Fishing 80ft Deep Lake - Searching for BIG Pike
I luv that you’re learning as u go and I thought that shelter was impressive especially in 4 hours. The video was a continuous stream of interesting new things, the build, the bed,the tripod, the cooking absolutely everything! We r watching someone literally learning n evolving in quick time. Also glad ur girl is ok. Luv n respect💕✌️
I'm so glad you enjoyed it, Sus! I plan on making lots more shelter content in the future, it was so much fun. I definitely learned a lot and I still have a LOT to learn lol. Thanks for all your love and support 💜 You guys make it all worth while
Great video as always. An impressive bushcraft stick carrying device. Good job on the shelter too and raised bed - looks like tough work. Joe Robinet makes it look easy. I’m a big fan of the raised fire 🔥 easier to leave no trace 👍🏼. So glad that Emily got the all clear - and great message regarding awareness. I can relate entirely, been on the receiving end of it recently. Keep on camping and enjoying it buddy - really enjoyed the video 👍🏼😊
Thanks, Craig. Had a blast making this video. Yeah Joe and other make shelter building look so easy.. it's definitely more labour intensive then I expected 😂 Hope all is well with your health, bud. Nothing scarier than your body failing. We feel so blessed that Emily is ok. Not a fun ordeal. Yeah, I hate seeing big burn holes dotted around the place. Shows us Outdoorsy people in a bad light. Once I'm done with this shelter I'll tear it down and it will be as if I was never there. Just a pile of sticks.
I carry dryer lint in my fire starter kit. Helps kick it off quickly
That's a great idea 💡 I'm actually looking into making my own fire lighters soon. Just researching currently.
Luv’d it 👌
Thank you, Janet 😊 great to see you again
Hey there , thank you for a great adventure ❤. I do love your adventures, that was a great shelter you made and the bed did look a little comfy. I am so glad you here your wife is all good , it must have been a worry for you both. Thank you for bringing us this adventure, can't wait for the next one ❤😊
My pleasure, Vickie! Deffo going to be doing a lot more shelter stuff in future. I knew I would enjoy it but I actually enjoyed it even more than I had thought. Felt a real sense of achievement. Thanks for always turning up 💜
@@Chronically_Outdoors It's always great when you do and make things yourself it is a great sense of achievement. Your shelter and bed were great. I just love your adventures. Thank you for bringing them to us x
Just one piece of advice - swing that axe with a bit more vengeance. One cut to get through the smaller branches

You have it all. A handsome face, gentle and kind ❤. Very intelligent and most entertaining. Love the cooking part of the videos. Thank God, Emily is well. Thank you for sharing your journey. Many of us cannot, or are not given to this camping lifestyle, notwithstanding we are living vicariously through you. God Bless * 😊❤
@@FrankandJudah hello again 👋 you're far too kind, going to make my head swell up 😂 I loved filming this one, it scratched an itch I didn't know I had. Thanks for watching 💜
Awesome news from the doctors regarding Emily's health. I love this video, Guy. It's jam-packed full of great content and advice, also as always, very inspirational. What would have taken several days for me to complete, you achieved in just hours! Well done 👏. As always, I'm looking forward to watching your next adventure. All the very best. Take care. 👍👍
Thank you Steve, I really appreciate that. I was worried it was quite boring as I spent a lot of time filming the building and was feeling pretty stressed until I had the shelter up. Didnt feel very entertaining when I was editing it. I honestly couldn't believe how long it took to make such a rudimentary shelter and bed. It looks so quick and easy when you watch someone else do it on RUclips 😂 I can't wait to go back and improve it
I am pleased for you and emily the lump was innocent. You did well with the shelter, if you went for a few days your shelter would be tremendous. Your cooking looks good also, your bushman skills look strong. I guess you will be returning to develop the shelter since you left the tarp. Look forward to that episode.
