There are a lot of complaints these days about the crisis of higher education. Students don't real full books. Teachers have become propagandists. Race and gender concerns dominate. There are plenty of ways to use propositional systems to create formal languages that account for context sensitivity, such as those proposed by Grice’s conversational maxims or Leech’s pragmatics. These frameworks can capture intention and interlocutory force by modeling implicature and context-dependent meaning. However, modern transformers go beyond such formal systems by leveraging vast amounts of linguistic data to anticipate context and nuance through statistical training. In this sense, the linguistic "sensorium" that transformers model enables them to approximate intention and conversational force without explicit symbolic logic. This challenges the strict syntactic-semantic divide highlighted by Searle's Chinese Room argument. While the Chinese Room remains a compelling analogy for critiquing purely syntactic processing, the performance of transformers suggests that the line between syntactic manipulation and genuine understanding is more fluid than previously thought. The relationship now feels less like a definitive critique and more like a conceptual reference point for discussing evolving AI capabilities.

    All forms of authoritarianism are Left. You can't go down the opposite road and eventually come to the same destination. You either go Left(authoritarianism) or you go Right(towards Liberty).The only people who make it more complex than that are the statists who want to manipulate stupid people, hence stupid shit like "Muh four quadrants of the political spectrum", etc.

    While at it, you better apply both forms of mysticism. When a fish dives in the abyss, he needs the sun to find the surface without being eaten by the shark. Only then will he be able to find the land to finally walk out of liquidity.

    The argument about first cause-God or Universe-hands a victory to atheists because assuming the Universe as the axiomatic first cause conforms to Occams razor. Why postulate two unexplainable entities when you only need one? Besides, the strongest argument for God will not be found in the absurd universe but within our lived experience.

    Coming back to this, Carvalho's immediate tactic of using an ad hominem fallacy to try and disqualify his opponent, framing a purely theoretical discussion as some sort of David vs Goliath duel of egos where he is the underdog, gives a good idea of his [lack of] quality as a thinker (I can't bring myself to call him an intellectual), and betrays him as a sophist, not a philosopher. Similarly, trying to frame Dugin as a sort of powerful political machinator (as if that, even if true, would make a difference in a debate) in order to make the spectators see him as this Machiavellian monster with ulterior motives to to everything he says (in order to taint any arguments or conclusions he might reach in his thinking in their eyes, independently of the quality of his thinking) really shows his moral [lack of] quality. Naturally, he knows exactly what he is doing, as he learned everything he did with Schopenhauer's book on rhetoric and dialectics 'The Art of Being Right', which he recommended all too often, confident that his indoctrinated followers would be incapable enough to recognise those tactics in others but not in him. Nothing new for him, as I witnessed him do such also in his course on Esoterism, where he repeatedly and unashamedly expounded falsehoods about Islam and about Guénon's work and life, absolutely confident that his followers would be stupid enough to take his word for it and never look into it themselves (of course, after dully keeping them on the leash by fear mongering, arguing that if they hadn't read as much and weren't as great as thinkers as he was, they would be "caught in Guénon's sphynx". Oh the irony!). Of course, when it came to the incompetence of his "students", he was completely right, not to mention disturbingly precise with how he planted false premises (lies, bits of misinformation) in the course of his "classes" in order to get his followers to reach the intended conclusions that fit his narratives. For someone who virulently attacked what he correctly called "ideologies", he definitively was a perfect example of how an ideologue thinks and behaves in order to construct and propagate an ideology of his own.

    This is a great video, I do appreciate it. I should say, however, as a Russian speaker and someone who has listened to all of his online content in Russian, there is some serious animosity in there towards many of the important values we hold in the west, including some attacks on basic universal human rights, women’s and gay rights etc… Also, I can say with citations from lectures that Dugin’s Heidegger leans more towards the later weirdly nationalist phenomenology, as when he speaks of “a nation’s particular Dasein” etc. Excellent content keep it up 👍🏼

    I don´t doubt that you do your homework so, I´m not opposing you. However, listen to the viewpoint of a gay married Christian naturally masculine, there are only two genders American of 60 years old. There was a mind-shift in 2014. Gay marriage, won by a conservative at the Supreme Court wasn´t the change but rather, was a result. Something really ugly happened with all the Muslim murdering, pulse club, San Bernardino, all that. But this NEW GROUP, now 18 came out and blamed Christians! They caught ME, a marriage equality advocate since 1982 completely off-guard! Rings in the noise, tattooed necks, taped down tits and men in women's clothes. I went with Bros and Trump!! Lost ALL gay friends and got married in 2015. Since then, the thing which disappeared were straight mens balls!! I watched the government shackle temples and churches closed. No man stood up. Force a fake vaccine on us. No one. Where were all these, tough straight men? I´m not blaming. I am not. I'm asking. I believe you lost control of your women, and that's why everything went to shit. Elon Musk left his son at home with mom and came back to a daughter wannabe. Divorce, dick-hate and all that stuff is WOMEN. But, I can't help notice, gays still get the blame. Those "things" with sexual dysphoria, aren´t gay. 2020 was a Democrat Jew subvertion.

    Unfortunately Evola is not enough to defeat evil forces, because many of Evola ideas are evil too, he proposed as solution, stuff which are part of the problem. It is just the Faith in Jesus, and be 100% catholic as it has ever been the real only solution.

  • @zodd0001
    @zodd0001 19 дней назад

    Evola was a fierce anti-christian in youth and then more neutral in older age, specially after getting paralyzed. Anyway, Evola was a pagan, not christian and so proposed as solution to the evil, antichristian forces of modern world other antichistian stuff which are part of the problem as orientalism, sorcery, buddhism and so on. Evola's thoughts were spiritually centered and much above the average of intellectual but because his pagan errors, not being catholic, his spirituality did not point to God, but ended also to be satanic-related as well. He could not cut completely the bond with the evil modern world forces in this way, and ended to have fabricated just another erroneous modern ideology among many. The real solution to break with the modern world is to absorb and acquire completely a Teology of History mind, 100% catholic mind.

    I hope its the end of the post-modern freakshow. I somehow doubt it though. Maybe I'm just being pessimist, but we're still gonna remain with the same tasteless irony, and I don't see us returning to the kind of passionate sincerity that preceeded post-modernism. To have Trump in power is surely going to be a breath of fresh air, and a welcome one in my book. Time will tell if the postmodern world will collapse under its own pressure, or be elevated with the force of the "bro-movement", redefining, revisioning... Fingers crossed
