My mother had endometriosis and she and my dad struggled with infertility for 5 years. No treatment plan ( including ivf) worked for them but they somehow miraculously had my me and my sister

Just had a laparoscopy 5 days ago and its a very slow recovery process. Walking already but still feel tired after walking for a bit.

I'm currently recovering from my second laparascopic surgery in six months. I have found I can't tolerate hot drinks, warm is fine, but hot drinks HURT. Because you've got so much inflammation already, adding super hot tea was NOT good. I love my really hot drinks, but the pain made them decidedly unsatisfying 😢 Keep up fluids, eat fruit. Take all the painkillers to a schedule. DON'T wait for the pain to hit before a dose, because they take time to work. Set reminders or alarms on your phone and stick to it. Paracetamol, ibuprofen, and opioids if you're given them. There are NO medals handed out for putting up with pain unnecessarily! Pain relief is one of the great medical marvels, take advantage! Oh, and throat lozenges. Not only do you feel dry, but the intubation can cause irritation, so you'll probably have a REALLY sore throat.

Do they tell you the sex of the baby when they implant the embryo?

Another thing with regards to the constipation (which was the worst experience ever after surgery) There are 2 types of medications that are great to take, one softens and the other helps contract the bowels. The hospital gave me Senna tablets and Docusate sodium.

I am meeting the GP next week and going to try and get them to test me for this and other things. I pray I will be able to be strong enough to plead my case, and not let them keep sweeping me under the bush

Please let us know what happens if you find a good doctor!! I have these issues as well and have tried a laprascopic surgery felt the pain worse two months later now it’s been years!

Myself and my partner have just been through a similar experience...we lost our first baby at 23 weeks. We were given bad news since our 12 week scan from statistics and test results. I would say I only had around 3 weeks of my pregnancy which was enjoyable, but test after test, looking back was a major warning sign. We unfortunately lost our little boy and have his funeral service tomorrow. To lose any baby is something you cannot comprehend, I am just extra sad that this was my first experience with pregnancy. x

I haven't been diagnosed with endo, although I suspect I may have it, but I was diagnosed with pcos (finally). The first physician I went to listened to the alarming and abnormal things my body was doing, than shrugged and told 16 year old me "women's bodies are complicated." That was it😂 if I'd gone on with the symptoms I was having I think I would've been at high risk for endometrial cancer later in life. The philosophy that the female body is just some sort of unknowable mystery has caused so much suffering and I'm not going to shut up until we stop being dismissed.

Any people watching this that suffer with endo like symptoms or just period type cramps. Get your self a wheat sack. I have a nice long one that I can wrap around my belly and back they get the spot better than hot water bottles as they are more flexible ️

My college professor told me I needed to file for disabilities if I wanted to continue going to my doctors appointments for Endo without being penalized. Is that a valid thing to do?

I do waitressing and literally i cant do any more hours than 4 im constantly lifting my job is so hands on its so painful...my manager is a knob doesn't give two shits..i nearly died from etopic and they weren't arsed then upsets me so much

I've been looking for answers along with my doctors. I am waiting on an ultrasound Feb 5th. Pelvic pain, groin pain in lower left abdominal area, heavy periods, changes in bowel movements and always feeling extremely bloated. I'm tired and have aches and pains in areas I never have. I appreciate everyone sharing their health journey online.

I had my 4cm cyst(didnt become bigger) from 2005 and i got pregnant in 2013..but now the cyst became 5cm and appeared another one 8cm and i ll have laparoscopy in 2 weeks for uterus removal and cysts as i couldnt stand with the pain bf and aft period(worsen)

I a now one week out from my surgery and I am just now beginning❤ to feel human again. No major pain, drinking like a champ. Only issue is: my mobility is naturally impaired, so I need assistance to get rid of all that fluid. My guy walks me into the bathroom and helps me settle back in bed. I started feeling depressed, but I’m working on making life changes to enjoy the rest of my time. (I’m 69). I have 3 children and 4 grandchildren, so I’m done with my ovaries. And no feeling older for the first time in my life. The future is plenty of time to change!

I’m scared that I might have endometriosis and the fact of maybe having surgery to see if I get diagnosed with endometriosis, is just frightening to me as like I’ve never had proper surgery before 😢😢😢 what do I do to help with my anxieties 😢😢😢
