I just finished Halloween Party by Agatha Christie and I thought it was good. It was my second book by her. And then there were none was good too

📚I read House of Hunger a few months ago and I really enjoyed it too! My favorite book so far of this year is "How High We Go in the Dark" - read it in Feb and I'm still here thinking about it. It was so devastatingly beautiful and I don't think I can ever get over it. A close second is "Nettle & Bone", really loving T. Kingfisher's cozy fantasy vibes.

OMG KEN LIU!!!! He's my absolute author of all time and I love all of his works!!! The Grace of King was so so so good, it got me continuing the whole of the Dandelion Dynasty even though I'm not a fan of military/political fantasy. His writing was just so beautiful that I didn't want to stop reading. I finished the series last year but I'm still thinking about the characters ;A; (However, it's not a series I will recommend to fantasy readers because the books are more about the socio-politics of people-groups building themselves into a nation and the actual governance of this nation. There are gods in the world but they do not do much in the narrative. The Grace of King is a great book to gauge how you'll enjoy the rest of the series, and can actually be read as standalone as I feel it ended in a satisfying way. Once you start the second book, "The Wall of Storms", you can't really stop because it ends on a cliff-hanger.) 💜 feel so happy for you whenever you have a reading vlog that consists of 5-stars books!

I liked An Elderly Lady is Up to No Good, but I liked the cover better than the actual stories. I'm still not mad I read it though. Oh, I want to read The Reformatory so badly!!! I have book club tomorrow so am finishing up a book I'm loving, Sing Her Name, but it's not spooky season. Hoping to get to spooky books tomorrow or Monday :) Do you know how many unread books you own? Mine is 507 :o Oh, would love your pasta salad recipe :) That sounds like a nice lunch. I am currently reading The Thursday Murder Club, and I am hooked. I just need to stop binge watching RUclips for Detective Fiction novels. I am more of a fan of British Scotland Yard or DI/DCI novels. Martha Grimes, Deborah Crombie, Elisabeth George, Charles Todd… i just realized those are all American authors. 😂 I also like Ian Rankin, Reginald Hill, P.D. James, among many others.

Loved this video. Lots of great recs. Really been getting into historical fantasy lately and I feel like recs for the genre are a bit harder to find.

⚕ this is such a cute themed video! I read a chapter of "Frankenstein in Baghdad" for a seminar that delves into the supernatural in the Islamic world and I thought it was kinda interesting. But I never really got around to reading the entire book lmao... The Dark Descent of Elizabeth Frankenstein sounds so good! I might pick it up soon.

I feel like Murderbot is underrated as a Found-Family series. I absolutely love the crew from the first book, who were already close and grew closer, and how they enfolded Murderbot into their group without hesitation. I'm always so happy to see them show up throughout the series. Also, your cat's greeting (demand?) was just adorable!
