Hello Brendon... i have tried this method...but as u said we should remove tapes every after 10 days so that the graft will breath...but while doing that the graft looses contact as there is no support.. So what if I leave the zip tie by cutting its end and wrap the tape over it? So that it will hold the graft even if i remove tape aftr 10 days... And a wrapping roll can be an alternative for both the medical and electrical tapes?

I also have a 10-10-10 from Upland Nursery. Bought it as a large in a 5 gallon pot, it’s now in a half barrel, it’s a prolific brancher and bloomer and crowd favorite. Cool!

The instructions are simple and easy to understand. I just started planting mines from seeds and its not easy at all.

In sufficient video, pl. show up to routings as a full video.

Warning! This type of graft shrinks at the top and bottom causing gaps at both the top and bottom. This means the graft will take years to heal up and close and reduce growth and easily break in wind. Use an long angle cut for 100% healing. Also, zip ties are worthless. A graft rapped tight with grafting tape is way stronger than zip ties. And if you live in a windy area keep the tape on for at least 30 days and when you take the tape off put pruning wax or wound sealer along the cut joints so the cutting is air tight and does not dry out or have scars. I have had to redo many grafts that dried out and fell apart due to the windy weather drying out the wound and shrinking it. Also, green cuttings/wet cuts seem to glue together much better. And shorter grafts have a better chance of healing and you can get 2-5 grafts out of just one long cutting🤗.

I just cut the square block in half on the zip tie. No worries about cutting the strap against the stem.
