@@charleshicks299 It was his first career start and he helped beat a quality opponent. There’s obviously still a ton of room for improvement but he avoided turnovers and made good decisions for the most part. We’ll see if they can get any rhythm in the passing game as the season progresses.

@@hengchen6688 Yeah I don’t think USC is a great team but it’s still a solid win and Michigan can build on it moving forward. I think a lot of the teams in the 10-20 range are good but not great and both Michigan and USC fall into that category.

@@hengchen6688 I think Texas, Georgia and Ohio State are in a tier of their own right now with Alabama, Tennessee, Miami and Ole Miss not too far behind. Beyond that it gets kind of murky.

@@beedevil11 Definitely not living up to expectations so far this season but is still a quality running back! He was a big part of the offense and helped Michigan win some of the biggest games throughout his career.

@chas_post23 he averaged 4.2 ypg behind a dominant O line in 23. He wasn't in the top 15 in the B10 ypc. He might be a 6th round pick. He is a serviceable back up.

@@Allen-hg2hu What about the second half of last season? I think it has more to do with losing 18 starters, a first round quarterback, best running back in school history and head coach.

@@gregjacksun Definitely a drop off from recent years but it’s not a huge surprise with so much staff and roster turnover.

The utilization of Orji is predictable and not creative enough, is he that much of a liability to throw the ball on a few package plays?

@@rcebowl2323 You’re exactly right about that! The staff clearly doesn’t trust him to throw on a consistent basis but Sherrone did say they have packages for him to throw that will be utilized.

@@chas_post23 they need to use him on rollouts and option plays that let him either throw down the field, a short check down, or run if there’s green grass ahead - like the red zone pass he threw a TD on against Fresno.

Oregon struggled to beat Idaho, is it gonna be a long year for them? It was the first game of the season with a new coach and QB. They will be fine. Not saying undefeated again but they will make the playoff.

Not to mention Fresno is a solid team.

@@chas_post23 only thing id like to see is wink dial the blitzes back a bit. I'm a giants fan too he drove me nuts with that. People can ignore the offense or say it's just one game. But we all got spoiled by the last 3 years and I think we can notice it's a.major problem, first game or not

@@SR-hf3hx Yeah I think you’re right. I like the aggressive defense but it’s not always necessary to blitz. The offense is going to have to show a lot more to win next week.
