Adding a bit more to my comments from about a year ago. I was recently back in Singapore and decided to give the Woodlands/JB shuttle train a try. I digress for a moment here... Previously I had walked the lower two thirds of the Rail Corridor so decided to finish it off from Bukit Panjang to Woodlands. My advice, unless you want to be able to say you did the whole Rail Trail, don't waste your time on this final third. Lower two thirds, beautiful, upper one third, basically walking down a street surrounded by apartment buildings. Now back to the matter at hand. As the shuttle train now runs, what was the train station at the checkpoint is now active again and plenty of buses now run to it. Looking at "bus router . sg", spread out so that YT won't can this post, buses 170, 178, 856, 903, 911, 912 & 170 will drop you at the station bus stop. I've also walked to & from Kranji station to the checkpoint, about 2.5km, but should have gone to Marsiling station, only 1.6km. After you get to the bus stop at Woodlands, just follow the crowd up through Immigration/Customs and then head down to the bus level as usual. If you haven't done the shuttle train, and have an afternoon spare, it's worth it, so you can say you have :) Walk across in the morning, lunch/shopping in JB then catch the shuttle back. Worse ways to spend the day ;)

I am a 60-year-old senior citizen. On May 25, at 3:50pm, I went to Koufu in Loyang Point Mall with my wife to eat. We carefully read the menu at a western food stall and decided to order food. I gently pressed the bell, and a young Malay man who was queuing to buy drinks at the beverage stall next to us shouted at us to wait! He then returned to his stall; his stall clearly had a big sticker stating that CDC vourchers were accepted, but he said in a fierce manner, "CDC vourchers are not accepted!", and impatiently asked me to pay before I had completely ordered the food! When he prepared the food, I was queuing to buy drinks next to him, and he kept banging the bell with a very bad attitude to ask me to get the food! My wife quickly went to get the food. After I bought the drink, I went back to ask for the receipt. He came out of the kitchen and yelled at me fiercely, "What do you want?" I told him that I wanted a receipt. He raised his middle finger to me fiercely and said, "fuck you!" Then he went back to the kitchen without giving me a receipt! Koufu stalls often have very bad staff. This almost crazy staff not only makes people not want to dine at Koufu again, he even threatens the safety of the public! I reasonably suspect that he is very unhappy with his job, and I was the only Chinese customer at the time, and I was an elderly person who looked very gentle, so he took out his anger on me! I have been to many restaurants, and my experience is that only Koufu has so many problematic staff! Moreover, the steak he cooked was like a piece of gum, not like food for people to eat! 我是一位60岁的年长人士，5月25日，下午 3:50 和妻子到 Loyang Point Mall 的 Koufu 吃东西。我们在一家西餐摊位仔细看了菜单后决定点食物，我轻轻的按了下铃，旁边饮料摊位一位正在排队买饮料的马来年轻人很凶的喊我们等等！之后他回到摊位；他的摊位很明显的贴着大大张贴纸注明接受 CDC vourchers,可是他竟然很凶的说 “CDC vourchers 不被接受！”，而且很不耐烦的在我没有完全点完食物前就不断的向我要付款！当他准备好食物后，当时我正在旁边排队买饮料，他的态度非常恶劣的不断大力拍打铃声要我去拿食物！我的太太赶快去把食物领了。 我买了饮料后，回去向他要收据，他从厨房走出来，非常凶狠的向我高喊 “你要什么？”，我告诉他，我要收据，他凶狠的向我竖起中指并说： “fuck you!”，然后就回去厨房里，没有给我收据！ Koufu 的摊位时常有非常恶劣的工作人员，这位近乎发疯的工作人员，不但使人不想再到 Koufu 用餐，他甚至威胁到公众的安全！我合理的怀疑他对自己的工作很不爽，而我是当时唯一的华人顾客，而且是看起来很斯文的年长者，所以他就拿我来发泄脾气！我去过很多餐厅，我的经验是只有 Koufu 才有这么多问题人员！并且，他煮的牛扒像块树胶，不像是给人吃的食物！
