Greetings from Dubai, I want to sincerely thank you for this class. My 9 year old son is home schooled in an American syllabus and was having a tough time trying to finish his class assignment on this topic. I checked a lot of videos but non gave us the information we needed. After watching your video it helped him to get a full understanding and he got a 20/20 on his assignment yesterday, Thanks again and keep up the good work.

Explain why there's not 12 hours of daylight and 12 hours of night every day of the year for the majority of the worlds population, considering the globe is half illuminated at all times and spinning at the same rate of speed year round?

Thank you lol, this helped with my 5th grade science project, it was supposed to start 2 weeks ago but i was too lazy, but this really helped me. I hope i get a 100%.

    wth is a axis?

POV: Your a fourth grader who for some reason gets harder work then the high schoolers in your area for science, your teacher gave you this activity to do on your own but you don't have an inflatable globe, so she gave you this video to watch then answer questions. (that's a long ass POV ;-;)

I see you are changing the axis I don't understand how that happens in real life

Nice explanation thanks for your efforts. Take note that starting at 3:45 you point to the bracket holding the imaginary axis (metal rod) and call the backet the axis, this is done several times. A child might began to think the axis is this flange device that cups the globe.

I wonder if teachers ever do ask themselves questions, or just swallow it up and pass it on?! there is this experiment teaching young kids how the sun shines on a face of the Earth, and on the other face it is dark (night). and they take a globe (sphere), and a flash light, to demonstrate this. at the same time, they say the sun is bigger than Earth like billions times bigger. BUT, in the experiment, they us a flashlight (and a SMALL ONE!). of course there would be darkness on the other side. but let's try with a flashlight bigger than the sphere, at least 3 times bigger. wanna know what happens? the light is so powerful, that there is no night on the other half! what about saying the light of the moon comes from the sun?! really? you never traveled the Earth? Have you never seen sun and moon at the same time on the sky? in the Northern regions? like, the sun shining brightly on the right side, surrounded by daylight, and the moon, at the left, surrounded by darkness already (yes, just turning the head left, and right!). this proves that certainly the light of the moon does not come from the sun! and that the sun is not THAT BIG, and not THAT FAR! in fact, it might be closer and smaller than we think. let's remember that in the northern part of the Earth, there is light half a year! continuously! what if the sun would be smaller, and circulate above the face of the Earth. it's light would be smaller, and along with it's movement, it's light would go out when getting away from one point towards another. this would mean the sun would revolve above the earth. and the earth would be round, but not a sphere, a CIRCLE. the great expeditions proved physically that the Earth is round, because they left from point A and could return to point A. in a circle map of the Earth the continents would be seen a little bit different (like in the symbol map of the ONU). so, the sun must be smaller than the Earth, and "walks" the face of the Earth in a pattern, according to zones with light and zones with night. it would an easy experiment to prove. I do not believe the man got to the moon. it's been a long while, while he's "been" there (in the tV scenes), and with such technological progress, we should have been colonizing moon since the 60's! and what about the belt of the Earth, the Van Alley, which cannot be passed???? it is such a rotten theory, you should start thinking for your own questions and answers. ruclips.net/video/R52_PdZlSq8/видео.html take a loon at this link, it is a model, demonstrating seasons on a round Earth (not a sphere!, but circle shaped). it explains the seasons, it explains why in Antarctica half a year is day, and half a year night! it expllains that te size of the sun is much smaller than we think. yes! the Earth is round! but not a sphere. and no man ever landed on the moon. now make your own experiment, with flashlight smaller, and circle shaped earth.

Winter. The tilt has a fatal flaw, because take the winter solstice for example, you are rotating out of darkness and you are ASCENDING into light, just think about that for a moment, at 12 noon you will be at the highest point and the sun will appear to be at the horizon just like at sunset!

Just look at the tilted equator! Does that make sense to you? Did you know that in the past, not too long ago, summer was when the fake globe was closest to the sun, today the opposite is in vogue, and back then there was no tilt. flatearthtextbook.blogspot.com/2016/11/seasons.html
