After having a flash flood This road Starts out at my property then dumps into the arroyo Then on the other side the road pick up again. The Flood waters took out the approach So me I just had to go fix it. This is the back way out of my hood, If the main highway gets closed & it has happen. So there you go I have to keep this 70 year old body in shape. HAPPY TRAILS

Looking at the damage the Flash Flood did to the property. Going to take some work to get it back. This part of the property was just for fun I had nice trails & places to set & just hang out. I can fix it will just take some time. It will be HAPPY TRAILS once again

A 6am wake up call Flash Flood run off from the Jemez mountains. Times are a changing . All in all I'm happy the water only hurt the land not my living spaces. Plus I learn what I need to do to help move the water. Been working on tire walls Just need to go out more & higher up. Flash Floods are real get to high ground fast. HAPPY TRAILS

So Bad Badlands a spot I kind of keep to my self. Hiking for 5 years now I have not once ran into anybody. This is why I keep this one to my self. Well I do post photos & videos. A great day up in the Jemez mountains I look at all this from home Clara Peak Is around 7 miles from home. After we came down off that we went looking for the way down to Rio Del Oso. (A Williebob Adventure) Little Road Trip May 12 2024. Start Chili NM 84 to 285 to Ojo Caliente. to Cason NM a stop at the Carson Cafe Then back on the road to the Rio Grande Gorge Bridge. Then to the town of Taos a little slow going lots of people in town. Then Off to Pilar to see some White Water rapids Always a great time. Getting hungry off to the town of Dixon NM for food. They finally opened the north campground thano God
No they did not open the lower campground by the lake. And it does not look to me like they are going to. The upper campground is nice.

Another area I've wanted to explore. I always pick the wrong days to go up that road.
Yep don't go up in any bad weather. Next trip up there I'm going up by Bode's in Abiquiu 189 it turns into 31 mile road

It was a pleasure running across your video. You have a Bob Ross quality to your narration, all good. I'm also 70 and have lost the ability to do most up and down climbing due to arthritis in my knees and back. Spent most my life backpacking and hiking the Sierra Nevada, it's what I miss most so it'sa pleasure riding along with you. Thanks!

I have to do the same thing. I'm just not filling it all the way up. That's the only time it leaks.
I would think that it would be sucking air at the same time. I could just deal with it but I'm chasing down a idle problem I'm running just a little under 1000 RMPs in park it should be around 650 I have ran out of part to put on it. I hope maybe this will help the idle. A vacuum leak will make it idle higher

Absolutely gorgeous scenery my friend.
If your not into any kind or rock climbing or willing to drop down 6' with out a foot hold don't try this & it would be best to have someone with you if something goes wrong well lets just say your in big trouble Maybe no one will come this way for days even weeks most people just do the main loop. It is one thing to drop down but you can't drop up. You could be trap I'm a little on the crazy side doing what I do at 70 but as you can see it's not about your age it is who controls your mind I try to only have one voice in my head. I don't think about what if or there might be a bear or a mountain lion out there. Keep your head & HAPPY TRAILS

There is no camping It is privately owned & gated to you have to have the code to the gate to get in This area is full of badlands like this you just have to know where to look & only 15 miles from home. This is why I love New Mexico I hike all the time so will will post soon. HAPPY TRAILS & Merry Christmas

Looks like a nice scramble, might get a bit technical toward the top. New Mexico's geological background is quite interesting. I should add, that top part @0:45 looks pretty scary, those days are over for me. Bad knee.
One of the hard ones for me at the time I was 63 I'm 70 now & I think I could do it better now. Once you put it in your head & just do it is not as bad as it looks.
