Car Spotting in Detroit!
Driving around random neighborhoods looking for interesting and weird cars is one of my favourite things to do, and there’s no better for it than Motor City. Abandoned buildings everywhere and tons and tons of old cars in various states of disrepair. This video just scratches the surface of what Detroit has. Enjoy!

Exploring a 100 Year Old Junkyard! Full of Classics From the 1930s-1970s!
Просмотров 17 тыс.Месяц назад
Exploration of Jackson’s Auto Wrecking in Kendal, ON. As I’m posting this, the yard will be closing for good in two weeks (Nov. 30th 2024) and most inventory will simply be crushed. Sad because there are still a lot of good parts in the yard even though many of these cars have been there for 70 years If you’re gonna visit, they’re open Thursdays Fridays (9am-4pm) and Saturdays (9am-1pm) I’m awa...

1994 Chevrolet Cavalier VL Start Up & Images
Просмотров 1,1 тыс.4 года назад
This is a pretty well-kept, but rusty 1994 Chevrolet Cavalier I've been seeing around town for years, and recently came across it in the used car lot at a local Hyundai dealer. It has 130k km, and I am lead to believe that the elderly lady who I always saw driving it was the original owner. The start up clip (unfortunately at night) was taken in the week preceding the date of upload, and the pi...
Junkyard Tour: 2003 Pontiac Aztek Base

Reasonably clean Aztek with only 130k km. Mediocre spec without any interesting features.

Correction: I refer to it in the video as an XLT Sport, which, as the title, and the lack of power features suggests, is incorrect