Thank you, Ashley. We feel very blessed Emily is ok. Plenty of people get the opposite news.. I'm counting down the days until I can go back and keep building 😊
Hello buddy, recently bought one based on your review - brilliant bit of kit for the money. Keep up the good work. Really enjoying the videos 👍🏼
It will deffo take up a bit of space in a 45L sack but so worth it. Maybe strap it to the side of the bag. It's bullet proof for the money. Thanks mate 😊
@@Chronically_Outdoors Yes, I agree. I plan on using it for those camps needing more comfort a bit lower down. Less suited to lugging to the tops. All in all though, great bit of kit for the price. 👍🏼
Yeah, you're not wrong there. I lugged it (and 15 kilos of other gear) to the top of kinder scout via crowden Clough (G1 scramble) and nearly died of exhaustion. Safe to say I was glad to have the chair when I was finally up there though 😂
Im so happy for you and your mrs negative result for the lump .the shelter looked great to me ,great content and video. God bless you and your family and happy camping 🏕 😀 😊 😄 🙏. Lee
Thank you, Lee. It was a good first attempt. I've deffo got a lot to learn haha. Hope you and yours are well mate 🙏 😊 💜
That's a good idea
I love trout its been years since I've eaten it ❤
It's such a wonderful fish. I plan on going back and smoking a few fish this winter bushcraft style
@@Chronically_Outdoors nice, I made a bushcraft smoker a few years back out of hazel, I stripped the bark back and used it to tie it all together it was awesome 👌
Oo is that on your channel? I could do with a guide 😂
@Chronically_Outdoors no I think I still have it on my go pro though if not when I'm up the woods next i'll make one to show you, it only takes about 20 minutes to make and we're doing a load of coppice work soon so I'll have plenty of material
@@bushcraftsussex that would be amazing mate. You're a diamond in the rough. I'm painfully new to bushcraft, it's something I have always been interested in but never had anyone to join me in my interest.. now I've got 2000 people to join me! 💜 Love this RUclips stuff so much
I found a brill jacket for camping berghaus cornice! Really good!
Just looked it up, looks awesome. Gore tex is such a great material. Sadly, I can't afford such a beautiful coat right now lol
@@Chronically_Outdoors what size are you mate I might have a spare
That's very kind of you, that's a very expensive coat though.. are you sure you don't wanna stick it on eBay? I'm a pretty big bugger lol. I need to stop eating whole pots of stew 😂 XL for most coats
Look up the old English name for a bundle of sticks it will make you chuckle 😂
Deffo won't be putting that in the title 😂😂😂😂
@Chronically_Outdoors 😆 🤣 😂
A lovely inclusive and kind message and a great video. Quite labour intensive for one night, but needs must..... It must be frustrating when it doesn't go right first time, but persistence pays off and you did a good job. You were very justified to be proud of what you achieved. That was a great pep talk about taking care of ourselves. I know how it is with those mystery lumps. Always check and always get them checked out! Been there, done that. So glad it was a scare and that Emily is fine. And well done to you for opening up about it and talking about it all with no embarrassment. You had your big fluffy socks to keep you warm overnight but you were missing one big fluffy dog. So missed seeing Suki but understand why it was not practical to take her along.
Thanks, Merrily! Kind and supportive as always 💜 I'm glad you enjoyed the video, something very different for me and I really enjoyed it. Can't wait to get back out there. Sookie was very missed but sadly the location wasn't anywhere near safe enough for her to be off lead and I had to carry so much wood back and forth that she would have been sat at camp rather upset. She always thinks I'm never coming back if I leave her leashed at camp 😢 I'm hoping in future I can find a safer place to build a shelter where she can run free and maybe even help me carry a few sticks lol
@ lol I’m sure she’ll be delighted to help out😁👍
Another excellent video. Dinner looked great. Love your content, especially that your uploads are slightly longer than other RUclipsrs. So pleased Emily is ok. And yes, everyone should get checked if something is amiss. Don’t be afraid to go to your GP- it’s what they’re paid to do. The NHS offer many, many different types of screening for FREE too. Take them up on it.
Thank you so much, Sarah 🙏 I'm so blessed to have so many wonderful people that support me and my little RUclips journey. The food was to die for! I even surprised myself tbh 😂
Hi Guy, that was definitely an interesting video to watch. I appreciate your efforts and they were a great first attempt. I recognised that tarp though, I had it in the garden covering the Small shed until the heavy winds ripped it from its eye holes and absolutely shredded it. I got the top quality Fucnen Tarp after that. Less noisy in the wind too. Food looked great and I see your cup of tea, turned into a Coffee lol😂 so glad things are looking up for you and Emily. Thanks bud. ❤
Hey, Amigo 👋 Yeah the tarp is a cheap and nasty one. I didn't wanna use a nice one cuz someone will probably nick or destroy it at some point. I'm planning to go back up there soon and carry on building 😊 you're right about the noise though.. it was horrible. I think I got a better plan for the next shelter. Thanks mate 💜
Great video . 👍
Thanks, Diane! Great to see you again ☺️
Will watch later or tomorrow am on work at the minute mate! 😬☹️🤣 Shared on my community channel
Ayyy Big man! Great to see you here bud. Sorry you're stuck at work mate 😔
@ haha I’m actually in the pub now, however I will get at you soon enough my mate!
