So I haven’t posted a video in a while for various reasons, but here we are again, with my first attempt of a POV with the M3. The conditions where damp so was more of a steady drive than all guns blazing. The POV with the Boxster was a head mounted GoPro, this time I tried mounting my main camera (Lumix LX-15) to the drivers window, unfortunately the angle was not great, so for next time I’ll ...

Perhaps there are different places a cabin air cleaner are located. Mine isn’t there.
@@timdrain4027 interesting, where is yours ?
i found on this version, the gearbox is far stiffer in comparison to the 2018/19 version of polo
Normal for couple second rattle until Scavenger pumps pick up and move the oil around.
Watch out for subframe rust.
Who cares drive it hard and have fun
Haha agree, But when the chain slips you ain't driving anywhere!
@@Leee4444 I bought a 2002 base boxster that had 245 thousand miles on it. I didn't know anything about the ims or other issues with these cars but after finding out I did worry some but it's too much of a great car to worry about stuff like that. If it blows up it becomes the track car lol then it will get special treatment. Only paid 4000 for it already put 8 thousand miles on it and I cut the exhaust can out lol.
Where can I get the mostly red rear lamps, my UK one has chrome in them.. red looks better.
I live inside of fiat doblo, good space for short man like me😅
i have the same problem on my 2007 fox...what is the link to the company you send youre cluster to?......in Holland not more available
We’re is the power steering top up or is it electric
Just found the volume too low. Otherwise a good review.
How are these for towing?
1200 pounds??? That is insane
This was pre covid days when things where cheaper!
Good m3 is 25k here
0:11What do you mean by normie ?
I mean like normal consumer, people not that interested in cars.
You just damage PCB. Should be unsolder. Not strip off. That way you must buy other one. Exchange od not the same like repair.
The famous Quattrro technology of audi is called Bluemotion in Volkswagen group, it is equivalent,
Bluemotion is VW groups fuel efficiency technology, unlike Audis quattro tech which is a type of 4 wheel drive system.
The only thing I do not like about the Doblo, is that the driver seat is to far away from the door. You can not rest your left arm (or for you people that are driving on the wrong side of the road, right arm) on the door. The door is waaaay out there, comming from VW Transporters its almost scary that theres so much space around you when driving these things. Oh, and the steeringwheel is to small, its almost impossible to steer the thing with your knee while rolling a cigaret. Even with the steeringwheel way down low, where you cant see the instruments. So, roll up what you need, place a block of foam on the door to rest your left (or right) arm, and its a great little big car.
i have to correct you at 1:35 left hand drive has the same weird glove box shape on mine x) i hate it but the "compartment" under the driver seat saves my butt for most of the things i need in my car :D
Thanks for the info ! I normally find that the lhd versions of cars have the full glove box, funny how this one doesn't.
i have the 2002 1.9 ,been a great van reliability wise but its a shame they attract so much rust but i try to keep it alive as long as i can because its so handy
2.7 ?
It's a 3.2
Nice video, thanks a lot!!
Thanks! Youre welcome.
Epsom race course?
Hello. Any ideea how many rpm the engine sits at when you're going 70-80 mph?(130kph)
That I can't remember, sorry 😔
Any speed up to 115 is smooth after that it starts maxing out so gets a bit twitchey love this car would recommend
Mph btw
i'm curious to, did you find out yet?
2600@ 70mph
What's the RFL at for these now? Horrific?
Don't know what RFL stands for.
@@Leee4444 Road Fund Licence, or 'road tax' :-)
@@kwakkers68 never heard it abbreviated lol. Well they just raised it again didn't they ! It's 395 now!!
@@Leee4444 Good grief! Money well spent though ... What with our roads being so smooth, and well maintained ...... (NOT!) ;-)
I'd rather have basic all day long - less to go wrong, easier to fix. Seems that Citroen have ruined their latest version Berlingo ... yes, refined, but more complicated, and a lot more money!
Everything is now much more complex, the nature of regulation and innovation. Little money to be made in something cheap and basic apparently.
Are there parallels with the French equivalents? Various come with a 1.9 ... Common engine? Friends of mine had a Doblo, they called it the 'Pope Mobile' ... Put 150k (miles) on it, very few problems ... Sold it, got a Nissan Qashqai <> LOTS of issues, spent a fortune on it ... Japanese reliability not as bulletproof as it once was .....
I can't remember which were common now, however Fiat did pioneer the common rail diesel system and sold it on so to some degree a lot of the other engines are based off this.
Its really seems to be the nature of the horizontally opposed boxster engine and gravity.
Ur wrong 110 hp and 175 Nm
No that’s the R-Line 1,2L TSI, that’s the blue motion
The one I just purchased doesn’t have an arm rest 😢
Can always find an armrest and retro fit one. I just did this to my Yaris.
@@Leee4444 the handbrake is a bit forward so I’m not sure if it would fit and be convenient did ur Yaris have the same thing ? Thank you though ! 😊
I have had a 2012 2.2 turbo diesel version from new. At 100,000km I discovered a failure of the 4x4 transfer box (I suspect that this may have been from new). Although it was well out of warranty Hyundai offered the parts for nothing. Apart from that, it has been extremely reliable and its now done 220,000km
As I understand it's a common problem with both the Santa and the Sorento. Can be repaired to a stronger construction and will hold until the first atomic bomb hits... 😂 From factory it will fail sooner or later.
