Please give mi a response I have a acer chrome book spin 311 I tried what u did in the video but it’s still not working the light that was on the side won’t com on but when it plugs in it gets warm but still won’t turn one the battery is really slack the some screws are missing for the battery

Appreciate the info, I opened my computer up and noticed the wire harness was not on straight and securely, I was able to fix it

Dude! Thank you. My friend's HP Chromebook was dead. No lights, no response to reset buttons. I simply followed your suggestion to unplug the battery for a few seconds. Plugged it back in and it fired up. Thank you

Aces Josh. Only thing I can add is make sure not to strip any of these screws. Better to lose a few screws than try to remove a stripped or screw that wont remove. Acer should have included a hardware reset switch.

Thanks Tim, I fixed mine about a hour ago, after watching your video. Fortunately there was no broken parts, so I didn't have to order anything, just a bit of tape and a cut off a sticky pad to hold it in place.

Thats not the power button. Press Refresh and the power button (side of the computer) at the same time it'll come on. I have an issue with the charging porrt where the charger itself has to be at a certain angle or it wouldnt charge. itll say its charging but it will say a number and then the percent. Doesnt give a time until full hwere i know its charging... I have no clue what to do and i think its something inside the computer

Yes, this worked for my Acer 315 ... 4 times in less than 2 years. I shouldn't have cheaped out and stuck with HP. So, does anyone know what the main issue is? Battery? Some other component that costs more than the LP itself maybe? Live and learn I guess.

THERE’S a fix that’s much easier...try this first. Press the Right Arrow Key and the Power button SIMULTANEOUSLY for a full 10 seconds. Then press the Power key. My Chromebook responded to this Fix, and saved me a bunch of time. Good luck.

What if I haven’t used my chromebook for a long time and now it wont turn on? I’m plugging it in right now, but the LED doesn’t turn on, it blinked for a second when I plugged it in but then it turn off and nothing happen since. I’ve unplugged the battery twice. Still can’t turn on the chromebook, I’ve plugged in the charger for about 30mins. Anyone? Help please
