How to use Antimicrobial shield in a car - For Car's Sake
Do you have an old car that smells a little funky? Well, this is certainly one way to sort it out! It's really inexpensive to get a can of antibacterial shield or antimicrobial shield can to run it in your car to make it smell nice again.
Now of course if you have a water leak in the car, or rotting food under the car seat, this is never going to fix your moldy smell. But if it's just age, this would certainly help your ten plus year old car.
So if you're thinking about it, just watch this video and DIY! easy and simple. Just make sure you do it in a safe area and keep an eye on your car. Hope it helps!

Please keep comments clean. Hi all, this is not my usual content but I wanted to share what happened to me this morning on the 11th April 2024. It was a near miss with a 2016 Mercedes S500 Coupe with the VIC number plate VAU600 this morning. I am thankful of my speedy reaction and also glad I had the dash cam. This vehicle was $325,000 brand now and still worth around $100,000 today. Just goes ...
Custom manual bracket for CVT chassis - Honda EK Civic

As part of the project Honda Civic EK VTi sedan, I am manual swapping it! Today is the day I mock up the manual bracket for the CVT chassis. Some of the key highlights include me going through the mock up and design of the bracket. As you will see, I have used some cardboard to create the mock up ready for metal work afterwards. I plan to make the bracket out of 3mm steel plates matching OEM wi...
How to swap manual pedals - Honda EK Civic

As part of the project Honda Civic EK VTi sedan, I am manual swapping it! Today is the day I swap over the brake pedal and install these “mugen” copy pedals. Some of the key highlights include me breaking the auto break pedal, realising the brake light switch location is different between auto and manual brake pedals, and just overall working in such a tight space under the dash. As you will se...

EVERYTHING you need to know to manual swap your EK Civic! I do assume you have some basic understanding/experience with working on cars hence I’ve skipped parts such as how to remove a drive shaft/axle. Final parts* of the manual swap! - Honda EK Civic

As part of the project Honda Civic EK VTi sedan, I am starting to manual swap it! Today is the day I “finish”. I realised there is something quite unique to my S20 gearbox! Removing auto shifter tunnel & manual linkage installed! - Honda EK Civic

As part of the project Honda Civic EK VTi sedan, I am starting to manual swap it! Today I realise I prefer the use a reciprocating saw way more than a cutting disc. If you’re trying to perform this manual swap on either a D or B series Honda, you’ll find this little automatic shifter cable tunnel getting in the way and must be removed. Once that little tunnel was cut, it took quite a bit of eff...
Manual swap wiring - Honda EK Civic

As part of the project Honda Civic EK VTi sedan, I am starting to manual swap it! Today I burnt myself while soldering! Apart from that, I have removed the auto shifter, because of how it’s designed, it might be harder than you think to remove it. After that is removed, you also need to wire up the reversing light unless you’re looking at replacing the manual ecu and manual engine harness as we...
How to install clutch pedal, master cylinder, slave cylinder - Honda EK Civic

As part of the project Honda Civic EK VTi sedan, I am starting to manual swap it! Today is a big one as I replace the T-bracket, install the clutch slave cylinder, master cylinder, reservoir, and clutch pedal onto the auto/cvt EK Civic. It is pretty cool although this is an automatic chassis, Honda has made allowances on the vehicle to be a manual making it very easy to do so. I am also showing...

Hello I’m swapping my Vi ferió from CVT auto to 5 speed. And I’m having trouble with the transmission mount. Which one did you use? Since our chasis are different from regular automatic Eks.
@@allmotorpete there are two options. Make a mount or use the manual mount and add rivet nut inserts
@ ok cool, thanks. I ended up buying a bracket and mount from Innovative Mounts.
Thank you man, the best bet on a budget. We would like to see before and after pictures of them indtalled
Awesome video mate, So is the 4AT T bracket different from the MT as well or is it just the CVT bracket which is unique?
@Mike-ry4ti auto should be the same, only the cvt is different
👍👍👍💯
you Honda fan boys, Honda really stick it to you
stupid Honda such a simple job make it so difficult , time consuming, 3.5 hour at 250 an hour
@@dondon8398 it took that long because I was doing it with a hammer. But definitely some brands have easier ways to do this. Surely all brands have quirks like this?
K&N is worst!take better the Simota pannel filter.
@@jdmler any insights into why?
Long time no hear from you. Have you changed the car??
@volodymyrforos1031 yes it's been a while! This is just my other car 😁 Mazda MX-5
Nice work! Where you get that steel braided clutch line from?
@jonathanamador7748 I just got it second hand but just search and you'll find it easy.
Overpaid
good thing its removable😅
Hey Mann, I'm in need of parts for my civic, same model as yours.
@presleyufer7543 I suggest searching on Facebook and join your local EK Facebook groups. Hope it helps!
Must’ve soaked with liquid wrench for 3 months before this

