I had a platform setup once and for only one trip. It was a PITA. I saw a video of the DeepSleep camping mattress that is custom made for each vehicle. It's self inflating and really comfortable. When done using it, I just stand it up on it's side and pack everything else in before leaving. No frames needed and more headroom when sleeping.

I personally just enjoy the outdoors and fresh air, if it's snowing or pouring rain I'll definitely regroup but I don't prefer sleeping in a vehicle without the window at least cracked. Camping is an experience, once you start to change it I don't feel like it's even camping anymore 🤔 but to each their own, the main thing is get out there and enjoy it and take all your trash out when you leave 😎
