To ensure we have the best protection, we decided to switch over the the @Metaltech4x4 frame mounted SideWinder rock sliders. These sliders are built extremely tough and feature a 25 degree angle to help glide us over those big boulders we'll be seeing in the near future.

Bronco DIY Rear Cargo Floor Platform
Просмотров 25616 часов назад
There is not much that is more fulfilling than doing something yourself. We strongly considered paying several hundred dollars for a quality rear cargo platform. We decided to give it a try ourselves since we had good luck building the drawer system in our old 4Runner. So glad we did and we are really happy how it turned out. With our flight to Broncopalooza cancelled due to the Microsoft outage. We were desperate to get out of the heat and negate some cabin fever. Luckily, some of our friends proposed a quick trip to Cinder Hills OHV just outside of Flagstaff, AZ. Bronco Transfer Case and Front Diff oil changes
Просмотров 15921 день назад
Given our recent drivetrain upgrade project included re-gearing to 5:13s, we had to endure a 500 mile break in period for the Front and Rear differentials. Since we were at it, we figured we were way overdue a transfer cases fluid change as well. In this video we will highlight the Transfer Case and Front Diff fluid changes and do post Rear diff oil change review. We simply ran out of time to f...
Bronco on Backway to Sheeps Bridge
Просмотров 24321 день назад
At the suggestion of our friend @BuckinLifeoffroad , we ventured to Sheeps Bridge over the Verde River. There are two ways to get here, from Horseshoe Dam Road or Bloody Basin Road. We went up from the south on Horseshoe Dam Road. The Bridge area has an awesome swimming hole to cool off from the Arizona Heat. The dogs took advantage of the situation and took a dip in the river. Garmin GLO 2 Test & Review
Просмотров 322Месяц назад
We recently said goodbye to our Garmin inReach Mini. It worked well, but we sold it and recovered more money than this item cost. This item also does not require plan. With the iPhone 15 Pro Max having its own SOS feature now, it just made sense to go this route. Something to note, if you are in the process of upgrading to a new iPad, it may be cheaper to get it with the cellular capabilities (...

Thank you for the idea of putting the bx55s pelican case inside the JCR rack, I modified it to sit off my F150 hitch.
I just used a little silicon to seal mine from leaking.
How hard is it to link a PDF on the products website?!?
single use unlike a hi lift jack that has so many uses..
@@user-xw1vv3hm3r I have a winch, snatch block, and recovery ring, so I’m comfortable negating those benefits
MetalTech4x4 builds a HIGH QUALITY product! You’ll put em to good use here in a few winks! Whoop whoop!
So you're full of shit when you say you'd never go over 3/4". PS that gap looks like total crap. It does not look "amazing"
Does water get behind them when it rains or when you wash your vehicle?
@@landry3434 mine didn’t. They snapped on pretty snug
Windrock is a MUST for any off road enthusiast! Great video!
is there a staging area where you can park if you take a side-by-side?
@@patd4u2 it sure, but it’s currently closed again due to recent fires
@@BirdDogOffRoadAdventures dang closed again, thank you for letting me know about the staging area, was trying to find a video of the entrance, but didn't see any so now I know I can park there and unload my side-by-side again thank you

Nicely done! Looks great
Badass man! It turned out fantastic!!!
Yall rowdy…
A lot of these type things seem gimmicky or whatever… this actually seems functional for a variety of uses.
@@OffROADFanADDICT I agree, I was skeptical as well, but this is one of those mods I truly love and would recommend to others without hesitation
What a bizarre combination of colors in the terrain… 🧐
I miss Flag! Thanks for sharing!
@@twodognite you and Gary should come down there.
Thanks for the review
Did you just remove the existing fuses, did you have to splice or what?
@@NoJoey I moved the existing fuses into the tap piece
@@BirdDogOffRoadAdventures it was a first for me, the lack of the diagram seems backwards to ford encouraging mods. Feels like a multimeter should be required to ensure you cause no electrical damage. After finding my specific diagram and understanding current flow better, I got it working.
Planning to make my first trip to KOAR this year! Looking forward to it!
hows that system holding oup for you? No damage to the hand grip yes? Looks like a WINNER and also very cost effective solution! Also, how big is that ipad you are using and what would be your recommendation on the size limit (too big)? and I heard to run OnX you DONT need a cellular plan, just an ipad that has one and is ALSO GPS capable. Correct?
@@patricklim1384 TBH, I don’t use it anymore since I upgraded to the Tackform system

Is it lava rock? or cinders from that massive meteor that left that crater down by y’all? Looks cool either way!
TBH, I don't know what the difference it, LOL
Not buying a Toyota 4 cylinder truck.
Please correct me if I am wrong. You have the rock slider power steps, and 37 x 12.5 tires. What lift did you use? Did you use wheel spacers? And what rubbing did you get on your tires with the crash bar mounts? Did you get any tire rubbing anywhere else. You answers would be appreciated. Thanks.
@@texasgrillchef8581 at the time of this filming, I was using the Zone Off-road 3” lift on the stock coilovers with the rock slider power steps and 37x12.5 BFG KM3s. I have since upgraded to Radflo coilovers a 1.5” body lift and 38x12.5 Nitto Trail Grapplers (video on that as well). I didn’t have rubbing on the front crash mounts, just the rear piece that was featured in this video. I saved the front portion for later who I took it to a shop for a suspension upgrade.
Have you used this since you got the hardtop? If so, did you use the suction cups?
@@wheelerk2012 I have not, but I don’t see that wouldn’t work
That was a fun trip, we will have to go back there to explore some more!
Ì. Tàķè faìr
Its all fun and games, till the tie rod on the Bronco breaks!!
Nice video! How much clearance between the front skid and the control arm? I have these on my Wildtrak with the HOSS 3, and part of it (center) has plenty of clearance, but the outside and inside has like paper thin clearance, so it rubs. After I got and installed these, RCI says they do NOT fit HOSS 3.0. 😞
@@robw9098 I just recently switched to a Hoss 3.0 and haven’t noticed any issues
A Ford Fording!!!
What was the mieage that u did this at? Im at 56,500. Dealer told me not ready to change yet. So curious.
@@skye269 I just had my gears changed, so I did as part of the break in of those. From what I’ve read most people are doing it around the 15-20k range. Ford will tell you 100k
I used the pump method as well when I did mine. You can also use a squeeze pack which I haven't tried yet. The pumps work great for refilling. I changed my front diff rear diff and transfer case on the same day. I had a good amount of metal paste on the magnets. I think I did mine right around 35,000 miles.
Thank you for putting in the work to film this for everyone! I wish I’d not procrastinated and done the front and transfer case myself before Badlands Bash! I’ll def use this for reference when I do all the fluids again at 60K miles. Thanks for the shoutout on the rear diff!
Going in from bloody Basin Road all the way down is much much nicer.... Way more scenic. Entering in via 7 Springs the back way also. If you go in through Horseshoe Dam Rd, you should really check out the dam as well! You can walk underneath it and it's really cool when the water is flowing. I appreciate the shout-out brother!

I went down on the trail twice in the same day. I cut a tire and put on my spare. Then further down the trail I broke a valve steam. I had to limp the Bronco home 3 hours. It was not the best trip home. If I would have had this kit I could have made it home safer.
@@BareBackBroncos wow, that would suck
@@BirdDogOffRoadAdventures I got it home and the next day got the valve stem fixed. If I had a trail repair I would have been okay but I don’t have a kit.
