Facts you didn't know about Stanley Kubrick's A Clockwork Orange
Music by CreatorMix.com
Did you know that for A Clockwork Orange, the film rights for the novel by Anthony Burgess were sold for only five hundred dollars, and the original plans for the movie were that The Rolling Stones would star, with Mick Jagger playing Alex. Stanley Kubrick wasn’t set to be involved at all until after the plans for that production fell through. Kubrick’s version of the film was based upon the American version of the book, which excluded a final chapter where Alex was cured and decided to give up a life of violence. Kubrick preferred the darker ending. Kubrick also changed the level of violence in the movie, since there were such depraved acts of violence in the book ...

Did you notice that in Oppenheimer, this lamp changes from one day to the next. Although they had incredible attention to detail for that reference, it was not so much in this scene, where they used fifty star American flags for a movie...

Did you know that in Superman, near the beginning of the movie, we see a burning red Krypton sun. In order to achieve this effect, they filled a bucket with gasoline, lit it on fire, and then shot it on camera shooting straight down to create the effect of a fireball. Did you know that in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, when the children enter the chocolate room and candy gardens for the first time in the movie, their reactions are real, because the actors had never actually seen the room before. Did you know that in Gone Girl, Nicholas Dunne was supposed to wear a Yankees cap in this scene. But Ben Affleck is a die hard Red Sox fan in real life and refused, even delaying filming. Eventually Affleck and Director David Fincher reached a compromise where he would wear a Mets cap instead. Fincher wanted to subvert the trope of the likable protagonist, so he chose to cast Affleck in the rol...

Did you know that in Goodfellas, Robert De Niro didn’t like how fake money felt in his hand for the gambling scene where Jimmy Conway is introduced and insisted on using real money. So the prop master withdrew several thousand dollars of his own money. At the end of each take, no one was allowed to leave the set until all of the money was returned and counted. In the scene where Tommy’s mother ...

Did you notice that in The Batman, at just about thirty one minutes into the movie in this shot, in the corner of the screen, we can see The Riddler. Did you notice that in The Avengers, in the post-credits scene where they’re eating Shawarma, Captain America, played by Chris Evans, is seen just resting his head on his hand while not eating anything. This is because filming of this scene started too late and Evans had grown a beard for his next part in the movie Snowpiercer. In one of the time travel scenes in Avengers Endgame, Thor mentions...

The transponder hidden in the briefcase is cut into one dollar bills, because they didn’t want to waste o...

Did you notice that in Rocky III, when the high school band is playing, we can see that Mr. T autographed one of their drums. Did you notice that in There Will Be Blood, early in the movie, Daniel Plainview gives Paul Sunday five hundred dollars to learn the location of his family’s oil, but at the end of the movie, when belittling his twin brother Eli, he exaggerates this, telling him he paid him ten thousand dollars, just to kick Eli when he’s down. This would go head to head for Best Picture with No Country For Old...

I also ate raw fish when I was at the beach side in Den Haag. It's called herring.
Batman for Goths was awesome 🤘🏽😎
Danny Devito best actor ever.
Abuse
And thats why he thought he could re write hulk 🤣🤣
He promised to be his first mate … not to become an astronaut. Also, his prosthetic legs are made out of the same material as the space shuttle. Has nothing to do with being an astronaut
Infinite resources and peace. Snapped!
Well she wasnt in kansas anymore
Hawaii people eat raw fish all the time…
My life is real. I'm a real person I mean, with real😢 feeling. And I'm not feeling this anymore. At all. Seeing my fake gf is the only thing gonna stop me from harming somebody mom
I never noticed Zsaaz in the first movie. 🤯🤯🤯
This dude watched with commentary and just listed here as if he’s some expert 😂😂😂
Great movie
project stunt, double
Child abuse 😔
Is the CIA training thing why the Grinch keeps injuring himself in the film?
Just leaving a comment to say fuck you RUclips for deleting my comments when they're actually positive. Lol
The book was so gruesome I will never read it again. If they put half of what happened in the book into the film it would have been xrated.
Those were my thoughts too when I read it about 25 years ago. Makes me curious how extreme they’re going to make the new adaptation in light of modern horror.
He was never cured truly… because he didn’t do it himself, it was forced upon him.
Little known fact.. That's how they got Shirley Temple's cheeks so rosey red.
The movie was good
He thought he was good enough to fight a real boxer because he played pretend as one?? Lmao douchey Hollywood morons are rule
Movie was amazing!
😳😳😳 the ABUSE!
I never miss anything in movies
My fav movie of all time I hate how so many ppl have misunderstood it recently lol thank u for some of these good parts
Can't wait for the new one 😃
One of the things that many people don't realise is that the writer Bret Easton Ellis actually studied criminal psychopathy. The reason why so much of the things Bateman does is imagined is because psychopaths live in a type of fantasy world. They fantasise about hurting and controlling others almost constantly. Those fantasies tip into reality, but sometimes psychopaths get confused about what is real and what is imagined. To them it's essentially all the same.
Bullshit this was based off of a king story and the main character was basically the same as the story
I could def hear that song being in Rocky3 ; like whn Apollo was training Rocky to fight Clubber lang . The one scene where Rocky and Apollo training/racing on the beach . The song actually fit both movies; 80s vibez
Good book.
These AI shorts are so bad
The astronaut one is an easter egg
Stupid movie
Noticed 1st time … and wonder how they could survived just on one kind of crop… didn’t make sense
High school teacher threw on the dust bowl documentary and we were like wait what that’s in interstellar
Loved this movie, but I'm looking forward to Edgar Wright's version which will (hopefully) be released later this year. Hopefully it will be true to the original novella
Tony
"Hello, cutey pie. One of us is in big trouble." What a quintessential Arnold movie.
I also liked the 'I had the shirt but you f**cked it up' line 😂 Honestly one of my all time AS films.
Running man was awesome
How yall kno he became an astronaut tho?
Dumb take
The traveling matte tech they used to make it look like Captain Freedom killed Ben Richards in the movie is now here in the form of deepfake. Now everyone looks like Arnie.
What blew my mind, aside from Paul Michael Glaser (Starsky & Hutch TV show) directing the movie, was that Paula Abdul was credited for the choreography.
Things happened for a reason
He didn’t add new footage. He just put back the scenes Kaye had cut. Tony had it down to an 81 minute runtime lol. He was a nut.
How does the Collector keep them alive sitting in those cages?
Why are there movies made about slavery then why not hide those or are we saying that American History X celebrates being racist or dose it just show that there is racism in the world an we shouldn't hide it
He really thought he'd survive ernie shavers!?!?😂😂😂
Emo man vs. Kanye.