Quick tour of a rust-free, low mileage 1995 Chevrolet Corsica
River P6 at 26:51!
I think the wagon / estate at 25:10 is either a Standard or a Triumph. Thank you for documenting this yard.
Came close to my house on the north side of 8 mile.....your video made my day!
Hopefully Michigan gets the boost it needs with Trump back in the Whitehouse! Some cool finds.
Shame they let all those parts rot like that
Very nice presentation of this rich collection of vehicles withdrawn from circulation: an incredible quantity of cars and a variety rarely seen: American, European, Japanese cars !! A few details: at 26:31 it is a Peugeot 304 station wagon, 26:13 an elegant white Rover 2200 TC is hidden, 33:43 it is indeed a blue Renault 12. A place which is really worth visiting !!
Yup..the old Montcom
I’d take the capris, and the studes
Yep that's stupid to smash those cars
This is what car manufacturers don't know how to do these days...build something that lasts!!!
thank you for taking your time and making a video of this place there is a lot of chrome and small parts that could be salvaged
Nice work. Fun. Thanks for
Wow ! like the chevrolet 15 CWT from WW2, always a pleasure to visit scrapyard, seems its me who are walking and discovering ! : )
International travel all , sitting beside 1955 Oldsmobile
Everything in that yard is rotten.
Most of that stuff is crusher ready, maybe a few doors or hoods could be reused, but most has suffered too long from Ontario winters before being parked there.
No Westy's?
Nice walk thro. Save something bro, Camaro or something worth money.
Any Corvairs
Those Chrysler and Olds wagons could be saved and that teal Ford wagon looked in good shape. Cool video, although I know had he not put most everything there it would have been crushed but seeing every single wagon especially the 65 chevy wagon there is saddening and I saw a brief view of a light blue 1st Gen chevy g10 van (64-66) on the next row you didn't go down. Hopefully someone uses some of the parts before everything is crushed
I have to commend you! You know your cars, you named everyone of them correctly and the years also, very good...... sad to see it all going with the "Good Old Days" 😧
Suicide door car early on is a rover p4 quite rare in canada, i have one ,wish it was closer.
You did a nice job of respectfully documenting Paul's yard. I've visited many times since my 20's, I'm 53 now. Paul was an interesting person to get to know, once you earned his trust. Thanks for taking the time to make this film. If you're interested in checking out another similar place, there's a yard called McLean's auto wreckers just outside Milton. A bit of a drive from T.O. but well worth the trip. I spent the day at Jackson's yesterday (November 15th) with one of my best friends, just wandering the whole yard and reliving old times.🙂
Ahh yeah I know of and love mcleans. I’m hopefully gonna get a chance to go and make a similar video before winter
@@AidanCristofaroyou just gotta go there an do it😊
Just left! Picked up some cool pieces. Great experience, thanks for taking the time for the video. Great job!
Just went through there yesterday it was a beautiful day to be out! Sadly, most of it's been rotting into the ground for years.
The two army trucks look like British Leyland
Those are what's known as CMP (Canadian Military Pattern) trucks. They were manufactured for the Allied forces to use during WW2. Like the original real military Jeeps, they were built by several manufacturers to meet military demand. There were at least one each of a Chevrolet and Ford manufactured one there on the premises, but likely more hidden. The Chevs were powered by an Chevrolet inline 6 cylinder engine, while the Fords got the ubiquitous flathead V-8.
@ fair play thank you
The crushers should be arrested!!!
I work for 'the crushers' company. We have been open for a month allowing people to come in and purchase what they want and what is salvageable. We have had well over 800 people through (some just even to take photos and relive old times), and these awesome people have saved a lot of parts and vehicles from being crushed. The stories and memories of the generations of families who have visited this yard are truly heartwarming! We aren't just going to crush everything, after the last day November 30th everything will be sitting until spring. Whatever is left in the woods that is salvageable will be brought up to the buildings and be put in the auction May 6th & 8th! Our hope is that there will be nothing remaining to crush other than what is actually scrap :)
Americans are such wasters!!!!
Need to put Biden in a straight jacket and take him here, set him straight!!!
I love those old cars!!
Biden hates everything here!!!
Probably everything that doesn't have bidens name on it, or tha t is not an EV !!!
The car at 5:13 is a 1956 Oldsmobile.
Its a shame most will be wasted...they all sat until just rusted junk. I don't think there is a handful of saveable cars there from what I saw...maybe small trim bits if that. I'm all about vintage parts and saving them but most is sadly scrap. Sitting for 40 years plus by the looks of things. That shed of stainless hub caps is impressive and they could be saved as they don't rust. Hope somethings are saved for the next generation.
My rat truck was bought from Paul Jackson 2 days before he passed away i bought a 47 Ford truck and grill from a 37 chrysler royal to build it Paul was a awesome guy was honored to meet him
They have it because they never wanted to sell anything just let it rot
In New Zealand we got Pontiac Laurentian's , from Canada in right hand drive.
Yard is open Thursday 9am -4pm Friday 9am - 4pm Saturday 9am - 1pm
to 2.44 the mercury breezeway must be saved......it has a nice interior
Yeah and lots of good bits on it. One of the nicest cars in the yard by miles
excellent vid i was there on the first day and i missed seeing some of the cars sooo much to look at kinda sad everything is going to be crushed BUT at least there is a chance to save some stuff
Aidan, do you know what they're going to do with that large property?
Real damn shame they are crushing these cars... so much rare vehicles that could've been restored What i'd do for that Lada Signet...
or the mercury breezeway with its nice intérior ...i hope someone saved it....
Great video, nice car, how many miles, owners and what is your asking price?
@@zachsouthard3986 I’m the second owner, $16500 CAD takes it. DM @aidancarspotter on IG for more info
And how many miles are on it and is there a maintenance record for it?
Lol cheapy ass ford ecoboost bullshit. Get a real car.
This minivan has the same design as the Oldsmobile Silhouette and the Pontiac Trans Sport
Hey brother! Congrats on your first 6-months with your ST! I have a 2015 ST3, have had it for almost years and I'll tell you this car does everything right and nothing wrong! I WILL say, you should look into modding your vehicle to really enjoy it. Get a cobb accessport, get a stage 1 tune and I promise you you'll love the car all over again. I got a 4-channel amp wired to the speakers to help with the interior speakers, they were TOO quiet for my liking, upgrading to ford sync 3 too (my year was the last year with sync2). A CAI, a stage 1 tune, a rear motor mount, and an exhaust will be all the mods you need, I promise you'll look at the car completely differently years down the line.
Wonderful review Sir!! I so love the look and sound of this vehicule! I will keep this in mind for my next car!!
My family had one of these and it's what I learned to drive in. Loved these! The styling aged well I think. It had a very useful and utilitarian interior. Very roomy! And the windshield wipers were so cool lol! They rode very smoothly and where very comfortable to drive.
That third row was all mine as a 90s kid! Pulling out all those seats to move stuff using the rear sucked though haha. But hell I learned how to drive in our family’s Dustbuster haha
You really know how to make a good video. Very informative.
