Installing Kadee Couplers and Coupler Boxes on Atlas Masterline Cars

This is an instructional video on changing to Kadee couplers on the Atlas Masterline Series cars. The freight cars come with a coupler box that will not accommodate Kadee couplers so they must be cut off and new draft gear boxes mounted. #hoscale #kcs #modelrailroad #kansascitysouthern #modeltrains #LouisianaandArkansas #L&A

A Tour of George Washington's Mt Vernon
Просмотров 3732 месяца назад
I had the privilege to tour George Washington's Mt. Vernon while on vacation. This video is a little rough. I did no editing on it. The shots inside the mansion are short because they don't want you recording inside although you can take photos. So if you see something you like, please be sure and pause the video.

have you gain any hours
A little bit. Still 700 to go. I appreciate your help.
Great stuff. Used to watch the Southern Crescent out there in the 70's. My brother is Director of Facilities for VRE, send me videos all the time. Thanks for sharing. Scott
Glad you enjoyed them.
Sorry I was late, Robert and Wilmer but I went back and watched what I missed. That was cool that you found the colors and the sample chart. Great job on the gate and fence. Now it’s time to use those colors to build the train from undecorated cars and a loco, lol. Even The Canadian, Trackside Mike has one.
No problem being late. There is no late for us. I guess I'd better get my airbrush out. 😁
Hello Robert, did I miss the stream tonight?
Yes, but I will try to carry on. 😆 Seriously, we missed you.
im running your videos
I really appreciate it Dwight.
[thank, you for you're great helpful video]👍
Thank you for watching. I hope it helps you.
Yes, I must admit you are somewhat better looking, hello Wilmer, I pray that you and your loved ones are well, be safe out there and God bless.
LOL

Hi
Hi. thanks for watching.
Without Web Cam the Curve is Dead. !!!!
Always more fun with friends! Some nice catches!
Yes it is!
Great video, little brother! Wish I could have seen it. I seem to remember I went on a train at a very young age. Think with Aunt Mary or Mary Earle. No one alive to tell😢
Only you remember now.
Robert excellent video, drill bit size next number drill is a #51, what size did you use , Rapidio sometimes needs modifications to fit new coupler boxes
So the number 2 size screw is .08" and the drill bit I used was .0625 which a 1/16" bit.
Almost a pure KCS consist with one exception, KCSM. Could have been the old train #54 (no idea what the new designation is) going to Dallas on the Texas Sub.
Nice to see it. I only there were a white one in the consist...
I was able to get pics of Conrail back in the 80s, and it is a great location. Still had the K-4 steamer on display. Did you wave to the V/R camera?
The K4 is inside the Roundhouse of the Railroaders Memorial Museum to be restored to operation.

"The Maple Leaf - KCS" :) At least yours lasted this long. I still hate "Cascade Green"
LOL
Good job!
Thanks, Steve.
Nice one Robert, Horseshoe Curve is a wonderful place! Been there a few times, never disappoints! (Dave).
Yes, hoping to go back again.
Excellent coverage Robert, caught her twice! True on your statement on the KCS, what a shame! (Dave).
It is a beautiful steam engine.
Excellent catch and sweet lashup there Robert! (Dave).
Thanks, Dave!
they have done some nice upgrades to the museum part.. that paper boy just didn't shut up. lol
Yes, I tried to tell him to, but he wouldn't listen.
Interesting, have a great weekend 👍🏻
Thanks!
Very cool 👍🏻
Thank you, sir!
So glad you got to experience the curve, and to do it with your buddy Wilmer, that's awesome. Thanks for yhe tour of the museum as well. Good stuff Robert
IT was fun with Wilmer as you can see.
Great day of trains with friends! Appreciate you hanging out, brother!!!🫵☝️✌️
I enjoyed it. Looking forward to next time.
Hey Robert looks like you and Wilmer had a great mini vacation. I believe the train that you were looking at from the parking lot was a ballast train.
Thanks Floyd.
Great that you made it over to see the Steamer. Nice F9s.
It was something. I wish they would have let the steamer do more work. They were mainly pulling it.
Hi Robert 👋 Agreed...always and still ...KCS ,with me as well . Nice show 👌 DD
Thanks Darrell. It was a lucky catch.
That was a lot of action and it must have been a blast with Plumber there. Looked like the first train had a charger on front. Do you know what those cars were on the second train? Looked like mini boxcars.
They were either gravel or ballast cars.
It was a fantastic day! I think Robert hit it on the head. Rocks are all I see! They are sweet hoppers. I have looked for them in ho and couldn't find any. l hope you are well, Derek!!!🫵👍👍✌️
Great to have some company while railfanning.
Yes, and alwasy a good day with Plumber.
Looked like you caught a MOW train ... pretty rare.
Ah ha, that's what it was.
They like playing with the air horns. Not many passengers riding tho
They do. I think Manassas is close to the end of the line, or the beginning, so you don't have a lot folks once you're at that station, especially in the afternoon.
Nice video Robert
Thanks, Manny!
The prr gp 9 ran that way...great video
Yes. KCS always ran their stuff short hood forward.
great tutorial video
Thank you. I appreciate the watch.
Nice catch while you were there Robert!
I was lucky to get it. It was a last minute decision that paid off.
Just what are you doing at Deramus, Mr Johnson?
I thought I'd follow the crowd.
Hey Robert glad to see you make it. She's a good looking consist!
It was warm, but I'm glad I made it.
KCS will always be around as long as the FLYING CROW is around
You betcha!
Did you go to LA just to see the Empress?
Actually, I was there for a memorial service in the morning. I would have gone either way though since it is so close.
Beautiful locomotive! Do they offer passenger trips somewhere?
Unfortunately, not. It is just touring the system with the big wigs.
Nice catch Robert!
Thanks, Randall.
We see this train via Flying Crow thanks Robert
Robert how big was the nail, I am surprised you said that bad word C🤬🤬🤬, looks like a cool train , we won’t see this
A beautiful steam engine. LOL, should I have said casket?
Rob, no A/C? Hope you got that fixed 😅
I'm waiting on the repairman to send me an estimate so I can turn it in for the warranty. It is a little warm.
@@FlyingCrow Warranty. Good news.
@@kcsthebetterway I'll bake until then.
@FlyingCrow Selly, it's not warm down there. 75 today.

Sorry we missed this one Robert/ Wilmer,. Our whole team was pretty much glued to Ryan Hall and our eyes/ears on the severe weather, in Wisconsin! (Dave).
No problem Dave. Thanks for catching the replay.
@@FlyingCrow your welcome! (Dave).
Excellent show Robert. The weathering was top notch. Happy Memorial Weekend coming up soon. 😎👍🏼
Thank you Drew. Happy Memorial Day to you as well.
Sorry Robert and Wilmer, life got in the way. I got there for the end but I’m watching from the beginning now. I look forward to your weathering clinic. I don’t know if it’s true or not but they say that livestreams don’t help your watch hours so if it’s true my watching late will help your hours. Edit: OMG, tell Wilmer I choked on my drink when he said to use dullcoat to help his pasties stick. I’ll never get that picture out of my head along with the Flying Wilmer. Nice job on the cars, Robert.
LOL Livestreams don't help with watch hours while they are happening, but after they are over and someone watches them they count towards watch hours.
Very nice structure Robert.
thanks hunter. I still need to do a few details to it and put some lights in it.
