Hi at time stamp 11:39 you mentioned the direction of the flow of the Red River. Just a correction the Red River flows North from Minnesota draining into Lake Winnipeg and not the other way around.
This was very entertaining. Might I ask what are the water depths for many of those dredged canal runs that you did?
Whicked job! Outside of the fact its Canadian (2 thumbs up for that alone), the style and look is perfect. Nothing wrong with that little beauty
Canadian clap 👏🤣🤣🤣🤣 keep up the awesome job 👍
It's a thing ;) Thanks for watching 🙌
What a show thanks a lot for showing this fantastic and simpático man 👏👏👏👏😆
Thanks man! Glad you're diggin' it! 🎣
In 2018, I jet skied from Seattle Washington to Juneau, Alaska (videos are on my channel). While watching your video, I started planning a trip for next summer from Chicago across the great lakes to Canada and then the trip in your video to New York. Followed by the Atlantic Ocean down the ICW, to my home state of North Carolina.
Amazing! What a trip! Let’s hope the weather cooperates for you next summer. Keep us posted - we may cross wakes!
I’m pretty sure at 14:45 you said noice (nice) 😂 One of my favorite shows is Tacoma FD. The firefighters on the show pronounce words with the second letter being I as oi.
Mmmmmmmaybe ;) Thanks for watching!
first and cool

@16:25 The fenders have attachment loop at both ends. You could have tied a light retrieval cord (tether line) to the lower end leading back up and onboard for easily pulling your fenders up and into the boat.
@8:00 if that had been a huMan Overboard instead of a lost fender, the operator would not have passed the standard for recovering a person in the water.
@8:00 if that had been a huMan Overboard instead of a lost fender, the operator would not have passed the standard for recovering a person in the water.
@6:40 This is a light, mounted high so it is more visible from a distance owing to the curvature of the earth; it is not really a light house per se (where you can enter at the base, go up stairs to the top to service the lamp and polish the Fresnel lens that concentrates the beam for visibility further out to sea (lake)
Some people KEEP out-of-date pyrotechnics onboard for use in an emergency additionally to their in-date distress signals. To be ‘legal’ the devices need to be under 4 years from date of manufacture. But expired flares can still function if you elect to safely store supplemental signals. But not indefinitely as there is no shelf life standard beyond 4 years. There is now an approved electric flashing distress beacon light for night time use. Not all beacons are approved, just one particular model.
St Clair is my old patrol stomping waters with the Cdn Cst Grd S&R. Then I worked out of Rockport.
The Sarge was right the first time. The second signal is to occur within 15 seconds (not 45 as the officer incorrectly recorded in the video.) There are 6 cartridges on the cartridge belt so these constitute 3 signals (3x2=6)
Great video I was looking at this exact same model and year and had the exact same thoughts about the swim platform being virtually nonexistent what was the cost to have the one added on And turn around time
The folks at Swim Platform-ULTRA custom make and can delivery and install, so it all depends on their build sked etc. Great people, will be able to answer all those questions for you in detail: www.swimplatform-ultra.com/
hi where can I book the date to cross the canal and where to pay,
Bookings and payment need to be done online via the St Lawrence Seaway Website: greatlakes-seaway.com/en/recreational-boating/lockage-booking/
@@WaterWaysTV thank you. when is the first day of the 2025 season booking date?
@@kk-qe9hz You'll have to confirm that with the Seaway. It's usually quite early as I recall but I can't confirm personally. I've reached out to their media contacts for answers but still waiting for their reply.... 🤷
These videos are very well made and entertaining through out. didn't have to skip a single scene. Great music choice as well. very relaxing.
🙏 Thanks for watching and for the kind words! It's "easy" to make somewhere like @visitwindsoressex look fun for boaters as it's an embarrassment of riches when it comes water-based adventures.
Shout out to Dave moffatt!!!
A gem of a human! Ontario is lucky to have him at the helm
Thanks for this video. Very descriptive and good information. I’ve taken my 46´ sailboat from NYC via Erie and Oswego canals then down bound the St. Lawrence to Cape Breton. Just bought a small trawler in Toronto and will skip the Welland as 3 folks needed. Taking the northern options to Lake Champlain. - there are not many video like yours. Cheers
Glad it was helpful! We really appreciate the feedback. Lots more of this kind of stuff coming - so help spread the word (the more subscribers we get the easier it is to get content like this. Oswego and Erie canals are in the plans for next season possibly.... stay tuned :)
Cape Breton is beautiful, good on you.
How did they adjust for leakage in 1904. Thank you.
Not sure if they did. I'm sure there was regular maintenance though to keep it running
I sold that MCc in the room years ago and was lucky enough to have a tour of where you got to go, bucket list item.
Great tour
Thanks! Great region!
I love it 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉❤😊
Merci beaucoup! 🙏
Such a bitter sweet video. I can remember freezing my butt off watching my kids skating and my son playing hockey. In the winter of course 😂 Also I'm a 30 plus years as a heavy truck mechanic and filmiulair with hydraulic system and it's just a a given hydraulic you automatically think hydraulic fluid. So in this is hydraulic fluid used in this application or is it strictly the water? Just cerious. Always have been and thought what better place to ask. Ty ever so much for putting this up for the world to see 👍 🇨🇦 🔧
As I understand it's just water but good question.... thanks for watching and for the note. PS: We're planning for a behind-the-scenes of Big Chute this year!
