Timing..... during an economic expansion people have more disposable income .. afford to dine out ,.....during a contraction people reduce their expenditures,...dining out less often.....timing , location , product and service , local competition , sufficient capital/ resources , business savvy .... return customers , word of mouth growth , first impressions very important.

Interviews with local business owners is only really attractive to a certain demographic: business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs. You’ll have some viewers who just click on your videos and watch them to pass time but the majority of people watching will be people with some interest in small businesses. On top of that your content is long form and requires the viewer to click on the thumbnail to watch the video. Whereas Charlie’s content exists in a space where people just infinitely scroll from one short video to the next allowing her to reach a wider demographic. What you’ll likely find the most success with will be deceptive titles and thumbnails, maybe not even deceptive as much as overly dramatized. If you really want to optimize your videos success in the algorithm you should look into the science behind Mr beast type thumbnails. As silly as it sounds to calm that a science there is actually quite a bit of thought put into the methodology used to create unique and eye grabbing thumbnails.
