Something that needs to be said. ALF and its cross town rival Ward LaFrance both started in Elmira, NY. For over 95% of its long history trucks were produced in Elmira and only there. Elmira was known as the fire engine capital of America at one time. I know this because I'm from Elmira, my dad was a delivery engineer for WLF but spent time at ALF when Ward was on strike (sole breadwinner). So with all due respect to SC and all these dedicated workers, any museum rightly belongs in Elmira NY and only that would complete the journey home.

Awesome beautiful trucks. I've been a firefighter for 38 years paid and volunteer and I still love the old engines. Thank you so much for the great video.

I don't know what happened but in the 70s and early 80s they were #1 fire truck builder in the world how did they go down so fast actually the company I belong to order one but we had to cancel the order and got a Pierce

It's surprising how they have a Patriot Demo Unit.

Those are really awesome looking rigs. The old fire engines looked a hole lot better than what they make now. Today's fire engines have no style and no charm to them.

Modern fire trucks are ugly and charavter-less. I love ALF fire engines of the past. This was quite a trip.

what a shame no one tried to save ALF company !!!!!!!!! how is that possible ?? that is a great machine , a great company and US heritage .... i dont know !! a large Mnfg company as ford, or microsoft or GOOGLE or whatever ........ what a lame situation this one .. I am sure it could be done ! with profit !! all over the world firefighters loves ALF equipment ! 150 years on business and a fucking great brand ......!!!!!! what a shame !!!!!!