12:45 the other reasons I see are Ground Clearence! and 4WD! :)
Loved this review
Oh dom meter😊
I've had my 2010 model 2.2 diesel for nearly 3 years with no problems 120000 on it he clock now with no issues other than a shock absorber it tows our 5 berth caravan lovely and has so much space in it . Great Value for money car the I'm glad I purchased
Pls tell me how much çan you load on thé lenght ?how many feet?
I drive a 2010 one. This car stick you out. First it is not a common vehicle like Ford Mondeo or Vauxhall Insignia. Second the car is bigger than other small mid size SUVs like Nissan X-Trail, Toyota Rav4 or Mitsubishi Outlander. Even bigger than Q5 or X3. Third the car has distinctive features like asymmetrical tailgate release and roof rails.
Thanks so much for posting this. I had exactly the same problem with my 2007 VW Fox and was unsure where to turn but the company you recommended fixed the ribbon and returned the cluster to me in less than 48 hours. I owe you a drink or two.
I have a 2010 2.2 diesel here in the UK. Love it!
love an early morning ride. is this a 3.2?
Do they come with heated mirrors
Yes, if you have the winterpackage. Ft. Heated front seats, mirrors, windscreen sprayers and headlightcleaners.
I've never heard anyone pronounce it "Do-blo" it's pronounced "Dob-lo" 😅
I've just bought a wheelchair accessible Doblo with the 1.4 engine. Only 39K miles from new and a full service history. It does 38-40MPG which I'm really surprised about. The Doblo was also the best driving Van/Van MPV on the market when it came out.
I've also got a wheelchair accessible version by Gowrings. Great car but issues with fuel tank mounting, exhaust system and rear suspension.
@@islandhopperstuart sounds like you've been unlucky, mine was Gowrings! I've now sold mine and have a MINI Cooper instead. Never had an issue with the Doblo, the MINI on the other hand.... 😅
I've had a 330 Ci vert (owned for 5 years from late 2010) and currently have an M3 vert. I'd agree with most of this. The 330 actually has more likely failure points though, but they are cheap and easy to fix. All the M3 issues are costly and need experts. The 330 was so easy to get in and use. Stick 95 or 99, doesn't really matter. I actually paid almost the same but that's time. Nice 330 vert in 2010 with 60k miles was £7.5k and a slightly needy M3 with 72k miles in 2020 was £9k Worth noting the manual boxes are made by Getrag. I found the 5 speed in my 2001 330 much easier to live with than the 6 speed in the M3. I've just refreshed the bushes and fitted a 545i shifter. Feels better but still on axle stands. If you want an M tax example, I've got a 3.0d X3 as well. BMW dealer oil service is £250 Same dealer same service on the M - they quoted £779! Screw FBMWSH Which would I choose? Easy, whichever one I could run without worrying. I couldn't afford to worry in 2010 so got a 330. I hate to say it though, the E46 don't half feel dated to drive now. If utsa daily, all those rattle and squeeks take their toll. My wife hates the M3. She's so against it, I don't bother driving it if she's out. You forget all of that at about 7k rpm
why would she hate it?
@MCJimboy10 because she's a boring miserable **** with cars. Would prefer to be in the X3 in near silence and total comfort.
BMW don't make gearboxes. Well, not in the e46 M or non M.
People that don't appreciate the 986, have never driven it. I love the midengine setup; I went from MR2 mk2, MGF, MR2 mk3, MR2 mk2 custom V6 to the 986 2.7. Love it!
Fully agree with this! Very underrated cars, and I would say luckly too, otherwise I wouldnt have been able to afford one!
@@Leee4444 true!😄
How did the 986 compare to the MR2's? Particularly with steering feel and nimbleness. I'm on the fence on whether I should buy an MR2 or a 986 Boxster: love the flat-6 sound, but worried it'll be a more dulled experience (and that all the cheap 986's near me will be expensive to own)
I think the steering feel of the 986 is best and it's nimble (enough) in 1st to 3rd gear. It all is mechanical enough in the 986 to not give you a dulled feeling. The MR2 mk2 felt a bit heavy, the mk3 a bit more fun but underpowered. Maintenance cost of the 986 aren't too bad (at least in The Netherlands) and most parts last long.
The rattle on start up are the lifters, my car does it on a clod start for a few seconds
beautiful sound. love an e46, any problems with it?
No issues, it's a good example this one. However I will be sorting all the know issues with these M3s soon. Rod bearings, Racp, vanos
@@Leee4444 Would be great to see some videos of that. great review on the polo. Only one I could find with the 1.2 TSI
@@finleypdoherty hopefully soon, as its only a hobby, hard to find the time to get the videos together unfortunately.

Sorry to hear that Mary, i hope you can get it sorted, it could be a number of things, a good gargae will be able to help.
I love my boxster s but I live in call and just having a little fun I’m at already 80 mph, wish the car had shorter gears/ also already got a reckless driving ticket, so now i just gotta wait to hit the track
