    Hi, As someone who is a Christian who is PRO-LIFE and PRO-IVF I just wanted to clear some things up. However, I just want to state that I am not against you or what you do on your channel. I think it's very helpful and resourceful. There are a few things about IVF you have incorrect though. I also have questions for you? "The unhealthy embryos" you are referring to, the process you're describing doesn't happen when the baby is created. This selective process of quality only occurs when the woman's eggs have been retrieved before they are fertilized. No human life/ baby is aborted because the eggs are not fertilized yet. No one freezes their embryos indefinitely. 85% of women gone on to use all of their embryos. Because its not a process that works on the 1st try or even the 3rd try. How do you help women conceive who have no periods, doesn't ovulate or has pcos? How do you help women conceive who has or had cancer? How do you help women conceive who have low amh levels? (ovarian reserve,/eggs) There is no hate but It is important that we as women need to FULLY UNDERSTAND how IVF works before we demonize it. God can bring children into the world through any channel. A a woman who has pcos and does not ever get a period or ovulate, IVF is my only hope in conceiving my own natural child with my dna and my husbands. I would certainly prefer to do it the natural way but it doesn't work and I have tried for 7 years. IVF has it flaws and some women do it for the wrong reason but 95% of women are just trying to build a family because their bodies are failing them and they have tried everything else. I really hope you continue to look into IVF and how the process works and helps many women with irreversible problems that cant be helped any other way.

    • @TruthandFertility
      @TruthandFertility 4 месяца назад

      @AnissaJ.Thompson Thank you so much for your comment and questions! I am always open to learning more and want to make sure that I am always giving correct information, so thank you. Before I get into anything else, I just want to affirm your desire for children and that most people who go the IVF route do it because of this strong desire and with immensely good intentions! And you are completely right that God can bring life into the world in any channel. Also, as a woman with PCOS myself, I do want to give you hope that there IS another way other than IVF to have a baby. I have other videos on this (How I Naturally Healed my Fertility & Struggling with Infertility? There's Hope. are two that I recommend for you to watch for more information on that!). Please feel free to email me at truthandfertility@gmail.com if you want more guidance on that too - I would love to be of help to you and your husband. To address some of your concerns, unfortunately it is true that some of the conceived embryos are destroyed in the IVF process. This does not happen every time, but this is the process of "selective reduction" - the killing of live embryos either before or after they are placed within the woman's womb. IVF doctors may also have quality control over the eggs themselves (which you mentioned), but there is also this "quality control" or "quantity control" even after the eggs are fertilized, which are human lives. You are right that most women do use all the embryos (or have the intention to)! But we also know that there are many many freezers holding these unborn lives that may indefinitely be there (either due to parents no longer wanting the child, can no longer afford the IVF procedures, etc.). Could be a multitude of reasons, but we do know that not every human embryo that is conceived via IVF is implanted within the woman's womb. To answer your other questions, I do go into a lot of this in my Struggling with Infertility? There's Hope. video in which I talk about NaProTechnology. This is a woman's health science that looks at the root cause of why a couple may be experiencing infertility (PCOS being one of many possibilities) and heal it at the root in order to clear the path to pregnancy. And I do go into detail about how NaProTechnology doctors can treat PCOS in order to help the woman ovulate on her own and result in pregnancy in my recent video on PCOS (I am referencing my videos because I go into a LOT more detail there and this comment is already long ha!) Your question about cancer and low egg count - I actually do not know the full answer and I will do more research on this. Certainly a NaProTechnology doctor would know more than me on this topic since it goes beyond my scope (I teach women how to chart and then look for signs of possible anovulation, low progesterone, hormone imbalances, etc, but diagnosis is something that needs to be done by a doctor). If you are interested in looking for a NaProTechnology doctor, I recommend visiting fertilitycare.org to find one near you. Please don't hesitate to reach out via email with any further questions! I really appreciate your comment so I can better flesh out these ideas.

      @clairekozak7393 I'm so glad to hear you are on a NaPro journey! You are in good hands. I did not cut out whole grains and fruit. I mainly switched all of my eating to fresh produce, meat that was not frozen or pre seasoned (processed), and much less sweets. Before that, i was eating a whole lot of processed foods, rarely cooking anything from scratch. I now rarely buy pre-frozen meat or produce, and try to limit sweets. I also switched all of my breads and pastas to whole grain, while also trying to limit the amount of heavy carbs I was eating. But did I cut ALL sugar and carbs out 100%? Definitely not. Some women like to go on the Keto diet or Paleo diet, but I just found it difficult to cut everything out 100%.

      Hi there - I am fertilitycare practitioner, and also a functional medicine nurse with a lot of experience in both womens health, as well as having been a patient with chronic illnesses I had to figure out on my own, despite being a nurse in the mainstream which only made things worse by either major neglect and malpractice. Because I got so ill from various toxicities unaddressed, and being thrown antibiotics which only added to the problem, unaddressed and un-assessed trauma, hidden stealth infections, I'll tell you this with prayer and care: going to a primary general practitioner, gynecologist or any one (IVF is not advised as it not only fails to address the actual problem which I can't emphasize enough, and they give nonspecific reasons which are not reasons -big business, and a dirty one at best, but they also make the issues worse because what this video while great, I'll add or further elaborate that when something is going wrong with your hormones (whether difficulty conceiving, difficulty with your menses like bleeding so much it causes anemia, or fatigue, mood changes, etc or trouble holding onto pregnancies, etc) , it is a sign of things going on elsewhere in the body. I love Creighton model, and I use it as well as teach it, but I'm also thankful for having functional medicine roots which takes things one step deeper so it's a whole package and I'm glad to be able to put it all together .Sometimes endometriosis is parasitic and so cleaning that up, will prevent even surgery. If you'd like more information before taking the step to talk to a doctor, please feel free to email me, my name is Jennifer and my email is jacRN777@gmail.com. I hope you made some progress in the journey since you posted this, and if not, please feel free.

