My '69 XLCH needs a lot of fuel to get started. My starting routine with a Bendix carb is, retard magneto, 6 shots of fuel, hold down the kill button and kick it easy till it comes up on compression then release the kill button and she starts on one or two kicks. They can be finicky for sure.

being where your at,,with those compression numbers..I,de go back to check push rod Adj. first.. then recheck compression... ..if no better on compression check keep updates comming

Yes SL recovery is deeper but is very succeptable to EMI. I recommend starting out sensitivity at 60 thresh hold at 9 and bring it down until it cuts out then run sensitivity up until it starts chattering
