Finally, a bad ass truck, just needs to be an R! lol, actually ive done all the same to my R, getting chase rack installed this coming week, ill post a vid
What is the Rim Size and Off-Set Please? Tire Size? Where is Thor Off Road located? Thank You very much for the great Video. Looking forward to making my 2024 F250 Tremor look like your build.
These are 18x9 Method with a +18 27 1250 R18 Toyo RT We are located just outside of Austin Texas. In Dripping Springs. Let us know if we can help spec it out for you. We keep full Carli kits in Stock as well as wheel and tire combos. Jamey
You did nothing but install a lift kit with a but of wiring. Carli designed a plug and play kit. So relax on the pride.
I’m not the type of person that complains in any video, but man, it wasn’t until 2:45mins into the video when the cameraman finally shows the whole truck?!? Show less of the narrator and more of the truck. Really nice truck otherwise.
Couldn't agree more
Looks like a Texas tire install 🫣 🤡
New kits, just more justification to add to the tool chest. I'll purchase tools that I can reuse and do the work. Multiple Floor jacks, several jack stands, c-clamps, etc... now add the larger impact socket sets, wrenches, etc. No more satisfaction than doing your own work, plus your know your Truck that much better with each project. Put on 2.5 ReadyLift Ft Spring set, not quite as advertised, next remove and replacing with a Cali Pintop set... all good!
Good on yall for making these videos 👍 when I installed mine, I had a couple of issues, but you don't just force it together, research saves lives sometimes.
They are a good suspension system for sure, but to say they are the best? Idk. I feel like PMF outshines them with more options. Including full coil bucket replacement 🤷🏾♂️
Lots of flavors of ice cream out there, LOL. PMF does a great job. But in our opinion for a bolt in kit requiring minimal amount of adjustments, well thought out geometry and high fit and finish. Carli products are seriously hard to beat. Not saying there are not other brands out ther doing a great job. We sell a lot of brands and see the difference. Thanks for keeping it real though lots of options out there for different builds and different purpose!! Thanks Jamey
I’m so glad I brought my Power Wagon to you guys a couple years back. I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out and still enjoy wheeling the hell out of it! Thanks!
I emailed Thor after some questions related to my Carli install and got a call back the next day offering to help. They told me to send some pictures in and would try to assess, turns out a second attempt at road balance the wheels/tires and proper inflation seemed to solve the issues I had. Really appreciate Thor willing to help even though they didn’t do any of the work
I brought my 2021 RAM 2500 to THOR Offroad and got the Carli back country kit. Thousands of miles and zero issues.
Appreciate that Brother!!!! We are not perfect, but this one was bad
That’s awesome, thank you
That's exactly what I'm thinking of building. White F350 platty tremor on eventure.
I'm your Huckleberry!!
Don’t take this the wrong way, but when you say you did this without affecting towing and payload. Anytime you add weight, like 37 inch tires you adversely affect payload and towing. Otherwise, the truck looks amazing.
You are not wrong and yes that does change to towing. We were more importantly referring to the fact that the rear springs were still factory and not changing them to "lighter" spring directly affecting the payload. This was an early video. And not as informative as new ones. Thanks for letting me know though. You are correct that 37"s will adversely affect towing due to a heavier and larger tire. The payload change is a so incremental that I don't know if those hairs are worth splitting. Truck does look good with less lift and 37s though agree!! Thanks for subscribing. Any other things mentioned wrong let me know, cause I will make sure it is noted and cleared up
Great video and very good explanation of features for those of us that don’t understand all the little differences between lift kit options.

I concur, I'm out here in the desert struggling with the whole show.. not that Winnemucca has a qualified shop that i know of.. great advice
Yikes!
am i the only one that trusts their Ram dealer to install this? i am about to pull the trigger on the 3.32 back country on my ram 2500 and going to trust the dealership to install.
You may be!! If you can get a dealership to drill holes in the frame and torque bolts over 400 ft lbs, ny hat is off to you!!! lol. I have not had that much luck with a dealership on this type of install
What color powder coat for the caribou brown?
