Awesome video man wish there were more people like this in the world people wouldn't fear to reach for success God bless you
I’m waiting on background check with H&P I’m so nerves and scared cause I’ve been driving trucks for 10 years. Also I have a felony and I waiting on the background check. Thanks for the video
They are strict with background checks as long as they have been 7 years prior.
How's your apprenticeship going?
This video helped me out alot! thanks for all the information. Applying right now
Must be nice. I'm trying right now to get in as a floor hand with any oil rig here in west Texas. I can't get a call back from anyone. Anyone know of anyone who will give me a shot?
I’m 52 soon to be 53 in a few months. Do you suggest at my age I should be a floorhand? Or is there an age limit?
Didn't talk about the main thing most people wanna hear. THE PAY.
I'm trying to be one just applied
Very informative video my man, appreciate it!
After a month you left ?
I'm applying, having to work 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off making 100k a year and traveling the world to build my travel photography personal brand on my weeks off sounds sweet, it will allow me to also eventually buy my first home. The fact I can work less hours then my current Job with triple the money, in my eyes it's very much worth it!
Thank you for this video. In short, my wife and I of 24 years recently separated and I lost everything as a result. Career included. I need to find an entry level job where overtime is basically uncapped and earning potential is high. I have heard working in an oil field can be this. Is this accurate? If so, how would I go about finding such jobs? Would companies hire a 48 year old with zero experience in the industry? Thanks so much for your help!
I'm in your boat as well brother. How have your searches gone and did you get a job in the fields? Thanks
This is such great advice! And all so true always be picking up the hammer or broom if your hands are empty pick up a hammer wrench or broom and start using it to do something be useful, be helpful, learn and absorb like a sponge, be cleaning, be learning, be hardworking, stay hydrated and fed and have all the gear you need to stay comfortable. Don’t ever let a guy with seniority over you grab the hammer before you show fucking initiative. If you’re lazy these guys will sniff it out of you and run you into the ground until you quit. If that happens you have either the choice to quit or rise to the occasion and out work them.

Thank you so much for this video, very informative.
Good for you little man…..one month and you are trying to tell people what to do lol
You need to stop talking about shit You don’t know anything about…….shut up!!!!!!!!!
You are kinda setting people up for failure…..a floorhand is a roughneck and they will be making connections and have a lot of responsibility. You are talking about being a leasehand. It’s a totally different job buddy
I think that you’re talking about being a lease hand
I have an interview today for a floor hand. I’ve been in oil and gas for almost 2 years now for frac sand but the floor hand is more money
I worked 15 years on the rigs all the way up to driller. I still show this video to people who ask me about starting on the rigs. You won me over instantly when you talked about not being lazy, lol it really is a huge thing. not only cause you’re being lazy, but because you’re earning your crews respect and thats what really matters. If your crew doesnt like you then your days are numbered
Ducking amazing video man
I wuz wiccha till u said 1 mo
I can't tell you how much I wish I had done this in my 20's. I'm 41 now, too old. Young men, there is plenty of time for dreams in your mid to late 30's. Get that paper before you get old.
My bf starting at 34
Lets get an update my man!
Long story short, in my experience. Workin floors a clean floor is a good floor. Collar clamps and wedding bands stay in the same area out the way with easy access. Keep your mud bucket and catch can close by during trips. Never be scared to learn. Follow the motor man when shit goes wrong. Go to the mud house and learn how to get a mud check. Best advice I can give is ask questions if you don’t know. No matter how stupid you think it could be. If it don’t look right it might not be right. And don’t EVER stand there and watch somebody work. Jump in and get hands on. Show them guys you wanna get in there and learn. Always have a good attitude and you’ll be good. It’s good money and them days off are glorious. Been doin it 2 years now just got moved to derricks. Gotta love getting high. Fftp. Be safe men
Trying to stab a joint when the metal floor was slippery was the most difficult part for me. Otherwise it was long hard work for good pay.
