Your "work" is phenomenal. So many times in my long life, I've wished I weren't so doggone color blind. This is one of those times! I doubt I would know what to do with anything more than just dirt and rust. Pretty sure your video is going to inspire a lot of modelers. That car looks really beat up.

I have a tiny space so have chosen n scale for my first build. Love your series. Did you choose your loco and rolling stock first as part of the project?

Household size paintbrush....you mean a Bob Ross background brush lol I need to see how the turnouts are weathered. It's nice when I can add power to my frogs and get them isolated with normal track, and then just indiscriminately paint everything with an airbrush. I wonder how Kato turnouts will work with this method. I'd rather not have to use powders. The ballasting is nice though. I think I'm going to end up using ground goop to level out the roadbed so it's more or less ground level.

GREAT STUFF But as I have found and as you can see in my videos. GO THE STATIC GRASS APPLICATOR You will never regret it. Excellent result Im about to model a T SCALE section within my OO layout so drawing inspiration on how to take things down to a smaller size. yes Luke Towan is a fellow Queenslander here in Australia and hes is a great inspiration.

Why wouldn't you paint the rails before gluing the track down? Or at least before ballasting, to avoid having to work around the ballast particles which inevitably attach themselves to or near the rail web? Then the weathering powders, when worked in/ blended, hit the painted rails as well.

Yes yes yes the glue. That is my worry. As I do a lot of woodworking, I know the glue does not take paint or stain. N scale is so small. How would you glue without any glue seeping out from joints. So I must figure something out.
