Those mechs and aircraft were pretty cool. The whole planet and nature/creatures etc. was pretty neat. Just wish the movie's script was better.

In movies where an outside alien race decides to kill off major populations of people, humanity roots for our own survival, which is well reasoned. However, when humanity takes another species by force, we say that humanity is 'higher than'. So, with all of this destruction and terror, even if this is for humanity's livelihood, do we truly deserve to go on in this way when we find it unjust for another race to do so?

This kind of thinking might get us all killed if we piss off the wrong guys like say a race as ancient and advanced as the necrons. Also, what wrong with negotiating and trading with aliens? The Imperium you guys seem to like does that occasionally either directly or through rogue traders with some of the more cooperative races like the Tau, Stryxis, Jokero, kroot, and even some Eldar.
It's this kind of thinking that made us the dominant species on earth. What makes you think a species powerful enough to beat us won the competition for resources in their own home planet any other way? The imperium occasionaly trade and cooperate, sure. But at the end of the day, it's humanity first. Same with the eldar or anyone else. Eldars would sacrifice an entire human world to save one of them.
@@bruh-ni1fy I think more working with each other and our intelligence got us through the Stone Age. Maybe other species were carnivorous that did do what you say. Maybe others evolved from a herbivorous species that used technology and being in harmony with the environment to get by. Also you only addressed the Eldar not the other races. You also never said what is wrong with working with xenos in a non 40k context. Some trade and diplomacy would be good.

I think most species would be in the middle. Also you never addressed what happens when we actually encounter a bigger. We would be defeated and if they don’t eliminate us and they just reduce us or even annex humanity that would definitely humble us. I just think realistically if we take an actual unironic belief in hfy and that humans are the best to the stars it either get us all killed or kicked down by a bigger fish. I'm tired of movies where humanity are only depicted as scary when the creatures, beings of other races or even the monsters are put on the role of a victim in the story, turning humans into actual heartless creatures. I wanna one day see a work where the monsters are actually fucking scary at first, but slowly get to realize that humans are badass and can be scary due to how fast we evolve and how indomitable our spirit is.
