Thanks for the unboxing bid Glenn. I have seen the box about on Argos and Amazon and was always curious so it’s been good getting your opinion. Unfortunately I have not been able to Watch Music & Memories since it went off air. I am able to access it of course via ChannelBox and FreeView 271. It’s just I like to record the programmes broadcasted and save them until a later date when I can watch them. That hasn’t been possible since the channel moved to a streaming only service as you only have the option to watch what is currently on. It’s a shame as I was one of the biggest supporters of the channel as you know. Hopefully there shall be a way in the future to record the channel and programmes but until then I’m afraid I am just relying on my old recordings that I need to brush up on following a nasty hospital stay this year. Music & Memories shall remain a channel that I’ll simply have to leave for now until a recording function can be made or provided; though I’m not holding hope on that giving the technology and way the channel is shown. I understand the decision to step away from OFCOM TV broadcasting of FreeView, FreeSat & Sky - the figures Phil showed were ludicrous. I just can’t watch the channel without that recording function. It really is a shame as we had become a kind of family and it feels like we’ve disbanded in a sense. Like I say however I understand the decision. What does the colour of a man's skin have anything to do with either highlighting or undermining the tragic consequences of slavery? The Irish don't complain? I think you'll find that the treatment of the Irish by the British as well as in the Americas is a subject that is very much at the forefront of Irish identity, and understanding of one's heritage and history. Slavery is slavery. Whether people are enslaved, trafficked or taken advantage of en masse or simply because of their status is abhorrent, and it always was. Also.