Is this a d16y4 engine ? 1.6L non vtec?
@adam_compactlife4630 this is a d16y5 1.6 vtec but overall very similar
@@forcarssake thanks it looks very same
hey man, love the video, im up to dealing with this part on one of my civics, im thinking about welding up a bracket similar to this. How is it holding up long term? If you have completed and used it. Cheers
@megumintheexplosive2431 hey man, I still haven't done it yet. But I'll be getting back into it soon!
I like both atleast
My dad has Corolla cross hybrid
But he will buy BYD Han
Do i have to wire reverse light when I put an manual ecu in my b16a2 swap? The car was an auto all that was done was the clutch pedal and gearshift fabrication. The reverse lights worked but all the sudden dont, got volts on fuse on both pins but absolutely no voltage anywhere for the yellow wire in engine loom to reverse switch. None of the honda lads are bothering to help me out so I'm stuck here
@pixelgaming4603 sorry man, but I'm not 100% sure what is causing it to not work in your case
How is it running with the A/T ECU? I’m getting ready to do this conversion on my EK3 in the U.S and if I don’t have to get a different ECU that’ll be perfect. Great video!
Hi my I ask do I need to change my ECU too if I do A/T to M/T swap?
@@ivanjulce1102 in this case, no
3000!?! That’s a rip off tho who ever sold it must have felt like a god I won’t lie lol, but I’d pay 1 and a half k at most😅
@thatguy8012 you watched the video?
Unless you have access to a JDM/EDM stereo fascia with intact A/C vents; DON'T DO THIS. USDM vents DO NOT FIT. You will wind up with 2 ugly, gaping holes in your dash, that is going to cost you a minimum of $150 USD to fill them with the proper sized and imported AC Vents. I just UNDID my 9 inch headunit and ac relocation for a stock set up with a true single din android stereo, and it looks 1,000 times better.
@GoneAsGoneCanBe surprised to hear that but I wouldn't know given I'm in Australia
@@forcarssake I LOVED the big screen, but not having anything in the vent holes made the overall install look atrocious. I was also surprised when I actually popped out my original vents to glue them in and they did not fit. Leaving me with a useless stock bezel and an ugly aftermarket one. Which is why I went to the wreckers and got a "new" one. THIS ONLY APPLIES TO USDM CIVICS, as I know there are some differences in the wiring in the Aussie market compared to every where else when it comes to 96-98 and 99-00 eks. With that being said there are some work arounds that people have found for usdm civics with out having to convert the entire dash over to a 99-00. Like cutting the bezel with vents out of the oem one, and doing the same to the 9 inch fascia and gluing/plastic wleding/body working the front until it looks good again. Or cutting a section out of the stock vents and gluing them back together. All 3 of these options sound like more time/effort/money than it is worth it to me. I now rock a 5.8 inch screen, it looks perfectly at home in my stock dash, has all the same features as the 9inch stereo I had installed, with the bonus of having a volume knob.
I ran into the same thread pattern too. Noticed how tight it was driving in. The search for a correct bolt begins
Very nice work. I'm missing the purpose of the long armrest ? And you loose the middle space passenger seat also ?
@2Drezik I'd say styling, extra storage and the back seat is probably more suited for 2 anyways.
@@forcarssake yep, get it. Very nice channel btw
HereaaH! NeaaH! GeaaH! Made my day! 😂
Wow. Hope it's as easy as it looks 😂.

2 DIN consoles are expensive nowadays!😅
Just did this on my Acura Integra. It is true. With everthing (harness, dash in car) this is not as easy to do. Also true, manual and auto throttle cable (connection at the pedal) are different. Helpful tips: disconnect the brake light switch (before you begin unbolting assembly). You do not need to undo the brake booster lines, come out to the engine bay and pull it way gently (careful to not bend the hardlines). Lastly, lock up your steering and drop the column. Its helpful if you have a second person to sustain the column a bit. Hope this helps someone. This is how I converted the entire assembly over to manual.
Thanks for the tips man!
Thank you exacly what i needed bro 🙏🏼
Do you also need a manual intake manifold and throttle body? Really good stuff mate!
hey man great video it helped me do mine this weekend im almost finished. Do i need to get a manual ECU or is the auto one fine to run? Are you driving with the auto and its fine?
where do you plug in the other hose? there’s 2 hoses & 1 electrical connector but only room for 1 of each on the new intake
block off the hose with the black cap. that's what I did
@@Elysium3301doesn’t that cause the car to run funny ?
no
Had the MERC collided with your car the first time it would have been entirely their fault ,with dash cam proof ,and consequently no second incident .
Yeah that's what I was thinking too but obviously want to avoid an accident.
@@forcarssake natural instinct
I didn't learn how to do this I'm sorry 😢
Which part did you struggle with?
The brake/gas pedal as one. I cannot wrap my mind around it. Said f it and cut the brake pedal. I don't get it
I struggled too to take it out as one, so I pulled the brake pedal out from the top.
It's really stupid, that the stupid Mercedes driver in this video is so stupid, that they did not realise their stupidity, such that they come back and cut you off as if you were the one at fault 😕
You can't help assholes to be themselves
This is very helpful. May i ask for the Size of stud replacement you used? Do u have the exact dimensions of the stud?
Yeah mate, it's M12 1.5 40mm long
Love your work T!
Thank you for taking the time to make this video. Great info.
have you figure it out? Because I'm 90% sure there's no other way without removing brake booster
I replaced the brake pedal in the end
Thank you op will be doing my orthia tomorrow same set up as ek
Hey bro I got a question did u use the auto ecu and auto harness? Cause you have check engine light?
I used the auto ecu and harness, the engine light was because the air intake wasn't installed, and the air flow sensor caused the error.
Yo bro saw you're from Melbourne? Was wondering how much you would charge to help swap my ek to manual! Love your videos btw. Good stuff
Thanks bro, I appreciate you reaching out but I'm not a pro and there will be liability issues if I start taking on jobs.
@@forcarssake that's fair enough, I'm doing a manual swap either way. Just was curious if it was possible to get a hand from someone who's done it before and even pay for the extra hand. Thanks anyway though Keep up the content!
