This is NOT a yurt! This is a round house in the form of a yurt but totally violating the yurt idea. And I'm talking not only about the mobility of the house. These windows, full glass doors, wrong oven location, shit-load of furniture. Build yourself a normal rectangular cabin using the same concept - it least you will not have problems trying to place normal (rectangular) furniture.

Its great to learn you can plb. A yurt. But where are people allowed to legally live in a yurt? I live in canada. A yurt would be suoer affordable if can be 4 season. But of course govt probably wouldnt allow such cheap and comfy living.

OWN IT! I'm building yurt, but it's a hard sided yurt. What I like best about the Yurt is NOTHING STUPID about its architecture. It's simple, loads of space and looks good.

What breed of dog was that at the end? That thing is huge?! Having a couple big dogs also adds warmth to a house. We have 3 large dogs and they enough warmth to the bedroom I typically have to open a window.

For a yurt that big, do you need to have additional support posts for the roof?

I know this is an older video and it looks wondertul. I just have problems with home security.

In real yurts as I know, the tent part is made from keçe, compacted goat wool (or sheep). And carpets aren't for naught an important part of a nomadic culture. Floor is always covered with çul (goat wool fabric) carpets and keçe.

How long does the roof last and how much does it cost to replace? Same question for the exterior wall.

Don’t really like them machined Yurts they look really plucky and Bogus.

here in New Zealand is quite a damp climate. How would your yurts stand up to lots of constant moisture? (And to add to this, it is not very well recommended to build straw bale houses here because of the constant moisture).
