Key Leaves' Gap Cap is GREAT!
Просмотров 9684 года назад
In this video, we're checking out Key Leaves' Gap Cap. It acts as a regular end plug while letting the horn get some extra air into it so that it dries out better after you've played. However, the BEST part of it is its' ability to help your horn to not move as much around your case, preventing maintenance issues! the strength of the reed and tip opening on shiva?
The NPG Hornz were..and still ARE...FUNKY! Nuff said.
This is seriosly the best baritone sax sound i've ever heard!!!!!
Good morning bro the background music is unnecessary and it's also too loud . It sounds as though you are fighting with it. People want to enjoy your video not battling to distinguish between what you are saying and the music.
Yes. More like this, please.
The background music is NOT helpful. It doesn’t add anything and it’s distracting to you valuable video.
What kind of reed are you playing?
I been thinking of buying one of these. Can I ask you. What is the difference between the influence and the other 66R . Custom .
You should review the new Dickerson Resonator Ligature on Reverb & ebay a ligature resonator
Seriously thinking about adding this to the PMB 300 UL I currently have. The Low Bb on the 300 UL is fine, but it just does not have the full-bodied darkness/warmth of the 302. Now, if only I can find one used!
Muy buena demostración...saludos desde Cuba!!
Great sound which mouthpiece do you use in this recording ?
Nice tone Bro! That mouthpiece / horn combination suits you well.
I like the look of low bb more because it looks more like a pitched down tenor saxophone rather than a wannabe bass saxophone
Nice sound by the way
Use vandoren green?
Thank you so much. I have been trying to find a demo of the horn with someone who could play it.
How will intonation be with the Durga V bari mouthpiece on a 1940ish Conn bari sax?
I don't know that I would say a Yamaha and Keilwerth's have a simular bore. I own both and the Keilwerth has a bigger and darker sound.
Thanks Adrian! Getting one!
The legere sounds a lot darker than the Alta to us on our side
love it. a little different from my hard rubber meyer tru-flex from the 30s -)
Where can I find a Durga in that color. Black Charcoal?
Super !
Very informative this is a very good review of the BG ligature!!
What kind of horn?
Thank you for sharing this video! I just found a Durga 3 art mpc so excited!!
Hello :)
What tip opening did you use?
👍
Thank you for this wonderful video. I ordered the Vintage Jazz reeds after seeing that. Greetings from Germany 🇩🇪!👍
Love the blue mpc sound
Hi Master. I want to buy Theo Wanne Durga (metal). But I don't know if better 3 or 4? Which one is easier to play? Thank you for the information and recommendations. THANKS
Great sound fantastic horn
Hi how are things. What reed do I use in the black plastic durga?
Beautiful bari sound. The low B flat baris sound better imo. It’s a truer sound where low a sound nasal because the extended narrower bell.
I don't know if the keys resonate better, but they feel really good to my fingers, and look spectacular.
It would sure be a lot easier to see what you're doing if you didn't have a black shirt on.
No need for expensive gadgets. Just put a folded piece of cloth under the bow. Problem solved
Does it have resistance when you play it or are there free blowing aspects to that piece? Sounds great 👍🏼
It would have been informative, had you played both the Classic & the Jazz versions of the reeds. Also, that background music was up a bit much, making it difficult to clearly hear what you were saying.
I like the mellow sounding rose gold on alto. I recently switched to a Vandoren AS 5 +
you sound great! Id like to get a BG duo - seems very flexible and you get a variety of sounds from traditional to modern
I’ve been practicing, jamming, and performing daily on the same Alta Jazz 2 alto for FOURTEEN months with no detectable degradation. Incredibly beautiful reed! I’ve never found ‘the’ Legere, and I’ve tried them all, including the American Cut. I played Fibracell for years but the Silverstein has replaced everything, including cane. Also having good success with the 2 tenor. We’re all different, I am not dark on my setups.
I'm about to order an Alta Jazz 2 for my tenor. I mostly play pop rock. Is it bright enough? I'm currently using Fibercell 3.5 with my set up.
@@Joel-ud3yj sorry- just saw this. I like Fibracells a lot, though I've found them inconsistent. Several have been a might too bright for me. I think you'll like the Altas. They hit a sweet spot.
Great review thank you Sir
Dont know what it is about Keilwerth horns. I always like the sound no matter who is playing or what mouthpiece/reed was used. SX80 or MKX. A little more often than when I hear a Selmer-Paris VI or Reference 36 or 54, Over Yanagisawa's, and the madse in Taiwan brands. Not that people I heard play them couldn't get good tones. I just have preferred the "Keilwerth sound"...maybe the geometry is different enough? Something in their sauce in Germany? :)
I'll pass! Not liking the tone. I'm trying to find the mouthpiece like Steve Lacy would have used.
Noone cares about you or what you want!! You didn't have to comment at all
@@mambojazz1 Freedom to comment my friend. You're quite sensitive :)
@@PepperWilliams_songcovers The tone comes from the player though. You kind of insulted him for no reason. I guess you are right. Freedom to insult yea🤣
@@mambojazz1 I wasn't trying to insult anyone. I was just expressing my feeling concerning his tone. Yeah, I didn't care for his tone, but there are many saxophonists tone that I don't care for (Kenny G, and David Sanborn to name just two). I'm sure that there are those saxophonist, that their tone may offend you? Are you saying that one shouldn't comment on that, or anything , if there are negative connotations towards it? Hell, I get plenty of people telling me that a lot of my music that I compose sounds like "elevator music", which doesn't bother me at all. I actually enjoy elevator music. Go back in time to many of the critics of certain classical GIANTS, including one of the greatest, Igor Stravinsky. Concerning his masterpiece, "The Rite of Spring", one critic said that it was a bunch of noise, made no musical sense, a work of a madman, etc., Go listen to jazz artists like Albert Ayler, John Coltrane (avant grade years), Thelonius Monk and many more. People said that it was not musical, all noise etc., Is this considered an insult to these composers and players, or, are they just expressing freedom to comment, to express one's opinion, negative or positive? You will find this in all genres and walks of life! One last thought, go to my channel and you're welcome to comment (negative or positive), on my tone, my arraignments, my compositions etc., You might even subscribe? Have a great day :) Here's the link: ruclips.net/video/gooi98mFUU4/видео.html
@@PepperWilliams_songcovers Calm down bro 🤣! Noone reads comments as long as yours on RUclips. He is NOT a smooth jazz player he is simply showing what the mouthpiece can do.
They need to make one for a curved soprano
Hello from Wilmington NC....
Tried to buy one. How do you order this from US? Can't checkout at Mister Music website. Any other dealer or distributor in the west?
Your sound was better on the Alta in my opinion.
