What differential u had on it before the upgrade? Was it the open 2.62 differential?

Yup all i run is royal purple. I mainly use it cause of the additive package it has. It cleans the engine way better than any other oil ive ever tried. I pulled the head cover off my engine and it looked like a mirror from that royle purple. Its like overkill type of clean. So like you said too, it wouldnt be one of the more expensive oils if it wasnt better in every way. You got all these clowns that always say that cheap oil you can use and it makes no difference, and they are correct a little bit but me personally i want the most quality oil in my car. Idc if its 10 dollars more for a better oil. Id rather pay that extra money then to buy a new engine from putting trash oil in it. And i do all my own oil changes too cause the mechanics nowadays they fuck it up.

Overheating is related to a failing water pump. Why it wasn’t done too is the bigger red flag.

If you are running dry on antifreeze and temps are getting super high, it’s your water pump on the engine. Your water pump is responsible for cycling your fluid around the engine the thermostat only opens and closes based on temp of the anti freeze on the block side. Also this engine is considered OAT compliant so find OAT antifreeze run with mopor oem if at all possible. It’s not cheap, $20 a gallon.

I baught a 9 drive throttle response and no more lag on my v6 sxt challenger.. all I have is a cold air intake and the 9drive throttle response. I keep up with any v8 at take off!!!!!!!!!

Bro, thank you so much. The over heating was driving me crazy, I just replaced the dang thermostat with the orileys one and it doing the same stuff when I press the gas. I love the penastar motor though. I'm getting the dang thermostat again

Hey Spiffy You should try to use a MITYVAC fluid extractor.. You put a small hose down the dipstick, and pump the oil right out. I never have to get under the car. I think I have the MITYVAC 7401, it’s the hand pump model. It actually sucks all the oil off the pan, better than draining by plug.