Best way to determine the color is to look on the VIN tag inside the driver door and determine the paint code. I use prismatic powders to determine the powder color to match. Stone Grey in this case is the color. Common color with fords but be careful they can change from year to year and there are a few variants. Paint matching with powdercoat is not the easiest but a competant coater will have this color.
I mean does anybody actually ever read the instructions? I do a lot of work myself, to me it’s always the alignment shop i have problem’s with either incompetence or sheer laziness! Any idiot can put it on a rack but few can set it up right and understand all the adjustments for correct geometry
On a '23 F250, can i run a 35" tire with the backcountry system? Id like to go to a +12 offset wheel.
On a 23 F250 you don't even need to lift the truck to run a 35" tire. but to anser the question, Yes yyou can. Just know 35" is only 1" bigger than the factory tire. So it is not a lot of change. We typically run 37" tires on leveled trucks. Unless you are towing a lot or have a clearance issue in your garage, we would recomend 37. But yes you can do it and happy to help with any parts or installation you need Jamey
Don't all the reservoir shocks need to be mounted shaft up to give optimal clearance
Not all. But most piggy back shocks. Yes.
Dude, I am very impressed with you owning up your shop and doing what is right and take care of your customers. I will be taking my 2015 GX460 to your shop 11/30. Super excited to see what we are going to be able accomplish with my project.
That’s on my list!
Awesome, I plan on bringing my 4runner in for an overlanding build soon. cant wait
Lookinf Forward brother!!!!
Where is yalls shop located? An do yall have carli stuff in stock?
Just outside of austin Texas in Dripping Springs. Yes we are astocking dealer and keep Carli kits and parts in stock. Give us a shout brother
Agree 100%!! 80% of adults are just obese bald 12 yr olds that do shiiii work in every single professiom. So HOW do we find a GOOD installer for this stuff? References are only as good as the very last install cuz they churn thru employees and beer fast as we change our boxers.
Yippee ki yay the music won’t play
Desert Rat in phoenix did some similar work on my 13 F250. I have since replace EVERYTHING.
Hate to hear that!!!
@@thoroffroadtx I found that you have to know somebody in the business. Shops always say they are 1-1/2 years out for any real fab work. So... welding Is my new next thing..
Carli is the best It’s pricey but it’s the best.
Buy Once, Cry Once!!! hahaha Thanks for commenting in
Moral of the story is don’t buy a 5-6k suspension to skimp out on the install and mess it all up.
Well Said!!!
Your Cousin’s, brother’s uncle aka… your dad?😂😂
It just came out like that. 🤣🤣
Can you please tell me the proper orientation for the rear Fox shocks in the 2.5 leveling kit on a 2019 Ram 3500 SRW 4x4? Thank you. Im learning a lot from you!
Greg great question. on the 3500 the bodies should be up and shaft down. Hope that helps
Do the tires rub on the CBI sliders? Apparently they used to have an issue with rubbing but that may have been fixed with a small redesign.
we did not have any rubbing isues at all with this particular build. We have done numerous Lexus steps and I don't recall any of them having an issue.
@thoroffroadtx too bad your team can't seem to answer basic questions like this
@@ej2863 they already answered very shortly after I asked the question. They replied 10 months ago.
@WBrown999 yeah they didn't answer my questions by email
Is it okay if you are going to do it yourself, BUT you’re gonna do the correct research and build it correctly?
Sure. There are a lot of capable guys out there putting parts on themselves. We do it all the time so proficiency is a big factor in a good install. In other words you do something enough times you get pretty good at it. So yes a guy could do it himself. Will he be as thorough as a shop that does these on the daily, no. Will he have all the right tools to meet torque spec, prob not. But you could get a lot in and then rely on a shop to get the torque yields met, check shock pressure, adjust steering stabilizers, alignment, etc. But at that point you are splitting hairs on the cost. It just makes more sense to have a shop do it turn key. If $1000-1500 is too much for someone to pay for a better install, on a $4k-10k suspension package on a $90k truck, it just doesn't make sense to me, long term.
Jeesh. No reputable shops locally, all our local shops hire family members that don't have any experience, that just need a paycheck. It's better to do it yourself where I'm at.
