The future sound of techno & a chunk of what electronic music came afterwards is contained in these three and a half minutes from 1979. Inspired choice to use the footage from I think Psalter Lane Art College though of course I could be wrong given age and memory.

The lovely irony of a new wave group with an all-electronic accompaniment singin "Rock 'n roll". The message is clear: the days of guitars and drum kits are numbered, this decade will be electronic.

Thanks for posting "Glimmer" Mark. I remember buying this as a gate fold for the single "No one driving". The other vocal song was "This city" I seem to recall. Oddly I actually preferred the 2 instrumental tracks, "Glimmer" and "Mr No". The best quid that I've ever spent. It doesn't have to be an oxymoron, machine music can be beautiful 🧡
