Mod your PS4 Controller to USB-C | Here is how!
For 5v or 20v… ? There should be a 5v standard for those devices unable to handle more than 5v.
Hi! What are you referring to? There is no way that this board could "overload" the device with, for example, 20V. As mentioned in the video, such things must be negotiated between the charger and the device. The way I am showing here is 5V only. I hope that helps. ✌🏻
should actually name the lines that you're soldering the resistor to. things have names for a reason.
Hi Goat, I missed that, sorry. My goal was to keep it as simple as possible. You need to put the pull-down resistors on CC1 and CC2. I only used one resistor because this specific board is bridging them inside, which is not ideal, but I have had no issues till then with these boards or cables. ✌🏻
so?? WHY?? Why should you need to convert to USB-C???? no answer to that... this is a video about converting your mike...
I'd assume that since the EU mandated all devices must be USB c it will soon be used universally
Hi! The first few seconds of the video should explain it. 😉 Instead of having hundreds of different cables, you only need one to charge and use all your devices. Plus, there are some great benefits....no more fiddling to get the right direction, since you can plug it in both ways. And of course, the biggest one: We are nerds! At least I am. 🤓🫶
my OCD kicked in when I saw the IC wasn't aligned totally right. It gave me the creeps. Otherwise nice video.
Haha, I will do it better next time! Thanks! 🫶
One useful tip for remembering data lines, D+ is always next to ground connection and D- is always next to Vcc in pattern of (Vcc D- D+ G )
Thank you so much for sharing! I wasn’t aware of that. I’ll keep it in mind next time! 🫶
@CanWeFixThat thank you for your appreciation.
Anytime! ✌🏻
Hang on. So the usb c conversion requires resistors, so we're wasting electricity as heat. Wasn't this change supposed to reduce waste?
Hi! Yes, we do need resistors, but they are for signaling, not power dissipation. ✌🏻
The resistors are there solely for the communications. It's a communication line.
Good video. Thanks for sharing
My pleasure!
Hello! I have a problem with my tm6, c1208 error, can you help me with the part number of control motherboard?
Hi! I have not found any source for the motherboard itself. It looks like the code you mentioned means that Vorwerk had banned the device. 😔
what about the trace that you didn't replace? It seemed like it didn't have a specific trace line to go along, but it appears that there are other traces like that. Is it important? Can you just leave it alone?
Hi! When you have pads that are not connected with any visible trace or via a hole, there is no need to connect them. I hope that helps! ✌🏻
@@CanWeFixThat it for sure does! Thank you for answering.
It was a pleasure! 🫶
Thanks it worked. 🙏🏽
Glad it helped ✌🏻
It seems to me like it'd be easier and less risky to just get an adapter
Where did you buy it .
Hi! What exactly are you referring to? It should be everything in the video description. ✌🏻
Thats the next gear i need 😊 but all thermal cams are expensiv.. one of my wish list ist with usb and macr lens, to connect on the Smartphone. But the way with printed adapter that u use is really smart 👍👍👍
Hi Sebastian! Great to see you! 😁 I don't like smartphone versions because you always need your phone. How much is the smartphone version you are referring to? The macro lens adapter works like a charm! Thanks! ✌🏻🫶
@CanWeFixThat yes phone needed. That point to you 😁 it called p2 pro blabla, i forgot the rest. With your code the cam you used, is an Option. Yesterday i took a look so round about 250€ but delivering in march.. Could link the macro lens? There arw so many or is it not spezial?
@SebastianL.83 You are right; I forgot to insert the links in the description 🙈 I have added them now! ✌🏻
@@CanWeFixThat Sooo Cam is Ordert, Lens too (plus small stuff, like always when ordered from Aliexpress) Adapter ist printed. Know it shoud be march :P

