Sand the car with a sander and tinker and prime every area not just area where it's bare metal. Use red oxide and NC primer surface grey or polyurethane PS grey NEVER NEVER NEVER use polyurethane putty it has enormous shrinkage and causes more problems please use polyester putty and use paint PU with 50 percent volume of PU thinner ( reducer) in other words 2 litres of primer in one litre of thinner.Take your time work on it, use it as long as you can, sell it only if someone is willing to pay you for all the efforts you made. Don't sell it until you get paid. Iam not good in electronic restoration but I have resurrected iron body and dozens of engines. The vehicle looks beautiful in its body style, I just love its shape you can't get such a beauty.please preserve it. It's never a waste
