I wouldn’t be surprised if some of his appearances were based on Arnold LOL. Grimoire of Souls does make that "physical muscle head" aspect a part of his character, which I will also delve into a bit in the next video, but I appreciated his characterization more and more there. Really well done. He also champions Richter Belmont as the strongest when they speak together. Very supportive. If Simon WAS stronger I think he would be too humble to admit it 😆

@@StockeTepes I do believe he is definitely humble, sort of like Arnold when he meets people too, he always encourages people to work out but also praises them. Everyone that meets him have expressed this from Arnold, so I wouldn't think that they didn't add this on Simon without considering this trait. To me Simon needs more love, although the 5th in the Belmont line, he was the very first Belmont character that started the Castlevania franchise, and I would definitely love to see him being humble like in the Grimoire game in contrast to his ancestors and descendants regular A-hole attitude that has been shown in the series.

That’s certainly how it feels sometime 😂 Netflixvania Trevor isn’t THAT bad compared to some portrayals in the show… but I think my appreciation for mainline game Trevor specifically has grown and grown over the years.

That would be fun! A lot of what Portrait of Ruin was setting up was obviously intended to lead into directly into 1999, and I have always seen Stella and Loretta play some kind of role in that time period. Maybe that could be their contribution to the story!

The Radio Drama and this light novel are both canon to Koji Igarashis Castlevania timeline, having both been supervised by him!

The opening cinematic? That’s can be viewed on the home menu of the game after waiting for a moment 🙂 Although is much easier to find on RUclips and now in HD with the Dominus Collection finally. All the openings for the DS titles are beautiful tbh

@@JDragon272 I could definitely believe a lot of the Egyptian like connections Castlevania has throughout the series could relate to Galamoth in some way! The god he’s based on, Sobeck, absolutely was an influence in his design for example. I wonder if we got to see more of Galamoth in the series if it would’ve shown even more connections?

I’d recommend my video on the subject if you’d like to see what the original creators had in mind! But personally I wouldn’t want Netflix to touch the subject until a game is made. It’s too special and specific to fit into that continuity, which is now its own thing entirely.

It’s an interesting theory! Only problem is Kid Dracula takes place in the FAR ahead future after absolutely everything in the franchise, 10,000 years after Symphony of the Night to be precise. The amount of time travel and destruction Galamoth and the Time Reaper were doing with the timeline all to exact revenge for his defeat in that distant future was immense especially in something like Castlevania Judgment. Although I can see many stories happening in that time period you mentioned, kind of like what the Netflix series explored. Lisa traveling to heal the people while Dracula walks the earth to travel and learn. It’s one of the few things I think the show presented as very compelling.

@@StockeTepes In the future? I don't think. I think Galamoth time traveled in the past to try to take down Dracula. It would make sense that he choose to attack the Prince of darkness during the time when he wasn't as evil as in the futur, when he still had a wife and a child with him...only for the child to deal with him all by himself. I don't think Dracula would still have a family in the future.

I wouldn’t disregard a characters feat completely just because they had help, it’s just more impressive to see them having accomplished something alone within the context of a power scaling debate. From a narrative perspective having help does wonders for the overarching themes of Castlevanias story 🥲 Richter did canonically fight alongside Maria too.

@@StockeTepes I know richter had help with Maria. Played rondo enough times😁 Still think it’s richter, but it’s all up to personal debate. We all have our reasons to say who’s the strongest. I just say it’s richter cuz he’s a pain to beat in portrait of ruin. Julius is kinda easier, for a second to last boss. There is no, who’s stronger cuz everyone has their own opinion. I do prefer the having help. It makes the story more interesting. 100% was begging for Trevor to join hector during curse of darkness. 😢 it never happened

@@StockeTepes here’s an idea that they could of done. They could have had hector meet Trevor and sypha. Let’s be honest, she’s not letting her new husband out of her sight, not on his own. If you put her personality from judgment and the Netflix show into consideration that makes sense. Then have the pair beat up hector upon their first meeting. The girls camp out at Julia’s shop. While the guys rush off Then when the two return, have special dialog after you beat a boss. Similar to mina in aria. She give a new line of speech every time soma beats a boss (believe, not sure if it’s every time) Just a fun little way to add some more stuff to an older game.

Essentially Dracula and Chaos, like the Gods of Chaos in Warhammer 40K are powered by our own evil thoughts here on Earth. Both the forces of Chaos and Dracula are enabled to invade our universe from their parallel universe by the accumulation of our evil psychic energy. Count Dracula’s Castle was made a living creature with psychic powers of its own by the Chaotic Realm. This has happened in the spin-off books and stories set in the Warhammer 40K Universe, going into the Warp is both a way to travel faster than light, but without the protection of a Gellar Field, where powerful psychic energies from Psikers (Telepaths or Magic Users in Warhammer 40,000) your mind and body is under assault from the evil psychos energies of the Warp and the Demons of Chaos. On more than one occasion, vessels have gone unprotected into the warp and come back out destroyed or given an evil demonic life of their own via demonic possession. Very similar to how Dracula’s Castle comes back. And Castlevania, or Dracula’s Castle, came back from Hell or the Chaotic Realm both a living creature and evil. Dracula’s Castle has psychic powers, channeling energy into the undead, and even performed psychic attacks such as Alucard hallucinating that zombies were Trevor, Sypha, and Grant because the Castle was casting illusions into Alucard’s mind. Alucard does not have a PSiker like in Warhammer 40,000, so he had to just deal with hallucinating the nightmare of his dead friends’ corpses fighting him. All from the powers of The Castle itself. Chaos in Dawn of Sorrow, the diety over all evil, has four heads. That’s a curious number considering that there are four prime Gods of Chaos in Warhammer 40,000. What if Chaos in Castlevania split into four Gods? This would be further supported by how war and massive death on Earth fuels the Chaotic Realm in Castlevania. Also put in mind the wars of the Grim Dark Future are trillions of deaths, making WWI or WWII into child’s play. More energy to fuel evil and then, Chaos could split four ways.

I take this to mean that Henry Cavil is canon to Castlevania 😌

The Morris Clan will be interesting to include in a debate like this. John and Johnathan are both quite powerful. Quincey too although we never see his strength for ourselves. I imagine Johnathan was the most talented among them seeing how he’s the most versatile weapon user in the entire series.

The best Belmont 😆

It would be interesting to see the Belmonts strength with some limitations like without their gear or whips yes. Someone like Juste would excel in that.

I’m happy to see a lot of people make the case for Christopher too, he’s the most underrated "mainline" Belmont we play as but his accomplishments are undeniable. Even in the lore people like Simon look up to Christopher as he had become more renowned than even Trevor during his lifetime.

Richter and Julius are both stated to be the strongest Belmonts throughout the series, even in the same game such as Grimoire of Souls 😆

They censored it more than a few times lol, if I’m not mistaken it’s completely missing in the Castlevania Anniversary Collection. The mini boss still gets the point across tho 😆 Kid Dracula standing up for justice thankfully… now that’s a ruler of the Neatherworld I can get behind

In the bad ending of the Sorrow games? Yes, although we never see who the victor is in Aria of Sorrow 👀 I wonder if Julius kept his promise there specifically.

@@StockeTepes No, I mean in the best ending XD I lost to him 4 times, because previous bosses were a pushover, even Chaos was, yet, Julius took me 4 tries.
