This is a corner of a box I'm making, it's made of teak with quite difficult grain, my No 4 had some tear out when cleaning the surface. This scraper however did the fantastic job!

A draw front is primarily a showpiece, so I wanted to display some interesting joints. The main joint is inspired by Kanawa tsugi (wedged scarf joint). I modified the original joint design so it can join two boards end to end. The new design essentially consists of two Kanawa tsugi joints stacked back to back.
