My parents were planning to get divorced since I was 3. They were always fighting (verbally) and never really wanted to do stuff with each other. On my birthday back in 2019, I had to go live with my grandparents. I was SO confused. I never registered that they broke up, so I didn’t think much of the last time I’d ever seen my mom and dad both in a photo together. Three years after that I’d have breakdowns in the middle of classes and when I was alone because I missed my parents so much. I say “parents” because now they both feel like strangers, to each other and me. I still love the, and recognize them, but compared to how they were before they _really_ started fighting with each other, they were completely different people.
I met my wife in church. Maybe you can meet friends and soul mate in a church or wherever you go where people congregate. Chess club? Art Club.... I wish you the best.
Growing up throughout high-school and college I had the complete opposite experience. I was surrounded by multiple friend groups and would always have someone to hang with on the weekends and experience things with. However, It got a little to exhausting for me and I soon realized that I was going no where in my life because I would focus primarily on what my friends would think and tbh most of the times we did end up hanging out always lead to alcohol abuse and drug use. I'm 28 now and I have left all my friend groups (we message from time to time but we don't hang out) and I've come to realize I am in true bliss. It's empowering to have your own time and be with yourself and get to understand yourself better. I'm in a much happier place now.

Don't worry about high school because most people in high school are superficial at that age anyway and people rarely stay in contact with high school friends once they're adults. College... Maybe not as superficial but still generally after college people don't stay in contact much since they move on with their lives and the main commonality they had was being in the same college. As an adult, the nicer thing is that you will tend to search for people that share similar passions as you, enjoy similar things and live similar lifestyles which in turn generally will make them better friends. Nobody likes being alone, I'm sorry to hear that's what you've been dealing with. I can feel your pain. I hope you find some good friends soon because you are absolutely worthy of it!