That kind of sucks. Where are you at? We have guys driving from Montana to come here. Alabama, mississippi, Florida. May consider a drive before you that. But if you tackle it yourself, be deligent. We believe in you!!! HAha
@@thoroffroadtx thanks man. I trust myself. 😁
Awesome build. Thanks for sharing this with us. I was just curious. I am thinking of getting a third-party bumper to install on my GX. But I heard that by installing a bumper we may affect the airbag sensor. Did you happen to run into that and was that of any any concern to you at all? Thanks!
Are you referring to the SRS airbags or the rear air bags for the rear suspension?
@@thoroffroadtx hi I’m referring to the crash airbag safety sensors. I’m not too familiar with what electrical’s are right behind the front bumper but I read that we need to be cautious of installing a aftermarket front bumper because it may affect the crash safety airbag sensor. So I was curious if that’s true and if you run into any snacks when dealing with it.
It does not affect those as far as we know. Other than a much heavier duty structure ahead of them.

Any recommendations out in Midland? Thinking of using West Texas Truck Accessories..they’ve done some solid work for me before.
Hey brother thanks for reaching out. I do not know those guys but I am going to reach out to them just to introduce myself. I do know the guys at RPM. Not sure how close they are. I will reach out to the West Texas guys and chat though.
@@thoroffroadtx any word brother? My commuter kit and radius arms arrive Monday at West Texas Truck Accessories. Local feedback has been good.
@@christiandavis3910 Hey brother talked to them and they are pretty awesome folks. I think you are in good hands!!! need any product besides what you have let me know Jamey
I have that same jacket, I talk alot shit in it.
That's pretty funny!!!!hahha
What is the suspension tire and wheel set up on this truck? I like this. Looking to get this similar on my 2024 HD i just ordered.
4" Cognito with Fox IFP shocks, these are an 18" Method 18x9 with +18 offset 37 1250 Its one of the best setups in my opinion on the GM Trucks. Especially paired with their pitman support and Upper arms!! Rides and drives better than stock on 37s.
Do you do GMC’s and what suspension would you use for a HD2500 GMC? I am buying the new 2024 and want to change the suspension.
I run 37 12.50 17’s on a 2” with no rubbing other than making brackets to hold my fender liner back on my 06 F350
Shocks are holding the axle? I guess that track bar is just for show then? 🤣🤣 If the weight of that axle was actually being held up by a pair of Kings, I wouldn’t think a reputable shop would keep it in the air until it was fixed. Unless the weight is being held by the track bar…and those limiting straps are meant to limit axle articulation. But hey, any lie for views and content I guess.
So by saying that, I remove the track bar and then what? What’s holding the axle? If the limit straps weren’t there and the truck was let’s just say jumped, what would happen. The shocks would be holding the axle. And if they were extended hard enough could pull the shock to failure. So cute laughy faces. Garage guy tv, huh. Well we can all be wrong a little. But calling me a liar……grow up bro. I don’t have that many views to boast anyway and my points are all legit. But go ahead and split hairs on my comments all you want. Put your laughy faces and know that although the track bar is providing support. The shocks are what will be the end of the rope without properly installed limit straps. This guy got a poor install, we simply pointed out the items and expressed using a legit shop.
Or you could just call Carli and ask who’s certified to do this work in there network of shops they work with that’s what I did
How do y’all like those BDS Radius Arms?
Find a shop that doesn’t pay their guys flat rate. Those flat rate techs are more likely to cut corners and rush the job to get it done faster. At my shop there is probably 1 accessory guy out of the 4 that’ll do the job right.
I'm saving my pennies and will get a Carli system from you guys for my RAM 2500
I have a pinto system install on my 2016 ram truck a few weeks ago, and my truck rides like s^^%% i can't even go faster then 75mph, the whole truck shakes like crazy, this was install by a professional shop here in north Carolina, but after seen this video I'm gonna check all things my self, man I'm so fu&^ P(*&^&
Bro don't fret. everything is fixable. High speed vibration could be simple tire issue. Take it back give them a chance to resolve let me know if you need a reference Jamey
Besides the castor shims the rest you are really nitpicking I feel.
You are absolutley right I am! Somone spends their hard earned money we like to know its right.
Yea spending $2k-$10k suspension, you bet your ass I want it installed properly.
