🩷🍃✨hi Amy!! thank you for continuing to share with us 😊 watching/listening to your (and other) planty videos is so calming and enjoyable for me😇me and my plants are thankfully doing well, blessed and grateful🔻yet always feeling the thick layer of grief, rage etc for the ongoing injustice and madness globally and locally 🕊️ thank you for sharing your experience with us❤️ grateful for plants in giving us life, reminding us of life, and growing alongside us!!! ✨✨✨
Your live for the Nepenthes is very inspiring. I used to grow them indoors in front of a large window and kept them moist (with rain water), not really wet to avoid root rotting. A little spray at times helps a lot. They thrived so well untill my divorce and moving house. Last year, after different moves, I bought new ones and are slowly expanding my collection. So happy to take care of them again. They are true personalities! They are again in front if a large window with sunshine during the morning (if any sun at all these days 😉). Thank you for sharing the way you care for them, very helpful ❤
Hi love! Do you have any tips for Nepenthes Miranda? I’m really struggling :(
Change your title. No text, no verbal information. This wasn't about care. But your plants are pretty.
It’s to advertise the full version care video uploaded to the channel at the same time. But I get your point and could have been more clear
It's beautiful Amy! It will be fun to see it grow and morph! ❤
Thank you so much! Yes can’t wait to film an update and see how it gets on ❤️❤️
💌
❤️✨🌱
This is an incredible project!! You have truly inspired me!! So impressive ❤
You've done a brilliant job Amy, it looks so natural, just like like a forest floor. I love the Anthuriums, Maranta and so much more. Once the plants grow up a little, any cork still showing will be covered anyway. Did you plant anything that will climb up the sticks and does lichen keep growing once it's removed from its natural habitat? We rarely see it where we live, it's too warm here. I think I'm going get YT up on our TV to get a better close up look, my tablet is a bit small to see a great deal on the whole screen.. I can't wait to see progressive updates and thanks for taking us along on this project.
GORGEOUS!!!! I’d like to live in there 🙂💚✨🐢
It looks fantastic! You’ll find yourself picking up plants now that you never considered before. In mine I have things like small ferns, begonias, peperomias, Fittonias, a sensitive plant, creeping fig, moss, some tiny orchids and Hoyas. Also a few carnivorous plants on side shelves to catch the fungus gnats (but not on the floor where they’d catch isopods/springtails). I highly recommend isopods as well as your springtails as they’re bigger and will clean up more of the mold and decaying matter.
It looks amazing.
The boat People all moved in.
Love this creative DIY design. Look forward to next steps 💚✨
Thank you so much Dee ✨🙏🏼
Very excited to see Part 2 and the plants and design!
Thanks so much, coming on Sunday! 🥰
I got into aquatic plants a couple of years ago. To clean the algae I got amano shrimps, such great characters 😅 I also have quite the collection of snails - pest snails and ones I bought on purpose 😂 and it brings me so much joy. I’m glad you feel good about your decision though and I’m about to watch the next video now 😊
That’s a great way to deal with it!! I considered the same but realised that taking on any more animals right now is just not the right time for me. It’s something I definitely want to revisit in the future, and would be so cool to have little critters like that in the tank! 😌 Thanks so much for watching ✨
So excited to see it all planted up!! It’s gonna be gorgeous ✨
Thank you so much! 🙏🏼 Coming on Sunday 🥰 ✨
Hi Amy thank you for the honest update. I was thinking about a similar project... but maybe now will wait to see your terrarium 😊 As ever, an interesting and educational video, looking forward to seeing what you do with the tank next! ❤
Hi Amy. How amazing that you can have a pet turtle for so long, I know very little about them so my comment may sound silly. Anyway, the whole time you were talking about the aquatic plants etc I kept thinking about . Do you have any videos of the turtle and its life with you? Thanks for telling us the story of your experiences with the aquatic set up. Im looking forward to the video of you setting it up the terrarium.
You were a great 🐢 Mom! Maybe in the future you'll return to aquatic plants...or not! You do you! Ohhh a terrarium! Can't wait....love terrariums! 😊
I have a 15 and 35 gallon terrarium, I only do maintenance about once a week. They are beautiful, and I love watching how different plants grow in a different environment. Can’t wait to see your build.
thanks. just bought a sf300, for veggie seed starting.
Another creator I liked a lot has moved away from doing educational/informative videos almost entirely - but I can really understand it from an effort/work point of view. If you get as many views without research work, it's understandable why people are moving away from doing it. I think that's one reason why I've started watching "proper" documentaries again. I loved your plant basics series <3 But I understand 100% that you don't want to be hated on!