@@WaterWaysTV nice I will watch for it. Ty for the heads up 👍
Watching from Florida, good to adventure. 🎉
We spend a LOT of time in your great State! Thanks for watching and keep the sun shining until we return ;)
Terrible background music, I mean noise. Just don’t understand why people have to have shitty music on RUclips videos
It's a conversation starter at least 😂
Can I buy one...
Yup! www.pfaffmarine.com/current_listing/porsche-fearless-28-2008/
Hello from Australia, Great pictures and equally good narrating. One little thing you might want to advise your viewers not to do... its actually illegal to drape a mooring rope across a walking path as you showed in your vid. Cheers. Max.
Hey Max, thanks for watching! Yes, there was that one part where we moored by the bridge to fly the drone and were blocking the path. In fact, a dirtbike came along as we were securing it. Good catch ;) As a reward we will do an episode in Australia 😊 (or maybe a full 13-ep season?).... with one condition: we need help from Tourism @Australia (They can ask @leboat about how effective our entertainment has been at converting viewers to travellers) From Canada to Canberra sounds good to me as a tagline, no? ;) Cheers - Steve
Actually it is not permitted to moor to trees and across pathways. I think Le Boat informs about that, or at least I hoppe so. 🤔
Hello Google Hindi mein bolna🤣🤣🤣😡😡🤬🤢🤕🤕💩💩💨💥🖕🖕🖕👎👎👏👏💪💪🦾💅
nothing on electronic flares?
Not in this episode. Doing some shoots with them though - a great alternative
You don't need bottom paint in fresh water. The worst you'll get is some algae growth, which can be power-washed off. Bottom paint will lose you some speed because its not as slippery as the factory gelcoat, and it's basically impossible to remove once some dufus puts it on. Bottom paint for saltwater only.
"Need" is relative. If you have your boating sitting in the water all season, not on a trailer, there can be significant growth of marine life which can inhibit performance even in freshwater. I have to regularly clean off the hull (simple rubbing of a brush at the beach) on our 13-ft RIB which is in freshwater for 6 months of the year to get us to the island where the bigger boat is which has bottom paint and no growth/Zebra mussels thanks to the bottom paint. With larger, non-performance, boats (cruisers) the trade off in top speed is negligible and you rarely go WOT anyways. Thanks for watching! - Steve
Wow The Neil !
The legend himself! Class act
Funnily I went from Cobourg to Quebec City by sailboat this summer. My first experience as a sailor and the first boat for the captain. The 25 year old,35 foot boat was a little neglected but we managed to bring it to his destination. With a speed of 7 knots it was a long odyssey.
Oh wow, what a journey! 7 knots isn't bad for sail but she's a long way at that speed for sure.
@@WaterWaysTV We only use the smoking, stalling, overheating diesel engine. We remove the engine cover for better cooling and turn the glow plugs on when it begins to run rough.
What month was this trip?
Started in July, left the boat in Brockville for a week or two (had other shoots). Brockville ON to Oka QC via St Lawrence Seaway in August to put on the swim platform and SideShift thruster. Did the last stretch to NYC in early September. 12 days total travel time
Honda CR-V…noice!
Classic Dad vibes 🤙
I know a 60+ yr old woman who cannot seem to find a PWC that is fast enough…every year or so she gets a new, faster PWC and complains it still is not fast enough.
Haha oh my! Sounds like a fun "problem" to have
Safety line segment….that is a big yacht in background.
Massive!!
Loving the series. Waited way too long for season 2 to show up.
Thanks!!
I did Tidal Bore ride many years ago and I can attest that it was an awesome experience.
It's an incredible experience!
I do not see customer service officer in the video. Human trafficking appears to be possible via a private recreational boats from Canada US or vice versa.
If you have a NEXUS Trusted Traveller pass you can use the app to check in. Otherwise you need to call in. But otherwise waterways are like the vast majority of the 8,891 km border and "open" (but patrolled and defended)
Loved this, thank you. Born and raised in a family that has been in Stony Point, NY since the late 1600s. Right on the Hudson just south of the Bear Mountain Bridge at the rivers widest point of 3.4 miles. (5.47km) Lots of time spent on that river. You went right by our lighthouse which was built in 1826.
Very cool! Thanks for the note (and thanks for watching) Steve can trace his family arrival to NY to 1700 - the Bull Stone House built in 1722 still stands :) The lighthouses on the Hudson are amazing!
Excellent video and lots of useful information. How is it possible that 13000 people have watched the video, 51 have liked it so far, and yet this is the first comment? If you liked a video and learned something useful, it only takes a minute to create a comment to show your appreciation.
Agreed. But thanks for the comment!! Much appreciated :)
Champlain is the 6th largest lake in the US, not the 13th!
It's 13th if you include lates that are partially in USA after the five great lakes - Lake Superior, Lake Huron, Lake Michigan, Lake Erie, Lake Ontario, there is Lake of the Woods (Minnesota + Canada), Iliamna Lake (Alaska), Great Salt Lake (Utah), Lake Oahe (North + South Dakota), Lake Okeechobee (Florida), Lake Pontchartrain (Louisiana), Lake Sakakawea (North Dakota) and then Lake Champlain If you only use lakes entirely within USA Lake Champlain is 8th after Lake Michigan, Iliamna Lake, Great Salt Lake, Lake Oahe, Lake Okechobee, Lake Pontchartrain, Lake Sakakawea
