Thats really important vedio that you have uploaded. I really appreciate that. It will be good to have a complete demonstration of CHT simulation ( from surface import to cleanup to mesh to solution to post process) it will really help beginners as there are not much of the youtube vedio available for cht simulation in starccm.
Hello I'm having this problem after opening a new file Starting local server: starccm+ -server -notokens -power -np 2 "file name.sim" Unable to start STAR-CCM+. Invalid file type. Check arguments and their order.------Anyone knows how to solve it?

Thank you for your video. I am using k-omega model and tried to do mesh refine on the basis of wall_Y+ value. I turned on all available temporary storage retained available under solver but not able to see definition of the properties. Can you guide me, how to do it. Thank you
I'm working with Star-CCM+ 13.02.013-R8 and cannot seem to find the pressure reconstruct gradient in the functions. The syntax for the user defined function is also giving me an error. Any ideas why that might be?

You can use CATIA V5 then Save your file as (.igs) then start Star ccm+ and import Surface mesh

its funny you have a motorcycle as a example,the industry as a whole shows little interest in aerodynamics and motorcycles,despite the fact,in most cases a enclosed motorcycle will almost double its range.They seem to be stuck on 1950 motorcycles in motogp using dustbin fairings,I think we have improved the overall handling since the 1950's,with they're much improved brakes,tires,alignment,chassis design etc I believe the motorcycles could not handle the increased speeds, more so then ,it was about stability issues,crosswinds.I think we could easily design a safe enclosed motorcycle today,without the expense of a Peraves Monotracer. If you look at Streamlined electrics on youtube,he has a few designs[enclosed motorcycle],it would be fun to test them in a program like this.

i get an error Wrapper::generateOctreeMesh: Largest Internal Volume does not exist. Try reducing the smallest relevant volume or reducing refinement sizes..can you help me igure out this

Really useful guide, how do I use nested if statements? I need to refine between 3 levels depending on the value of TKE but my attempts seem to generate memory errors.
Wish there were more of these tutorials.. its way better than reading through the "help" within Star-CCM+. Im doing a CFD model of temperature and airflow through a regenerative indirect evaporative cooler as my bachelor thesis. So this is very useful!
