I have a Z6III and love it honestly, I think the DR 'issue' is a bit over blown, but to each their own. I've been using it for about 1.5 months now, I've made three videos with it and taken some fantastic photos...I'm quite happy with it.

In a couple of months...I was going to get the Sony fe200-600/5.6-6.3 but...lately I have been seriously considering spending a bit more for the Sigma 500/5.6 for Sony...mostly due to its size...I am not much of a birder...but I love everything else...Now days mostly street here in Bangkok.. .(Cheers from a retired American living in Bangkok) ...Boats...Planes...trains...people etc

No weather sealing on the Leica. Sensor dust vacuum. Might as well get the Canon R50 with the Sigma 18-50 2.8. Save a couple hundred. Use the R50 as webcam as well.

Sure, a micro 4/3 beats an APSC. And the Leica is more expensive than the x100vi. Go for the Leica 😂

I recently switched from a7riii to a7cii. The lens that got the biggest boost in af speed was the 135 gm. Now when I take photos of kids in motion almost 90% are in perfect focus. The quality is second to none.

Yeah I'll stick with my GFX thanks sorry I wouldn't buy 24 megapixel camera in 2024 that gives you no cropping ability and has terrible low light performance sorry.... Actually not sorry at all given the price of this camera. It is way overpriced for the specification that delivers frames per second is rubbish. I can shoot bird Photography with five frames a second because I'm a good photographer. If you learn the right technique you don't need a camera with 20 frames a second!

I currently have a Sony A7RV which I think is great. I've been thinking about buying their 400mm 2.8, but when this Fujifilm 500mm lens came out it got me thinking like why not buy the GFX100s II + 500mm 5.6 which equals €9500, which is still cheaper than the 400mm 2.8 from Sony which sells for €12000. Any reason not to do it? Probably low light performance, but I assume because it's medium format the sensor can handle noise even better.

What is good , Sigma 50mm 1.2 or Sigma 85mm 1.5 ?

The last Fuji X100 I had was a T which I sold. I bought a DL-7 to replace a broken Fuji X70, and now I have a DL-8. Each has its own characteristics, and they are really as different from each other as can be. As an "other Leica" owner, the DL-8 UI is familiar and as good, but I would like at least 2 DL-7 features back in the DL-8 i.e. stepped zoom setting and focus lock. Leica seem to have a thing about the latter and I doubt we'll see it back in any future firmware update.

Price aside, the ability to shoot wide to medium telephoto makes this type of compact a much more useful alround EDC option imo. The increased resolution (on paper) of fixed lens alternatives like x100’s & GR’s is largely redundant in real world usage, being as mid tier spec cameras have been able to produce decent size prints for twenty years or more.

We enjoyed popping all the great UK creators together for you last year, we wanted Pav up there too as he is awesome but sadly we couldn't get extra chairs 😥 Everyone can watch the creator round table over on our channel now

Thanks for this very fair review. I think a lot of camera reviewers misjudge this camera. I think Leica had a good sense of what the market wants right now. Sadly its sold out just like it's compact camera competitors right now LOL I just hope Leica adds the D-Lux to their Leica Looks they have for Q and SL. I think most people who use those cameras shoot RAW anyways, and the D-Lux would be perfect for Looks that people who shoot JPG can use.

I have the same camera and love it. In fact in made me realize that much of the features in a camera like the Nikon Z9 ( which I own ) are not required for great images. Its the photographer and getting out and trying and improving and reevaluating. That is difficult with a camera that is limited in how often you can use it. Its great for wild life and fast moving subjects if you become adept at using all the auto focus and auto detect features. I have found that all the buttons and configuration possibilities make its use much more suited to pros. The menu system of the M11p is easy and simple to navigate, the weight of the body and lens are great for me. Yes its expensive and so are the lens but it will last for ever and not be feature obsolete in 6 months.

Only if you think your self of a posh type that need to follow an expensive hype !!!

Hello, have you tried the sigma 18-50 2.8 for the Canon R7? I currently use the Canon 17-55 2.8 with an adapter for the R7 and I don't know if the change is worth it, the weight is less but in terms of quality and performance? good video!
