    Sir how to generate ideas in writing tasks please give any suggestions ❤❤❤❤

    • @EnglishMende
      @EnglishMende 7 дней назад

      Here are some steps you can use to generate ideas: 1. Read the question: Understand what is being asked before you start. 2. Plan your answers: Think of simple ideas you can develop into full points. 3. Use personal experience: Include your own stories or experiences related to the topic. 4. Make up ideas if needed: If you're unsure, create ideas related to the topic. The test checkers will only assess your task achievement, vocabulary, grammar, and how well you connect sentences and ideas.

    What band score do you think this essay can get?

    • @EnglishMende
      @EnglishMende 14 дней назад

      Honestly, in this video, I’m focused on showing people the strategy and structure for Writing Task 2. This sample writing would probably score around a 6.5 or 7 band. If you want to improve your score, you should work on enhancing your vocabulary, making it more advanced and varied.

    Sir how to write as a result or close paragraph Please tell mee❤❤❤❤❤

    • @EnglishMende
      @EnglishMende 16 дней назад

      ‘As a result’ is used to show the outcome or consequence of something that has been mentioned earlier in the paragraph. For example: Many workers work late at night to accomplish tasks, and it frequently causes them to be stressed. As a result, their health deteriorates, and their work performance declines. Stating the result of points in a paragraph is a great way to clearly connect cause and effect, helping readers understand how one situation leads to another. I think I will cover this lesson in the next video.

    minor slips, "allow for" in the 2nd paragraph means to consider sth, not to give permission. In this case to avoid repetition of the word, we can also use "enable' in the previous sentence and allow sb to do sth in the next; "demand' should be singular in the conclusion part. Thank you for sharing this useful video!

    Why it is said sweets instead of sweet while candy is said candy?

    • @EnglishMende
      @EnglishMende 2 месяца назад

      @@ceupapaw4032 In American English, "candy" is usually treated as an uncountable noun. For example, you might say, "I have some candy." In British English, "sweets" is a countable noun. For example, you would say, "I have some sweets" or "I have a sweet." This difference in countability is a key distinction between the two terms.

    but like some of these examples are just different things, apartments and flats arent the same. Nor is a bathroom and a toilet.

    • @EnglishMende
      @EnglishMende 2 месяца назад

      "Apartment" (American English) and "flat" (British English) both mean a self-contained housing unit in a building. "Bathroom" and "toilet" differ by region. In American English, "bathroom" includes a toilet, sink, and usually a bathtub or shower. In British English, "toilet" refers to the room with the toilet, while "bathroom" may refer to a room with a bath or shower.

    • @EnglishMende
      @EnglishMende 3 месяца назад

      In standard British English, 'tomato' is pronounced /tə-MAH-toh/ with a pronounced 'T.' The idea of a silent 'T' isn't typical for this word. However, there can be variations and regional accents that might influence how words are pronounced.

  • @tarmox2490

    I hate it when I say advertisement /ad-vur-tis-ment/, people tell me that I pronounce it wrong. I'm like that's not the only pronunciation for that word. People need to know that there are sometimes multiple ways to pronounce a word.
