It would be interesting to know how much the "best food in the country" with the gain of guests also play into this. Having a variety of food stalls and plenty of them increases the guest park attendance with this award.
I like to put cotton candy stall near haunted house because it looks like a ghost and ice cream stall near slide because it looks like ice cream.
I build tracks that I would ride on. Another thing is, it might take several reopenings of it to get higher stats. If set to race mode, first person that wins gets the extra lap, but the game basis it off car 1. So if car 1 came in second or dead last, your stats will be a bit lower.
I build transport ride to make it transport the guest by not charging anything just to store the guest that have no money left😂 or make them easy to exit usually 1 station near park entrance/exit and another 2 or 3 station randomly on the edge and the back of the park
Very accurate to the og
Ome thing about the recreation of medusa great adventure in rct2, is the first loop inversion goes to the left instead of the right! But otherwise very nice coaster and game as i hated it when the six flags parks didn't have bugs bunny, looney tunes, and batman the ride riddlers revenge! Which is why i never messed with any of the six flags rct2 parks woth looney tunes and batman missing!
Thank you!! Currently stuck on this one
Track colors at the end with the panels looked really nice, and the initial inline barel
This is great! Thanks
0:34 notice how the back wheels should go straight but 0:42 in game the front wheels go straight
Are you sure you want to sack Handyman1?
Thank you for the information!
I’m not paying that much to use Restroom 12!
I don't charge for transport rides and so use them to move people around the park as people will use them when they're free.
It's so nostalgic. Love your Video.😁
Interesting 😊
Where's part 3?
I used a gigacoaster with boosters and 4 stations on the edges of a park to move people around. I kept the lines kinda short, to cut down on people trying to immediately ride again, so then they would have to find other stuff to do, in the different areas.
I think the only time I use these is for canyon and mine scenarios, where the path takes forever to zigzag up. So the Lift / Elevator takes guests like 10 seconds to get them from the top to the bottom of the terrain.
In order for the Lift to work, the entire game mechanic of guests using rides specifically as a transport rather than exclusively a ride would have to be implemented.
Nice video! Very clear explanations.
I was not aware of the Safety cut-out causing chain lifts to malfunction. In my current scenario three coasters have crashed due to collision after like 4+ years of working perfectly and i had no idea what caused it since i always use block brakes to prevent the station brake crash. I wish there was a "replay" feature for crashes showing me what exactly happened to better understand what to do better. :D
I didn't know Downhill derailment was a thing. Apparently, I've been preventing it by accident.
I can't build under the ride's path. It says the ride path is in the way.
They also differ to other rides that guests will almost always ride them when they bump into them, ignoring any intensity preference etc. If I remember correctly, even if they're leaving the park.
That’s correct. Even if they are leaving the park, they’ll hop on. It’s kind of the only time they actually use transport rides as a transport ride - they don’t intend to use it to get closer to the exit, but they do.
It would be awesome if pathfinding could actually see transport rides as transport rides. There's park layouts that I could finally try, if I didn't need paths connecting everything.
I’d love that!
Does guest actually sit on the ride for more that one station? Doesn't they just get off at the next station no matter what? 🤔
They’ll always get off at the next stop!
I do sometimes use them as gentle rides. They have good capacity, and good excitement for gentle rides, meaning you can make good decent money from them.
Absolutely amazing!!! When I say I STUDIED this video... I literally have a full page of notes next to me. I loved this game as a kid but never actually played it the way it was meant to be played (just sandboxed it) and now I'm learning to do it properly. Thank you so much!!
So glad it was helpful!
Can't this also increase throughput? If you have a block section in the middle of the coaster (time wise) you can nearly double the amount of throughput. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Yes, you’re correct. Using block brakes well can increase throughout, and doesn’t require huge stations either.
Great video well done can’t wait for classic on switch
I like to have one at the end of the ride to prevent crashes. I usually don't make large stations.
I played this map on Rollercoaster Tycoon and failed both times. 1st time due to this specific ride crashing in the game and me being unable to reopen it even after it got fixed, resulting in me having a negative amount of money, and the 2nd time nothing crashed, yet I still couldn't build more stuff, except adding Rita into the game.
The great white shark cars look VERY cool!🦈
Why is the whizzer red?
Hey bro how do you have the black and grey theme?
tis derail ting is wats mising in the new games so sad
How us this a how to beat video? You skip a lot or fast forward in your video's. I want a live step by step guide so I can build my park exactly like yours
The full playthrough is here: ruclips.net/video/HN-QORi9PNE/видео.html (in x2 speed)
Oh, you built it. I was looking at this like, I don’t remember this in the game.
"Well, folks, there's nothin' like a bonfide, genuine, electricified, six car monorail!"
It's up there with the Junior (Steel Mini in RCT1) and Wooden Roller Coasters as the most iconic coaster type in the game.
1:53 this is why I'm glad rct2 was made!
Do mechanics in real life inspect rollercoasters in parks every 10 minutes or 30 minutes even?
Not from what I can tell. I'm not sure if it's still the policy, but a "Popular Mechanics for Kids" episode set at Six Flags Magic Mountain in the 90's had a mechanic state he inspected the rides every day before the park opened to guests. That usually seems to be what mechanics in real life do at theme parks. Traveling carnivals seem to vary on when the rides are inspected, or by whom.
@@JCBro-yg8vd Yeah, I know in Tusenfryd, the only theme park in Norway, they inspect the rollercoasters at least once a day. Days in RCT pass alot faster than real life, and each 10 minutes is still more than a day in game I think.
No, rides or coasters usually have a scheduled time for maintenance. This could be for a couple of days or the ride could just go down for the rest of the day.
You should do a tutorial on how yo mesh these together like that. I can never get it
@ Tony Mosci Can you please post the links so I can download Alton Towers and Heidi Park respectively, my device only loads through those links, like how I did for Blackpool Pleasure Beach
Hopefully in OpenRCT they can make it to where guests have to pay a fee to withdraw from the ATMs
what u say at 3:13 and 30 secs forward is straight gold - im gonna think about that
"You want intensity? We *HAVE* intensity!" (Marcel Vos)
Guests at maximum happiness will go on rides that have recently crashed, others won't.
