Hi Alina, well done! I consider myself quite lucky because my maternal grandparents lived in Lublin district and they immigrated here to the US in 1910. Unfortunately many of my grandmothers extended family stayed and were never heard from again after Sept 1st 1939. Keep up the good work and keep history preserved for young people.

In Chișinău, Moldova, the overgrown ruins of the large Jewish Quarter, synagogue, and cemetery are still there. My young great-grandmother emigrated with her family in 1910 after the local pogroms, and before the early 40s, when the Nazi Wehrmacht and EinsatzGruppe “D” cleared out & eliminated most of the remaining Jewish community, including cousins & relatives of my great-grandmother’s family. RIP. My great-grandmother eventually raised her family in Hawaii, and died at over 100 years old. RIP, Rosa Yarashafskya.

Interesting how the Poles to this day don't refer to the Polish Jews that were murdered as Poles, just as Jews or the Others. On other other hand, they mention that 6 million Poles died in WWII but never mention that half of them were Jews. The Poles also conveniently forget to mention the lack of assistance during the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising. For almost 30 days, Jews in the Ghetto fought the Germans until they ran out of bullets and food.

But it is a great suggestion to return by yourself a second day to take your time and to see even more.