Do you have any experience with a thermal camera yet, and do you think it is essential to have one? Let me know!
Hello! If I make a mistake in applying the protector and decide to remove it, will it not take some of the glass shards with it as I peel it off?
Hi! I think this depends on your glass pieces. In general, it is not that difficult to get it off again, but chances are that you remove some of the glass. But what is the alternative? 😁✌🏻
@@CanWeFixThat Thanks so much for your response!!! 😄
No Problem! 🫶
My dream is to see someone put this into a wireless game boy advance adapter
This would be awesome, but as far as I know, there is no way to get audio from the connector itself. 😕
Hello. My Nuki is died after battery replacement. Error 49. Do you think the motor replacement can fix the problem. With new batteries unable to rotate. It seems weak.
Hi Benyo, it is very likely that the motor is giving you trouble. You should at least check it. ✌🏻
@ thanks. I already ordered the motors. I hope it will help!
How to fix solder ring pads?
Hi Sanny! There are also replacement pads for solder ring pads. Another alternative is to use a very thin wire and form a spiral to make the roundish shape. I could make a video about it, if this is an interesting topic? ✌🏻
@@CanWeFixThat oh yes please a video and the component through the hole and solder it on 🙂👍🏻
well what can i do if I have an apple watch series 3, the touch screen doesn't work, and and there are shattered spots (on the corners) where i think i can see screws, i was planning on semi fixing it for my little brother after i bought myself another watch. Thanks for reading though :)
Hi! Mh, if the touch screen isn't working, you can't do much about it. You could watch videos on removing the screen, but I guess this would worsen the situation, but you have nothing to lose. ✌🏻
@ Alr, thanks man for the respond, but I feel like it’s just a waste if I throw it away, like the band is in good condition, is there anyway to make value from it? (Btw thanks again for the response)
You are welcome! I probably would sell it for parts.
Can not do and it have to do and I do not wut to do it
Ive been wanting to add wireless charging to my switch since 2022 and couldn't find anyone who had doe it. I look it up after the remembrance of my past plans. Now there a video of it. I am more likely to add wireless charging to my switch now. Thank you.
Awesome! I'm glad the video helped you out. But remember that the mentioned setup collides with the TV dock. So it makes more sense to mod a Switch Lite or try getting around this issue. ✌🏻
Hi! I made the usb c mod on a 1000 model. At first it worked ok, until one day it started not charging in some ocations (it just did it when the battery had below a particular percentage). It bacame worse, 6 months later just charged through the original port, untill finally it stopped charging (the usb c and the original one). So I changed the usb c for the tp4056 mod, and it works (but with a battery issue, I have to use a program that reset the vita to show the real battery percentage after charging it). I'll try this method next week. Thanks for the tip!
Thanks for sharing! Keep me posted; I am curious how it went!
@CanWeFixThat it worked! Thank you very much!
Great! Thanks for sharing and have a great day! 🫶
Nice video, but you call this easy?
Thank you, random! Of course, it is hard to judge what is easy and what is not, but at least you do not have to form the pad by yourself with a wire. 🙂✌🏻
Thanks, it works!!
Thanks for sharing, and have fun with your fixed scale! ✌🏻
Is it safe to assume that the motherboard and FW is same for the Kingdom set and The new NEO, you think? It did show up as 'NEO' when you connected. Any idea if the same is true for Grand Kingdom and the new SWAP?
Meanwhile, I sold the Kingdom Set chess board. After checking it before, the app stated "Kingdom Set," so I assume it was only a bug in the past.
What is that solder jig you have?
Hi Jesse, this is the Hakko omnivise. ✌🏻
Hi -And thank you for a very exiting fix! I have similar problems, and I'm willing to try your firmware-fix. -But I don't have a 'good' board to dump from. Do you have a copy of the good firmware, and are you willing to share?
Hi! Unfortunately, I can't share it because the dump is not open source. 😔

How to fix power cable to connctor
Im 90% done with this mod, but im using an ags101 motherboard, so i cant get +5v off of the source you used. Do you know where on an ags 101 motherboard i could get 5v?
Got 5v from S2. Now i have a new problem tho. When i pair to a speaker, i get no audio for a few seconds, then it unpairs
Have you tried it step by step? Are you only connecting the Bluetooth module and giving it power? You could try powering it with a lab power supply, but you need to make sure to have a common GND, so connect the ground of the GameBoy to the GND of the lab power supply. ✌🏻
Would it be possible to use a ttp223 capacitive touch sensor rather than an existing button? Im trying to do something similar on my ags101 motherboard but cant seem to get it to work
If it acts like a regular button, it could work.
Thanx for the explanation to repair the power unit. The same problem on my Play 3. Ordered the caps, put them in and the Play 3 is back alive.
Hi Jurtenhund. Thanks for sharing; it is always lovely to hear that a video helped others to fix their devices! ✌🏻
Hello, my friend. I have a Sonos Play 3 speaker, and the LAN connection stopped working, and I can't perform a factory reset. Do you have any tips to resolve this? Thank you.
Hi Sergio, I haven't encountered this problem yet. Do you see any signs of live, like blinking lights on the ethernet port? ✌🏻
@@CanWeFixThat Hello, the network card lights don't light up and the status LED is static white, I can't do the factory reset 😔
@sergiomesquita7433 To be honest, I have no clue what's wrong. It Could be a bricked Firmware/Software. 😕
If we don't have a hot air station, is there another easy way to get the original port unsoldered? Still waiting on my proper soldering bits to deliver so I am figuring out if I'll need something else. Got Flux, Wick, and an iron currently.
Hi Zane! You could try getting low-melt solder. This will be liquid for extended periods, giving you a better chance to heat all spots simultaneously. Hi! Have you seen one, or are you more or less thinking that there is a fuse?
@CanWeFixThat yes i saw one, i can send a picture if you want
@blizzer44, I assume it looks like an SMD resistor or something similar. If so, I recommend using hot air to remove it and solder a new one with a fine soldering iron tip. If you only have a soldering iron, I would use a big solder blob covering both pads to desolder it.
@CanWeFixThat do you have a link to order a new one?

We use the same plugs, but still proprietery technologies, vooc, quickcharge, supercharge etc. I still need different cables and chargers for different devices, even if they're all usb-c. Another one for my phone, another for my gf phone, another one is for my laptop and there is also a freaking glue gun that will only charge with some old chargers or i plugged to my laptop. The standarization didn't completly solve the issue
Yeah, you are right; I have seen a Parkside Rotary Tool that has a USB-C Port but only charges with its own 13V charger 🤯
@@CanWeFixThatI have a rechargable flashlight that doubles as a power bank, which is cool! Unfortunately it requires the bundled power adapter to charge which makes it almost useless to me
I always have it in a carrying case so a simple adapter from USB type C to the proprietary charge plug saves a lot of work and is no problem to have with me all the time.