    My husband and I have been TTC for 3 1/2 years. I'm 31, he's 32. I've had HSG's, bloodwork several times, ultrasounds, everything looks normal. My husband also got his semen analysis and everything seemed normal. I've had 2 HSGs he's had 2 semen analysis's. The only thing that doesn't seem normal to me is that my temp runs high during my follicular phase. I still get my temp rise during my luteal phase but I've addressed my high temps to my Dr's in the past and they don't really seem to have an answer. I've tried chiropractors, acupuncture and mercier therapy as well and really feel like I'm running out of options. We have also made diet changes to stay away from sugars and highly inflammatory foods and oils. Do you ever see woman with high temps during their follicular phase and what is usually advised to them if so? Thank you

    • @TruthandFertility
      @TruthandFertility 7 месяцев назад

      @VeronicaMarce thanks so much for your comment and I am so sorry for your struggles with getting pregnant. It seems like you’ve been doing all the right things but just getting no answer. My next suggestion to you would be to seek out a NaProTechnology medical consultant (find one here: fertilitycare.org). I’ve briefly talked about NaPro but it stands for Natural Procreative Technology and it is a type of woman’s health science that looks for the underlying causes of not being able to conceive and uses medical and surgical approaches to heal the woman’s reproductive system. You can find a medical consultant near you and they would start by having you chart your cycles with the Creighton method of charting. From there, they would do whatever tests seem fitting and go from there. This is how I was able to conceive my kiddos, as I also struggled with reproductive issues. As for the high temps in the follicular phase, this would be your baseline temperature, and some women’s temps are just higher than others. As long as you are still having that temp rise after ovulation, you are still seeing a “biphasic temperature”. My next question to you would be what is the range of your temps in the follicular phase vs the luteal phase? Thanks again for your comment and feel free to email me (link in bio) with any further questions!!

    • @VeronicaMarce
      @VeronicaMarce 7 месяцев назад

      @TruthandFertility I usually fall between 97.5 and 97.9 and even 98. I read online that if your temp runs higher in the follicular phase it could "over mature your egg" in a sense. I've also had my thyroid tested and all came out fine. I looked for what you suggested and the only one near me seems to offer iui and ivf. But my husband and I did not want to go that route

I haven’t heard of a high temp pointing towards “over mature eggs”, although that’s not to say it’s not true. A more accurate way to determine if that’s what is happening is to get an ultrasound series test around the time of ovulation to make sure the egg is being released as it should be. I’ll check up on that link right now

      @VeronicaMarce fertilitycare.org is the correct link. (Make sure you put .org and not .com)If you put in your ZIP code, any of the places you will find should not offer IUI or IVF. You’re also welcome to send me an email of the place you’re looking at and I can help you navigate it.

    Thank you so explaining this so well and clearly. I’m suspicious that I have low progesterone, but I need to confirm it with tests. What kind of testing other than blood test can I request from my midwife’s office?

    • @TruthandFertility
      @TruthandFertility 8 месяцев назад

      Good question! The only test that I know that would confirm low progesterone is a blood test since it needs to be an exact measurement of the hormone. That would be a good question for your midwife to see if there are any other options. One thing to note is that many docs will test for progesterone around day 22 of the cycle, but that is assuming you have regular cycles (26-30ish days). If you have longer cycles, you may not have ovulated yet by day 22 which means progesterone wouldn’t be high yet. So it’s helpful to chart your cycle to know when ovulation happens so you get blood work done at the correct time (post ovulation). If you’re at all interested in charting, feel free to check out the links in the description of this video or shoot me an email (link in bio) and I would be happy to help you further!

    Wow, this was so helpful! I didn't know my body doesn't know if its pregnant until two weeks after ovulation. I knew it was a TWW but I didn't know that. SO interesting!! Thank you!

    This was so so helpful!!! I’ve never heard it explained this way and this in depth. Would you be able to cover if there are any supplements/vitamins that women should start taking when trying to conceive? Also, if there are any supplements that can help a woman to conceive if she is having trouble?

    • @TruthandFertility
      @TruthandFertility 8 месяцев назад

      I’m so glad!! Great suggestion, I’ll put it on the list for sure. Off the top of my head, Optivite is a great place to start. You can find it on Amazon. If a woman is having trouble conceiving though, I would tell her to probably see a NaProTechnology doctor (see link in video description), and start charting her cycle so she can pinpoint when ovulation is occurring to focus intercourse during that time. If you want more info on that, let me know and I can send!

    So if a woman has had a successful implantation, her cervical mucous should be dry until the day of the expected period date because of rise in progesterone? Am i right?

    • @TruthandFertility
      @TruthandFertility 8 месяцев назад

      Great question! So no matter whether a woman gets pregnant or not, her progesterone should rise right after ovulation, drying up her cervical mucus until her next period. If she is pregnant, then progesterone will stay high. If she is not pregnant, her progesterone will drop about 2 weeks after ovulation resulting in her next period. My next video will be all about progesterone so stay tuned!

      After ovulation the number one sign of pregnancy is your discharge with continue. For me it’s creamy discharge. I’ve had 3 planned pregnancy. If my discharge continues during the 2 week wait I know I’m pregnant way before getting a positive pregnancy test. Taking mucinex D will help produce more CM.

      Thanks for the clarification! During pregnancy many women still have cervical mucus due to high levels of estrogen in addition to progesterone. However, that mucus will probably be very different than the kind she sees around ovulation (creamy rather than super stretchy, clear, and slippery). And yes, mucinex does help increase cervical mucus!
