This song always tugged at my little 8 year old heart.

This scene always brings all the hairs up on my body. They deleted it because of the time factor. But it's scenes like this that made sure that our generation grew up with a softer side to our hearts. This is why this younger generation is hard inside.

I never heard of this song until I was listening to Gilbert Gottfried's podcast one day.

Please tell me I’m not the only person who enjoys this song every year when Christmas comes around! It’s one of my all time favorites and yet I have two older siblings that laugh at it finding it so creepy.

My wife bought this today and was my first time watching it. Ya, this video is trippy as heck, haha. But the song itself is ok. That “Sit on my lap” song is wild though! Not surprised it got cut from the broadcast version.

This song was just so corny to me when I watched it every Xmas during the '70s. Being much older now, and perhaps(?) a bit wiser, I can really appreciate the context and deeper meaning this song/lyrics could only be truly appreciated by the parents watching this with their kids. The song's style is also somewhat emblematic of when this Christmas special was originally released (+/- @ 1970).

This song and the visuals are why I love 60s songs so much.

Fortunately I grew up with the VHS so I got the full experience. 💕 This was and still is my favorite Xmas special. It makes me yearn for those good Christmas' from when I was a kid and still believed in the magic. This was always my fav part of the movie and the movie had great music and songs altogether.

The description specifies this and If You Sit On My Lap Today as being removed from the broadcast version. How about retail versions, though? I have a box set of a bunch of Christmas classics and both are still there in that version, but do they still let them stay in the retail releases?

This song is one of my favorite songs and I love this scene when she sings this I don't understand why don't understand why they cut it out of the cartoon I don't understand the only reason I watched the cartoon news because of the song.
