours straight, no appetite or will to sleep, if I can't sleep, which is almost everyday (my sleep schedule varies just as much), I will just smoke myself high enough to be tired after a while. This has been my life for 2 years now, before that it always was similar with the only exception of me forcing myself to go to school, obviously skipping quite a few days or going home early if I felt the need to. Now living off of student loan as long as I can, always in doubt and fear what could happen afterwards...

    The point regarding Alexander the Great is somewhat null. Alexander had an excess of opportunity due to being the son of an already mighty king (of Macedon). He was tutored by the best minds of the era, even by Aristotle, Diognenes, etc. Read more into diognenes the cynic. Alexander actually said “Had I not been Alexander, I should have liked to be Diogenes."of Alexander had not been in the position he had been, he would have been a loser wandering the streets of Athens mocking the sheep.

    being unemployed in germany is not so bad, you get about 500 € per month to pay electricity bill, food and clothes, you get your healthcare insurance payed by the state, you get payed a flat including heating costs and even you can sometimes get a one-time payment (about 1200 € I assume) for your basic houshold intereur needs, when you need to rent a new flat, like buying a small kitchen and a bed and stuff, because flats in germany mostly come unfurnished

    I was actually thinking of a different kind of NEET in today's society. It's practically financial freedom, just with extra.. steps? Handicaps? But anyways, rather than living off of your parents. I was thinking of a concwept of NEETS living off of dividends or trading in stocks. 1. It doesn't necessarily requires you to socialize. 2. You don't need to get out of your room. 3. You're practically sustaining yourself. What do you guys think?

    • @jasonoconnor1150
      @jasonoconnor1150 11 месяцев назад

      I think that makes a lot of sense. Most people who work 9-5 are still very unhappy. NEET lifestyle but you actually make some money is a lot more desirable compared to working in an office. But is living off dividends or trading a practical goal to set? I wouldn't even know where to start.

    • @ignatiusloyolamulti1186
      @ignatiusloyolamulti1186 11 месяцев назад

      @jasonoconnor1150 Well, the thing about the market is that it's volatile. At best, the only way to go out of the endless cycle of torture of socializing.. is to a ctualky socialize 1st. Assuming we're all starting from 0. You're gonna have to start a 9-5 AND actually save at best 70% of your income and invest them. You can try outsourcing your money to Indonesia. Based on my analysis, indo will go through a recession by 2024 - 2025. This means the majority of the stocks in here should be.. well.. fucked. Either that or bitcoin. But if you're into emerging market stocks, you can aim for PTBA from Indonesia. We have a 20-30% dividend annually. But not stable. It can at best 10 - 30% range. Rather than investing them into Wells forgo and the such, which provides insignificant dividends. But do keep in mind that Indonesia's geopolitical conditions are.. crazy. PTBA in itself is a government owned company. It won't go bankrupt, but it does have looooads of drama.

    • @chomcat1910
      @chomcat1910 11 месяцев назад

      This is just wishful thinking at best and straight up delusional at worst. If living solely off of investments/trading stocks was so easy and financially efficient, then everyone would be doing it. Not only that, but you need tens or even hundreds of thousands of dollars to start just to be able to make any meaningful amount back. Not exactly accessible for people without jobs unless they're already rich or have rich parents. And not to mention how this is pretty much just gambling your money away if you're not an inside trader, which most people aren't.

    • @darealmrog
      @darealmrog 4 месяца назад

      @@mberto370 The thing you dont understand is that your brain is lying to you. It tells you "stay inside, outside is too stressful, too many people" but really you should be saying "go outside, being inside will just keep making it worse" Its very good if you find some friends to go outside to hang out with, they'll pretty much force you to go outside, but if you don't have friends, then start going on walks: pick a point to start from, walk 10km (hills, forest is my favorite) and go to the point B. A good point B is a store, where you can buy yourself whatever for the half time reward, food, cigs, a nice beverage, whatever. Make sure to talk to people along the way, even just a hello is more than enough, people in cities would want to crucify you even if you looked at their direction. When you're done with botching simple conversation buying a beer (don't worry, i've been there) then start heading back, picking a different route. By the way, when you smile or whatever, dont force it, you'll look like a psychopath. Yes I'm talking to you. Whenever you smile it has to come from your heart, once you start enjoying interaction you'll naturally want to smile more. Small talk is your friend, don't be scared to ask people what breed their dog is, I once saw a huge-ass Kangal just strolling with his owner (he was half as big as me). Remember that it's never over until you give up. Walks are not only good for mental health, but the human interaction you'll get with it will help you tremendously. There's many things to see in the forest, you can forage for mushrooms, see cool wildlife you never knew existed, you can pick berries, you can even find undiscovered groundwater sources near rivers (you gotta look real close). Hope this helped a bit, there's so many things I could say, but it's really up to you to fix your life. I know my story, not your story. I know what helped me, and only you can find out what will help you.

      Because chad genetics pretty much never go neet. The lower quality your genetics, the higher amount of work you have to do. And at one point, the competition is so brutal that statistically, many won't make it.

      The guy is probably a "black pill-er". These types, overwhelmingly young men, are basically self-proclaimed losers in life who feel an extreme degree of entitlement to everything in life from a job to a romantic partner. And when denied any of those, they immediately give up on life and resort to blaming their troubles on frankly irrelevant factors (like genetics) rather than introspecting and improving themselves. E.g. - Can't get a girlfriend? It can't possibly be their inability to socialize or get out of their comfort zone. It MUST be their "ugly" physical appearance and/or women's fault for having too high of standards.

      The correlation between genetics and habits/personality is pretty hard to argue against, unfortunately. It's an unfairness that society has yet to acknowledge in a meaningful way. Maybe someday.

    I've been a Neet for 2 years or so now. Through high school I felt listless and just scraped by but the shift to college I got significantly worse and eventually stopped going. Failed 2 college courses due to attendance. I hate relying on my family to keep afloat but I can't hold down a job and I cant stay consistent with anything.I have a girlfriend who adores me and family who provide for me but I just cant seem to be satisfied with life or be grateful for everything thats done to support me. I dont know if im a lost cause or if im just selfish. I went to a job interview today but ended up coming home feeling demoralised I dont know what to do anymore anyone got any advice? I just dont want to be like this anymore lol.

      Try setting easy goals that you can accomplish, give yourself credit for at least trying, even if you only try for five minutes and give up. Try and grasp that failure is mandatory, the more you bounce back from failures the easier it becomes to do so. Those little hoes from school...boo boo Keep going, dude
