So nice! I rode a '69 T100R Daytona for 30 years before selling in 2011. This brings back a lot of memories, but I'm surprised that you have no mirrors and no Chrome trim down the center of the tank...was the welding seam removed before repaint?

I’m sure I read that Edward Turner thought that parallel twins shouldn’t go beyond 500cc. I think he thought they were the sweetest ones.

It's interesting that this popped up on my suggested to watch list and I just can't believe how much it takes me back to the early 80s when I had my 500 on Cape Cod Massachusetts. It was the perfect place for that four speed. Off-Cape on the highway travel would turn me numb all the way up to my knees and shoulders but I love them.

I had the same but the handlebars weren't the same not as wide also mine was a 1970 Daytona 500 but it was black also. This one was probably a 5-speed the one I had was a 4-speed however these creatures have a very similar nature and you and your tune right here on top of the world when you got the right roads in the right weather!

My first car was a 1964 Triumph Spitfire. I loved the car and totaled it twice. I wasn't considered the "at fault" driver either time but... After the second accident, I bought a 1960 PV544 Volvo. Quite a change.

Ride mine an hour to work and an hour home everyday adjust the valves every 2 weeks new spark plugs and wires very often oil change way sooner than recommended, trying to keep in as good of condition as possible I love my 81 sportster xlh

Dude, thanks for this video. You inspired me, but for the life of me I can’t reconnect the clutch cable on the new ASV lever. Did you do something so the cable isn’t always fighting you trying to pull out of your fingers? Any tips? Much appreciated

I had a 74 probably one of the last ones made, sweet as a nut, lot less vibes than the 6 and 750s my mates 400/4s RD400s no problems blew the 400 super dreams into the weeds

I had a 400 from '83. Beautiful thing. Still miss her. But I think the guy needs to work on his gear changing technique. Lack of coordination like that makes for a jerky ride.

Beautiful sound and lovely looking bike. I'm booking my CBT course for next month. I'm 38 now. Am I too old to start my motorcycle journey? Fingers crossed I pass, I will be looking at buying a Mutt Mastiff 125 to get me started. One day I would love to own a Triumph.

no modern bike sounds like an old one. Not even close

I miss my Mk2 Spitfire, it was red/black trim with white piping and wall to wall to wall fun. However with that swing axle rear suspension it might take spin out as an invitation. The one time I span mine no amount of opposite lock would change its mind. Eventually I steered the other way anddid a quick 360 at which point it started doing what it told again, no harm done.

My first bike was a '69 T100 C and watching the off road ride really took me back to the days when we didn't distiguish between "adventure" bikes and everyday road bikes. Basically it was an off road bike if you had the balls to go off road. They were surprisingly capable as you can see in the video and one hell of a lot of fun. Thanks for the video. Tim