How to tell the difference between guttation and extrafloral nectaries? Or are they kinda the same? I am keeping a 5' wisteria (indoors, controversially) and i'm finding lots of sticky droplets along the younger leaf stems at the top. The plant is otherwise super healthy and growing fast, so i'm intrigued to know what this... or if its a super discreet pest. Another unsual behaviour I've found in him is nyctinasty! He goes to sleep every night. Which scared the hell out of me on the first night because i thought he was wilting badly 😅
Lovely haul. I also got a Ledebouria from PLNTS some months ago and it’s doing well. It will produce offsets and spread. I find it thirstier than I expected and its leaves got a bit fed up being too close to a grow light so I’ve put it in a West window (am in Ireland). The leaves are not as succulent as the plant might first appear. It made a lovely flower that got blasted a bit by the grow light. Anyway I think something a bit more moisture retentive than a cactus soil would work. I just got a Silver Blush too. Found a cheap one in Woodies which was a surprise. And got a baby Thai Con from PLNTS a few months ago. It was a bit slow at first until the weather got better and now it’s bounding along. Was terrified of root rot at the start so kept it sparingly watered. All that Thai 2.0 fear instilled by Kaylee Ellen I think 😂 it’s now fairly thirst and in an airy mix. I got a tiny Vittarifolium last year and it’s growing like a beast now and starting to size up. Such an easy plant. Likes to dry out between waterings. I still have mine in a drain less plastic cup in mostly moss and while it was initially in a cabinet it’s now fine in ambient conditions. Exciting to see we have so many recent plant acquisitions in common. Even just got Hoya mathilde too and all going well so far. That’s a gorgeous crystallinum too. I’ve overwatered mine and got lots of oedema but it’s recovering. In my experience they are fine going a bit dry between waterings. Maybe not as much as clarinervium. Still finding my level with crystallinum. Happy growing! Love your informative videos.
Hi Amy. I stopped the video to say I actually held my breath when the chystalinum was revealed. I will be admiring this plant from afar because I have run out of space and also don't feel confident about growing it well. One day I may change my mind. Although I know the packaging is good and the plastic tubes protect the plant its a lot of plastic to dispose of, I presume it's recyclable. You've chosen a fabulous selection off plants and I look forward to seeing an update in the future. Thanks for taking us along with you in the unboxing of a fabulous lot of plants.
Just wow on the packaging! Ofc you pay extra for that, but it's better than a recent delivery I had from etsy where the top's of the plants were able to be smashed against the the box without any protection!!
Love your videos. You are so calm and relaxing to watch. Be careful with the Silve Squill around pets as it is very, very toxic. Cats can be killed just chewing the leaves.
Love it❤
Plastic packaging - very disappointing
It's not like she asked for it to be plastic 😂 get a grip
Urban Plant Life is the best shop in Dublin, I got a tortum 12cm pot for 10 euro, I told them last week I was looking for a hoya compacta, they got them in yesterday, 7 euro for a 3 stem plant, I ended up buying 3 of them to make a large pot and I am in love
I don't think you'll have to worry about the Thai Con taking over for a while. I've had mine for 2 years and it grows like 4 leaves a year. I don't think Vittarifolium like being in the post. Mine had 3 older leaves yellow in transport, so I wouldn't worry about it. I've just started half a dozen Pallidiflorum narrow seeds. Looking forward to letting the longbois take over haha The Crystal is stunning as well 👍
Also, I heard a story from a farmer who said he cured his cancer by drinking the unopened pitchers. Nature's medicine.
well I heard a story about a farmer who cured his cancer by drinking horse dewormer in water
I have the exact nepethes Gaya that you have too. But mine was names Gaya x buddha. It looks identical tho!!
Enjoying your begonia videos. Greetings from the Netherlands
I love this chatty video! I enjoy your lilting accent so much! 😊 Please ignore the mean haters! Your educational videos are wonderful! I hope you continue to make them! ❤
Do you have a video on trimming to make it fuller and propagation?
I have done plants the last 30 years, don't think it'll wear off :)
Hi Amy. I usually spend my afternoon resting & crocheting (as I’m retired and paraplegic)and was just sitting watching when you said you would end the video. I could quite happily have kept watching for another half hour, listening to your relaxing voice chatting away. I’m sorry your Patrion didn’t work out but that’s life, I guess. Keep up the great work you do on the regular YT channel, it’s very much appreciated by me as well as many others I’m sure. While you’re going into the busy growing season we’re experiencing some fresh winter weather and will be lucky to see anything over 20 c for the next couple of days. Thanks for sharing your repot & chat today, I enjoyed Watching & listening.
The background music is like the ones they play at spas. So soothing.
Would like a video on propagation please?
Fue una muy buena cosecha!!, te felicito, un detalle , las semillas plantalas a mayor profundidad para que las nuevas papas no se asoleen y crescan tóxicas , pero aun asi es muy buena cantidad 😊😊
I found this plant and immediately bought it! The silvery leaves are just beautiful. Thank you for the update!
Beautiful, calming video ❤
Love my moisture meter,it was a game changer for me.
I love love love that you have this as a memento from your wedding ❤ and it grows with your marriage!
13 mins in and I got so nervous watching you take that old branch out of the pot to put the new one in!
A stunning philodendron. I would never have done this alone, for fear of it snapping on me. YOU are a brave soul. 💕🌿 *I had to return to ask: is that a plastic pot?? I can not tell...
What a STUNNING specimen Amy! And to have such special memories to this beauty I can understand why you’ve never chopped her. I wish you many long years with her!
Such a beautiful plant 👌👌
Fantastic