Haha good for you, bud. I haven't had a night out in a long time. I always feel old when I go out these days and then I get a three day hangover 😂
@@Chronically_Outdoors nope not much of a pub dweller myself always prefer to do my socialising around the camp fire 🔥 🤷🏻😎

Well I like your lights these ones are very cosy better than the chandeliers hahaha I think you did a very good job and I'm looking forward for your cookbook with all those nice dishes warm greetings from the Netherlands
Hahaha you wanted chandeliers, well this is the next best thing 😂😂 A cookbook, hmm That's quite an idea. Maybe I'll make a website and upload all the recipes on there for people to see. Food for thought thanks! 🙏 💜

Definitely not something I've done yet... but it was a great way of trying out a different way of camping. You now know what takes up time and energy and you can maybe try ways of improving on it. I think it was awesome, but it was maybe a bit chilly, so you may want to do it again when it warms up. Thanks for sharing, now you can go get some cuddling at home. Take care and greetings from Cape Town.❤️
It was a great experience! I enjoyed it so much, it was deeply satisfying. It scratched a primal itch inside of me haha. It was very cold.. I just feel like uploading hot tent videos all the time is boring so I switched it up. Definitely would be better in the summer lol
Lol, I was just thinking about you needing rice and you pulled it out. Looks like something I would definitely be cooking. 🤤
I'm not exaggerating when I say it was one of the most tasty camping meals I have ever eaten. Heavenly 👌
What a scary thing to go through. I'm really happy that she got the all clear. My dad's been treated for prostate cancer at the moment and it looks like he's had it for a while. For guys it's also best to get that checkup more often as you get older. With buying a car, I went to the AA, automobile association here, they do mot and vehicle recovery and services like flat tyre change and jump start, right down to towing if you join them at an annual cost. They also do a 300 point check with the MOT as an extra and give a written report for if you want to buy or sell. I used it both ways and it's a great way of having a good idea of what you are buying or adding it as a huge plus to motivate someone buying.👍❤️
You're not the first person to recommend AAs services, I'll deffo have to look into it. Until very recently, I thought they only did breakdown cover.. silly me. I'm so sorry to hear about your dad, i really hope he responds well to treatment. 🙏 Poor thing. I know so many people battling cancer ATM, it seems to be everywhere these days. I'm not sure if you have a good support network behind you or not? If you don't, please don't hesitate to email me for a chat/vent. Sometimes it's nice to air things out. My thoughts are with you and your dad. Guy.
Thank you for the offer, I will definitely remember that. I've already lost an aunt to cancer, and my partner to MS both in 2017, I've not been the same without him. I have a close family, but it's been a mountain to climb, I'm getting there. Next year's traveling is going to be a great way of getting out there again. Take care of Emily and yourself, if I could you'd be fighting off huge hugs lol. 😋🙏❤️
Oh, Neuton.. I'm so sorry. I had no idea. You're such a strong person. Not sure I would have made it through the other side of that personally. I think travelling Europe will be liberating for you. I definitely want to hear all about it! I'm glad you've got a good family behind you, my offer stands all the same. Thanks for everything, bud 🙏 😊
I've started collecting the beginnings of my own camping gear after watching your videos. I am planning on going to Europe next year and I want to be able to do some trips when I go. Very excited about it.🤞❤️
It's so touching when people tell me about how I have inspired them to get out camping/kayaking/fishing or anything! I love it so much! Your Europe trip is getting closer now. I don't recall you saying where you are going specifically, I hope it's the trip of a lifetime 💜
Regarding my trip, I'm selling a house here with the idea of traveling through Europe. I am looking for my own piece of paradise to call home and start over. I think I will know when I find it.🙏❤️
Sorry, RUclips doesn't notify my when people reply so I have to manually look through all the messages lol. It sounds like quite the adventure you have planned. I myself have thought about leaving the UK and moving to mainland Europe. The problem is the language barrier. In most of the big European cities, everyone speaks English. The problem is I would rather be more rural and no one speaks English in those parts. I hope your heart guides you to exactly where you need to be 💜
I like the saw, we have loads of sizes using those blades on my parents farm, but I've never seen a saw that you can take apart and ' flat pack ' like that. Great idea for carrying around on trips. 👍
Yep, absolute game changer for me. I actually bought this with membership money so I have you to thank! 🙏
Great skills using the rope and the right knot, you are definitely better at it than me. I really need to look at learning to tie better than I do, it's a great skill to have.
