As long as everything is aligned it should work have it placed like the video then for the case on so yoy know the gears are in place or you can try to fit it the other way super easy there a lot of videos of forward only conversions for the revo 3.3 it’s plastic in those videos but same difference hope that helps

I gotchu, search up forward only conversion revo 3.3 watch the most recent one from 12-14 days ago take it apart like in video and put it back together make sure to take out all the peices and follow it directly pause video if needed, I broke my revo trans on 3rd day never used a nitro before and I changed it to forward only fairly easily with the video if you neeed anymore help let me know don’t forget to search how to oil those steel gears ⚙️

Throw away first gear, Dremel grooves in throw out mechanism inside the second gear to match up with 4 of the holes in second gear...take 4 m4 screws and thread into second gear aligning up with grooves in the metal throw out thing to holes.......now it's full positive traction for brushless electric.....only way to do it to electric..of gears are all metal, you'll have to tap threads into holes...if plastic just thread them into holes, it'll cut it's own threads

Hi mate it's been a very long time since I've played with nitro. But my first guess would be air bubbles in the fuel lines. But tbh mate I had so many issues with traxxas engines I quit nitro even though I said nitro till I die. I now say brushless all the way. My best advice would be to join up with the traxxas forum. Forums are always the best source of info supplemented with videos. As videos tell one story. Forums with multiple members posting you can take the advice given over and over as most likely the best advice. Then hit RUclips searching those alleys. Best of luck mate. Thanks its been sitting idle alittle too long. I got real busy and all that guff rc took a back burner. But I'm over flowing with things to do and ready to start cracking on. I still need to finish the wheelie bar, add the 2nd rear shock tower which means new screws needed I've put it all off too long though.

Hi mate thanks. I think I started buying stuff around October I planned to build it slow but then just kept seeing bargains so brought stuff much faster than planned. My heart was set on an XMAXX I saved for it and I was just about to order the snap on van version when the news broke about traxxas banning exports to UK. Even parts from rcmart are banned we are forced to pay the double prices. So I decided no xmaxx. Then I wanted the tekno mt410 and decided it would be better than an xmaxx anyway I bash with my kid and her stampede so an xmaxx would be too much. But then I added the costs for the tekno and realised it has no shell no wheels included and that's expensive stuff. £500+ for an mt410 rolling chassis so I put that out of mind too. But realised tekno just put truggy stuff on a buggy chassis and thought I can do that too. But what chassis. This D8 chassis is like a traxxas in that it spawned alot of rcs based on the D8 so any parts on those should fit this. Rally car. SC truck, Truggy and buggy. Plus clones I think I found about 8-9 rcs based off the D8. Its literally just swap this part for that one lol. I think it's worked out awesome. £650 ish total. But that's inc a spare tessman d8t roller and a bunch of other spares too. I'm set with this now spare everything in a box ready. Plus it's old but not old because hotbodies continued the tessman edition as the base D8T. Maybe it still is for nitro. But the D8 electric has an all new chassis and I'm hoping to fit that chassis some time and then it really will be like the mt410 its beautiful. But I can't do it yet after just fitting new D8 v1 chassis which was vital for this to work. Newer D8 tessman chassis wouldn't work with its new centre diff mounting. but there might be a way around that. It would be awesome with the new D8 chassis though.

@@englandstillhasit WOW I had no idea Traxxas imports were banned in the UK. Traxxas is kind of a messed up company any ways lol. I wonder if it would have been easier/cheaper to have gotten an Arrma lol. I bought my MT used thinking I would save some money. The truck has been go to me, but like most used bashers, they get used pretty hard. I really like your project. I will have to keep an eye on it. Looking foward to seeing some running footage. PS. Ty Tessman was at a race a couple of weeks ago I usually race at near Austin TX. I couldn't afford it this year but it would have been awesome to have meet him.

@@ScottzillaRC Yeah I followed afew of his videos he seems really cool and truly understands these things. I'm glad he has lots of set up videos for this chassis lol. He explains stuff so clearly its great. Yeah I did like the arrma outcast but decided if I cant have the xmaxx I'll try to go cheap lol. It worked at first and mayb still is really for saying what I have. Most money is tied up in parts I can use in any future builds swapping out rollers. But I've grown to really love this platform. Always wanted a vorza knowing how fast they can be. The D8 with bl kit mayb more so having more motor options. When I saw this roller at 130 I snapped it up. Then afew weeks later saw another not so clean I got that for 100 so have two great rollers this one was like new though both only used as nitro so never really abused. But the other used much more. The tekno mt410 had my full attention and pricing it vs that I'm truly winning the budget car sticker with this lol. Two rollers at 230 vs 400 the rest of the stuff is stuff ide keep either way to re use on other builds so win win. Arrma is making big steps forward though I will probably own one in the next couple of rcs. But love this truck atm for how unique it is an I made it build lol.

@@englandstillhasit I'm a budget guy as well. Wish I had deeper pockets, but even if I did I would still be a budget guy lol. I got all of my Teknos used to save money. You are right about Armma, but still not as tough as a Tekno in my opinion.

Thats cool mate i have some but thought to try some brushed alloy but i dont like it tbh. I wanted 3 layers to help but screw cutting that 3x lol. So mayb get some alloy strip or carbon and screw them on lol. Or mould lexan around it like china guy is doing for teknos. Looks good. Like DIY body making but formed over the chassis. Another idea i don't like but should help save it. Shoe goo and skrim tape over the chassis vynal. So its easy peel off still. I can see one run ruining it as is lol.

Hi mate its the gens Ace 4s 40c 5800mah. I think its the newer version to the gens ace 4s 40-80c 5000mah they had. Kinda shorty packs. Im tempted to move the 4s on for a 3s and 2s matched. I want standing backflips lol. Im down staffs ways mate. Just under peak district i think. But im from Leicestershire mate.

??? I planned to use an LRP .32 with the New Era engine mount but didn't get to it. Shortening the crank on the .32 halted me. But was still a picco26 revo. Burst 1st gear before. The whole truck was around 12lbs total lol actually. Over powered. My friend built an OS18 vantage lightweight version. I had an rcsolutions tank.

I know lol but its annoying they must expect a pro video but dont offer to be paytrons lol. They cant just enjoy no ad content. I have done the bumper light now to shine it uses 4x 2w cob leds its crazy bright. I might make another video soon. Thanks for the reply.

Hopfully mate but i ususlly drag builds out lol. I already found a mod i want to try. My own idea. Ish i saw a guy double up his vorza front tower. So i want to cut up an apache c1 tower to act just as a bumper brace as it has the indents to clamp into. I love the idea of having it black gold edges stamped D8MT like its name plate lol. Im trying to make it black gold using Ti plated hardware now 12.9 grade apparantly i haven't stripped any yet. I just need to save up some now and carry on lol.

Jan Sköries Hi sorry late. It is the brushed ecx ruckus 2wd yes. But it has a goolrc bl combo fitted. Super cheap combo and its held this long. This truck is pretty cool. Im usually snobby about brands but this has taught me thats stupid. This thing has crashed into metal railings over and over. I just wish it steered better. Im not happy with how it handles but ive upgraded it abit since. Added weight inside the front bumper. Installed metal steering and slash links. And some trencher 2.8in. So next time it might handle better than a boat lol. I think theres a park video of it. The turning circle is insane. It takes the whole feild. It made my kid crash so much. Bl speed/wheelies is like aqua planing. We'll soon see if its any better soon.
